This isn't a blanket issue EA/Bioware can fix with a patch. It's an individual account issue that needs to be fixed by re-synching authentication between specific accounts and the EA Server. Somehow, during the patching process, the data on the EA Server side and our accounts becomes corrupted.

This -is- due to the recent patch. This is the exact same error I had when Bioware launched patch 1.02, and it took EAHelp 8 days to fix my issue. The only reason I eventually resolved my issue was because, every day for eight days, I hounded some poor EAHelp staff person until I got one who knew what he/she was doing.

I do not believe 'waiting' will fix this issue.

that is for a seperate problem which has been resolved, the online pass issue is a new one.

The specific problem that was the topic of that thread was resolved.

This is a different issue altogether from that one.

I haven´t read all the 30 pages but wanted to tell you, who´s wondering about the reason of this issue, that in the german PC Help Forum a few talked with the support hotline in Germany and have been told that this issue (PC only!!) is due to a bug in the latest update (Which included the implementation for PS3). SOmething went wrong with this update so all PC users, like myself, get the message to redeem / purchase an online pass.

The above just to let you know.

Sorry for eventual misspellings...i´m not a native english speaker.

ah.. she wasn't very specific which problem had been resolved, except the mention of packs at the end which could have been "the' or just one of the issues . At least that's the way i read it.
