They may not have lied. There is an .ini hack that allows people to log into SP or MP without authentication with the servers. This hack became very popular during the original problems with getting ME3 to run, and was used by real owners of ME3 not just pirates, so they could play the game. Many of them have actually posted here on the forum to say that they are able to play MP today. 

As far as EA is concerned no-one logging in is a possibility..as is the possibility of it only being one of the regional servers down.


Well I can ask if he modded something, but I don't want to believe that 4 players are 'hacking' anything on my FL.

The person on my FL told me that he has his commendation pack and victory pack.
I only opened my victory pack and wanted to open my commendation pack this morning, but then this glitch happened.

Read the EULA. They can discontinue their support at any time. This is a view of things to come. In 10 years you'll be able to reinstal and play ME1, ME2, but ME3 not so much. It's like Halo 2 on the Xbox, you simply can't play online anymore as they don't offer the service (local only). ME3 will go this way one day too and since it appears that SP is tied to MP in the regard of the online pass, if they dont patch the game to not require this checkup, when they stop supporting the servers, ME3 will be truly unplayable. This is, also, allowed, in the EULA (which we all argreed to). Of cource pirates will be able to play it then anyway....

I doubt we could do that but I think given this latest, IMMENSE and not really forgiveable flop, we can be assured that the forthcoming Vorcha DLC will be free.

Ok, so far France, Germany, UK and Russia are effected. Any more countries? It just might help narrow down the issue...well if anyone is actually reading this thread from Bioware.

Just got it as well. Restarting the game and Origin didn't help nor updating my copy of ME3:CE. This is damn annoying. Are there any statemenst from Bioware yet?

EDIT: Just saw one in the Technical Support Forum:
