I'm on Xbox... it's happinging to me. The worst part is that they want something like 300k for me to buy a new pass....

At least you got the offer.

I just get told that I need an online pass in order to buy an online pass.

i know ea own bioware, but bioware didn't make origin, so why blame bioware for an origin issue, regardless of who owns who, bioware don't deal with this part of the service.

Yeah. Really grumpy that they decided Valve's terms were unacceptable.

We already went through the growing pains with one digital content delivery service, I'm really not seeing a good reason to go through another two years of beta testing a client.

Yeah Steam was a pile of **** when it started.  I remember it got hammered and you couldn't play HL2 because of how much **** was going on for the 1st month.  But look at it now, its pretty much what everyone wants to be.  GOG and D2D atm are pretty good.  GOG for having all the old school games on cheap all the damn time and having the TRUE versions of The Witcher games and D2D for being another alt to Steam.  Origin however..../sigh.

Bioware/EA really love to drive nails into their own coffin don't they, to bad EA always passes the damage off on the studio. I can't really see Bioware lasting much longer, will die off just like so many other studios that were associated with EA.

Mass Effect 3's handling of DLC and constant authorizations has pretty much ensured I will not be purchasing Bioware product's again. This is just stupid.

I agree. What really annoys me is that they added to have the DLC authenticated every time instead of just once as it had been the case with Mass Effect 2.

Then again, I do think that the community should stop bashing EA for a lack of creativity...after all, they do find constantly new ways to screw with the game experience...

Is there anyone on the PC who doesn't have this problem? Is it everyone or just some of us random unlucky sobs? I don't really know what to say at this point. This is just sad.

I'm so glad EA wanted to make their own service instead of going with Steam. You know how Steam just works, downloads all your updates and DLCs automatically for you? And doesn't randomly delete your account details? Man Steam is such a terrible inconvienence.

Of course it's a bad thing.  It doesn't make EA any money.  EA can't come up with an original idea.  They just want your hard earned cash.

Also, Mr. Xbox player who isn't an elitist, stop griefing or prepare to get reported, and possibly banned.  ~_~  Do you seriously not get enough attention in your parent's basement?  Maybe you should act out in 5th grade like everyone else your age.  ~_~

Grief us too much, and you won't have anyone to grief or troll, as you will be banned from the internet alltogether.

The online pass and DLC crap is from Bioware, not EA. Origin itself is not to bad, it's Bioware that is the issue here.

excuse me, but we can do way more things with a computer than with a console.
Why the hell are you all "Im superior"?
console ****s are silly...

anyway...
I wonder how long they will take to fix the issue.

considering there are so many bugs that never got fixed in older games.. makes me wonder of the reliability of bioware since EA bought them..

And it gets even better...

I tried going to EA's help page. Clicked on "contact us".

Call Me: greyed out, no advisors available at this time
Live Chat: greyed out, no advisors available at this time
Email Me: greyed out!! REALLY, your email doesn't even work now!!

Best part is I can't even pass the time playing single player because I got the Collector's Edition that included From Ashes. It won't let me load up my SP campaign because my DLC can't be verified.

I guess I'll stop wondering if I should buy Kingdoms of Amalur when school gets out. Time to just write off anything that involves EA/Origin.

then why is it only EA dealing with this and not bioware, do you see bioware saying it will be fixed soon? no it's ea saying that. The online pass afaik is EA's idea, it's in other ea games.

and origin is more than bad, it's terribad.

Yeah, Bioware has lost my undying support of their games. I'm going to have to wait for the community's opinion on their next games before I consider buying it.

Another thing about the DLC authentications that sucks: is in the future when those activation servers are dead, there will be no way for people to enjoy them.
Unless, they release new versions of the games with the offline DLCs for more cash.<_< EA has gotten this market figured out.

you 100% sure it doesnt use Origin/Bioware system too?

also, after all this.. hmm.. Makes me wonder.. what if Anonymous or other group hacked EA as revengue for the whole Rock Band thing Fiasco on itunes..

I mean, they hacked Sony and many other big companies...
