Now that all three games are out, which character, in your opinion, had the best voice behind him/her?  Which person(s) best brought that character to life?  Made you really feel that character was a real person?  You don't have to pick just one.  Feel free to name several.  And this is NOT a "favorite character" thread.  Please don't treat it as such.

It'd be hard to pick, as several characters had amazing talent behind them.  If I had to pick one though, it would be Liz Stroke (aka Tali).  To me, she did such an amazing job giving that character a personality.  Tali's one of the few characters in the series where we get to see almost her whole personality expressed - from happiness, to fury, to crushing grief.  She brought Tali to life, and did it all without us being able to see the character's facial expressions.  Everything from the tone of voice, the accent, and the way it changes between ME1 and ME2 to reflect her maturity, made Tali seem very real.  It fit the character perfectly.

Others would include (in no particular order):

D.C. Douglas (Legion).  Shepard Commander!  Enough said.
Steven Barr (Wrex).  Fit the character perfectly.
Peter Jessop (Sovereign).  Did a great job in the minimal dialogue he had.
Michael Beattie (Mordin in Mass Effect 2).  Preferred him over the VA in ME3.
Seth Green (Joker)  Maybe it's just cause I like Robot Chicken.

So what do you think?  Who was your favorite?  Again, this is not a favorite character thread.  Just focus on the voice behind the character.

Keith David and Martin Sheen as Anderson and TIM, no doubt. That final confrontation had some of the best voice acting I've seen in a game.

Legends, those two.

EDIT: Also, no sarcasm, I want to give a medal to whoever Bubin's voice actor is. His: "Badassfully: Damn it...Blasto...they got me...they got me bad..." line had the most emotion I've heard from a delibrately monotone voice ever.

Mr. Beattie is probably my favorite. I liked Steven Barr until Mass Effect 3 but that isn't his fault. The vocal effects Wrex had seem diminished greatly so he sounds like less of a badass.

Martin Sheen was epic in ME2 and ME3, but there wasn't enough of him in 3 IMO.

Jack simply wouldn't work if she didn't have Courtenay Taylor as her voice-actress. Ms. Taylor did a superb job, and I think she's the best voice-actor in the series.

Michael Beattie as Mordin, is shame he didn't voice him in ME3 (first confirmed disappointment from BW).

And Jen did a gret work with femshep.

Strahovski did a good work with Miranda, it was a shame that a lot of players (the mayority of them from US) didn't like it for the aussie accent.

I second Liz Sroka and also want to mention Mark Meer in *all* of his roles (which includes [but is not limited to] Niftu Cal, the Krogan Scout, the Krogan on the presidium that wants the fish, whiny eclipse merc, Blasto, a bunch of other volus, and that merc in Dr. Michel's office).

Ash Sroka and Martin Sheen probably best imo, they can put real emotion and sounds like they were that character and not just voice acting it.

I suggest you listen Tali's goodbye speech, Sroka did really nice VA there, sounds like it was happening in real life especially that breaking point "i want more time"

Martin Sheen did awesome job as TIM, he was like luring me to join cerberus, too bad i could not do that in ME3

Mordin was good also in ME2. Garrus at ME3, his voice actor seems to try given his best in final game. Kal'Reegar also had some great lines of voice acting, "hit it for me, Keelah Se'lai"

Mark Meer sounds like he is reading from paper unlike those above

Too many great performances.

Personal standouts would have to be Yvonne Strahovski, Michael Beattie and Martin Sheen. Oh, and Maggie Baird.

Martin Sheen of course. He is a great actor with big experience, I liked him before Mass Effect already.

Almost everyone did a great job in doing their roles. Although I feel Mark Meer deserves a special mention for having the best and most noticeable improvement in his voice acting throughout the trilogy. Going from his poor preformance in ME1 to surpassing Jennifer Hale in ME3.

All is just my opinion of course.:innocent:

Well, I like Meer's voice, it's pretty manly. Don't know why everybody dislike him.

You're kidding! I loved her Aussie accent. Thought that she did a great job with the role. But my favorite VA was Keith David. His portrayal of Anderson was magnificent.

Emotionally I'd say Kimberly Brooks. She did a great work for Ash (of course, you need to keep her alive to enjoy that voice).

Others are Martin Sheen and I think I also like Tricia Helfer ^^
