This just happened to both me and my fiance on our individual, legitimately paid for accounts. How frustrating. Single player is also effectively crippled as the game can't authenticate the "From Ashes" DLC.

Rebooting origin didn't help. I guess I'll have to wait... looks like contacting support right now is a waste of time. This DRM is counter-intuitive.

well i don't know if the would be lynched by the media... Look at BP, BoA and others. So media backlash is not a indicator of consumer anger

Imagine any indie developer launching a game and, when you've purchased the game, you can not play it. It is broken. Does not work as intended. Think the gaming sites wouldn't jump on that with a host of '0/10 WORST GAME EVER. BROKEN. DO NOT USE" reviews? You bet they would.

Does anyone know if Bioware is even aware of this problem and is handling it. Prehaps something on twitter or did they adress it here?

The funny thing is, the online pass system is entirely redundant on the PC anyway. You need Origin to play the game (legit) and you can only register the game once. There is no possible way to play with a used copy on Origin.

that is the fun part, the buttons do nothing..
even if you click on BUY .. it will just go back and tell you about how you need the onlinepass..

in short, its a completey bugged up crapload of bull!.

it seems they pushed a xbox or ps3 type patch to PC players.

Well... I am not questioning your theory, just your rationalization. Neither EA or Bioware qualify as a indie company and should an indie put out a buggy game its often looked at as a nice try and maybe with money it would have been worth while. As for media coverage, well you can look at what passes for news in most countries and draw your ownn conclusion

I just discovered this new "feature" too. It's actually sad that I'm not surprised at another part of the game breaking. It's actually pretty comical how horribly shaky and unstable this game is. Games with much more complex multiplayer components, that are multi-platform as well, don't have anywhere near this level of insane instability.

Support: I understand how disappointing it is. Some of the customers have reported this issue. Our developers are aware of it and are working for a resolution. We appreciate your patience while the issue is being looked into.

Support: I am completely understanding your frustration and I know this is annoying for any player. We have already forwarded the information to our development team and they are working hard to resolve this issue as soon as possible.

So yeah...

This is also what they said to me.
I hope this gets fixed immediately.

This is why I really hope the next Dragon Age doesn't have a multiplayer

pretty sure all the EA support is now managed in India or something.. because these guys sometimes cant write coherent words.. and have to rely on cut & paste answers.

The game is asking me for an online pass but I can still play single player offline without any problems.

Just got off a live chat with EA and the upshot seems to be they are aware of the problem and to try again in a few hrs. Bad couple of days for MP bugs it seems

Quote from EA support "I am afraid as its a temp issue and we are already aware of this, our senior members are working on it for a fix,I request you to please wait for some more time.

You can try that after couple of hours."

Bioware is the first developer I've seen get WORSE at this as time goes by.

Maybe this should have been titled the "One Step Forward, Two Steps Backwards Operation"?

Sad part is I BOUGHT THIS ON ORIGIN FFS, ONLINE PASS IS NOT EVEN APPLICABLE YET YOUR STUPID ANTI-USED GAMES SALES STANCE IS PUNISHING CUSTOMERS WHO DID NOT EVEN BUY THE GAME USED AND COULD NOT SELL IT EVEN IF THEY WANTED TOO AFTER THIS ENDLESS PARADE OF FLUSTERCUCKS.

I think either EA is just oblivious to what they are doing to us or they are planning to stop being a company but trying to squeeze every last penny out of us before they go. We're not the only ones that EA is screwing over.

http://www.gamebreak...obile-2/wtf-ea/

They are also shutting down the ability for iOS devices to play Rock Band after selling it for $4.99 in addition to music packs. As of May 31, if you have Rock Band, you will no longer be able to play it period.

I hate you EA... just sell all your developers to companies that don't suck completely and die quietly in a ditch somewhere.

Ah, you must have told it to play single player offline before now.   Good call.  No reason to ever play single player online.

Okay, ... I'm about to go nuclear. This week has been one going ****up ever since then end of the event and it just keeps getting better and better.

They'll better start fixing their issues FAST or I'll be looking into ways to get that FUBAR'ed mess off from my account and my money back.

Well, I can't say I've ever been a fan of Diablo. But, the continuing and growing shenanigans in ME3 are making me examine Diablo III more closely. I bet the Blizzard folks are pleasantly surprised right about now.

Nah, that doesn't work - it'll keep saying "Redeem/Purchase Online Pass" in the lower right area of the Main Menu.

Also, this isn't related to the update/patch of earlier today. I installed that roughly 6 hours ag, and was able to play after it still, even after several restarts. Though when I decided to check if I had received a commendation pack an hour ago or so, I also encountered this issue.

Strike 1 - Connectivity issue
Strike 2 - Online Pass issue at the same day
One more Problem and it'll be STRRRRRRIIIKKEE 3!!!

I've been playing games since the time of NES, and if memory serves me right, this is the first game that I've experienced 2 really bad problems at the SAME day.
Just saying.
