 been doing a fight for awhile now, trying to get a specific KB to trigger and I'm starting to wonder if it's because of my weapons...

I'm DW axe/dagger and was trying for the one where you run the guy through & decapitate him. Is it incompatible with this combination?

I just can't remember which hand you use to decapitate him, since I may be wasting my time if it's the dagger hand (since I can't very well gut him with the axe).

I take it you're talking about stabbing your left hand weapon through his gut and taking his head off with the other? I'm not sure, but I would think that can only be accomplished with a dagger or sword in the left hand. Haven't been using axes or maces at all, but I would think those would negate that particular animation, especially if held with the left hand. However, I've seen characters stabbing ogres with maces, so maybe it doesn't really matter.

Jsmith0730, you might want to have a look at this project. You can use it to force Deathblows for all valid targets. That should help you out in your weapon testing.

I'll have to check that project out, thanks. I just ended up taking whatever I got and moving on. I wasn't getting any decaps at all, which is odd since out of about two hours of trying, I'd have figured I'd get the odd luck. I've gotten them before only after several attempts, so who knows, but it was always with a 1h/shield or 2h or dag/dag.



Leske wasn't getting them either, even though he was running Beraht through also with the dagger so maybe it is an axe thing.

It doesn't matter which hand uses which. Even if you've got an axe wielded as the off-hand weapon, the animation might look a bit weird, but he'll stab the guy with an axe, and decapitate him with a mace(assuming you're using a mace).
