"Repair install" works real fast. This doesn't download the whole game new. Instead, it just checks the game file (rather quickly, about ~40MB/s).

I just got an email from Bioware support telling me to repair the install:-Login to Origin
-Right click on game icon.
Click on “repair install”
It will download update of the game.
Launch the game and it should work.
Before I download a 9GB file, has anyone tried doing this?

1. I can't play multiplayer because you've destroyed the account info somehow
2. I can't play single player because it won't load a saved game because you've destroyed my account info.
3. You can't get a single update out without tearing something up.
4. Please stop the weekend challenges because obviously for your Systems Administrators this is to complicated. I'll just play without the "nifty" packs you keep messing up.
5. Speaking of packs you can't get them out on time either.
6. You should have made the game a stand-alone game rather than tying it in with Origin that way when you mess up multiplayer you don't destroy single player as well.
7. Who's idea was it to tie the entire thing into Origin to play? That person should be fired immediately for being a moron.
8. What is wrong with you...why is this so hard? If you need someone to help you run this I'll help. I'm very good at networking (I'll even fix your latency issues) and I can manage to run a database without destroying it.
9. I'm guessing the guys behind the scenes didn't get their CCNP's (lol cisco joke for those not in the KNOW).
10. Please give us a patch or download that will unlink this from Origin so I can uninstall this useless program that I only have on here because it's the only way I can play this game.
I hate steam, but I really hate origin. When STEAM replaced WON.net I thought... "this is terrible", but as of now I'm fairly certain the guys over at Valve are laughing themselves silly at how badly implemented this is.

I called EA; got the "sorry, re-install your game answer". The guy was really nice though and left me with a 15% coupon for any future EA store stuff, so better than nothing I suppose.

It is a workaround for anyone who wants to play SP and somehow cannot launch in offline mode - when it happened to me offline mode would not allow me to play at all. So actually, GOOD for you if it works, but im posting for the benefit of others, not you. How self centred can you be? If you dont like the tip DONT USE IT? The tip is 100% guaranteed to work for ANYONE wanting to play single player but for whatever reason cant because of DLC restrictions.
