"Raghav:

I sincerely apologize for the inconvenience you have experienced. Currently we're running with some temporary problem with the game that's why you're facing this problem. Please have some more patience and this would be resolved in couple of hrs. This concern has already been informed to our engineer's and they're working on the fix."

This was followed by the scripted response of repairing your ME3 game!

Temporary problem my *ss. It's been at least a day now. That does not qualify as temporary and we certainly don't buy that its going to be resolved 'in a few hours'.

They are an oilfield service company. You have no idea what you are talking about.

Yes, he does know what he is talking about.  Read the entire Wiki file as apparently you only read the first sentence.  Also, Cheney once served on the board and then while in government awarded them no-bid contracts that have been under heavy investigation.  They are even connected to the Deepwater Horizon accident in the Gulf.

There probably isn't a more corrupt company than Halliburton.

"Cant wait for Diablo 3, it's going to be so much better than this crapfest!'
-A few posters
What they don't realize, however, is that Diablo 3 requires an active internet connection for their SINGLE PLAYER PORTION of the game because all of the saves are hosted serverside. Oh JOY OF JOYS. Especially after the Beta weekend fiasco, I am seeing a striking semblance to our current predicament.

That being said, I do not want all of this ****ty DRM, why are you people (EA) not content to get what paying customers you have? My 80 USD paperweight is currently useless (well, I could play the singleplayer campaign again, though I'd really rather not), and no relief is eminent. What is the deal, Bioware/EA?

Still no news yet?

Are Bioware going for some new record or something?

their last message was 5 hours ago saying they're working on a fix.. so no record there.

Yeah that is about as useful as "We are working on a solution to fossil fuel" or "We are working on a solution to global warming".

That isn't news, it's a brush off.

it's more useful than them not saying anything at all, at least you know they are trying to get it fixed.

Do we really ?

Any game that requires an internet conection to play SP is not a game that should be invested in, I have seen the error of my ways.

i wonder if we all would be compensated for not being able to play.
i'm on my weekend holidays , and i can't play and it pisses me off.
i didn't pay 70 euros, for a game which is defective .

Agreed!  It should be made a commandment.  Right up there with 'Thou shalt not buy EA.'

Give me a Valiant X and all is forgiven. As long as my MP profile hasn't been wiped, of course!

Honestly, I would not be surprised if all the stats are wiped clean as a result of "fixing it".

It would fit perfectly with EA's track-record.

There's another thread on this issue, so I'll just post what I posted there:

To be honest, I think this problem has been escalating for a while.

First, it was just poor connection to EA servers only. Then, it was just the odd, random disconnect from server. Then, the disconnection became more frequent and more and more badly timed (lose connection during 8/9 round sound familiar?).
And then, I suddenly find I apparently have no online pass.

Dear EA,

fix Origin or bin it.

Typed with (restrained) contempt,
A Paying Customer.

Dear Bioware,

Dump EA.

Typed with love,
A Loyal Paying Customer.

Problem persists and they're working on it.
Nothing else to report.

So decided to play BF3 to kill time till servers back up (huge BF fan up until this game), and what do you know? Lots of bugs and cheaters. EA needs to get their crap together. I like the games they put out but it would nice if they could actually finish one instead of giving us betas

Lots of people have broken online access.  Apparently related to our victory/commendation packs.

Again.

EA support has no idea what's going on.

Again.

BioWare IS aware of the problem and is working on a fix that will be released ASAP.

Again.

Diablo 3 differs in that you must be online to play at all -- not just for authentication.

Executive vice president of game design Rob Pardo notes that the wealth of improvements and features Diablo 3 brings to Battle.net necessitate the always-online requirement.

I am crushing your dreams hahaha

pfftt....seriously!  I mean, really, it was a crap system anyway.  "Here are some cool weapons that we just gave you in sp but in mp you have to participate in special weekend events to get packs we'll break or take forever to get to you.  And oh btw, you need 40 of them to get the weapons lvled up!  40!  Isn't that just the best thing you've ever heard?  And we'll make that we set a pace that will take you like the next 5 years to get them all."

It's funny because everyone who pirated it can play it right now.
Everyone who has a legit version just can't.

exactly jason , people who pay for the game with hard earned money can't use it , while people who just got the illegal copy of the game can play the game and just laugh in our faces.
I want a REFUND !

That is frakin sad.

Soon they will ask for credit card, passport, visa and birthright act before you can play a freakin game.

That is frakin sad.
