This presupposes that some people were able to even see the victory packs, let alone open them. This issue prevented me from logging in to multi-player before the packs had even populated in my "store."

Agreed. An online-version of a child's texting toy doesn't count as official company language in any business model. Their front site, www.bioware.com, says absolutely nothing about an issue that is currently crippling their flagship product. The section on Mass Effect 3 News also is silent.
edit: I realize that there are occasional thread replies from employees, and while that's helpful to those individuals willing to wade through the thousands of posts and pages indicative of a forum this size, ensuring that the general public has a focal point for their news - like the company's front page - would be beneficial.

Since it is happening to everyone considering of the commendation pack status, you got people with the pack due, people who have the pack but havent opened, and people who have recieved and opened the pack like i have. That is just pure lies, since it should not concern me and others who no longer have anything to do with the packs.

I wanted to let you know that the team is aware of this issue and is actively working to resolve it for those of you having problems connecting to multiplayer due to this online pass entitlement. When I have more information or the issue is resolved, I will update you.
