All bioware will do is release a well timed free multiplayer DLC that will prob keep everyone quite till this problem happens again. Funny thing is, if Bioware does release DLC, they will say its free because of this BS, but we all know it was gonna be free all along since its just new maps/chars for multi.

If anything though, imo we should all get some Bioware points for this mess. Maybe 300-500 points since most people haven't had access to the game in 48+ hrs now

This is complete and utter Bull****. I just got out of chat with EA support, and some indian or middle eastern guy (Rahzeed?) answered my chat. he answered with pretty much only hotkeyed scripts, and when i forced him outta those with questions, i got broken english, asking me too repeat my questions... THEN after about half an hour of waiting for him too give me a decent reply, the guy says, oh it server problem, be up in few hours more. seriously EA, get some people in the united states, or people who can speak proper english. this online pass thing is ridonculous.

Thus why I said the saves are hosted server side. Not only that, but the beta/full release have already had this cracked for a few weeks now. So, once again, the pirates are winning, and the paying customers are paying for the price(in more ways than one). Nothing about online only is "necessary". It's all rubbish piled on rubbish, as has been proven countless times over already. DRM/attempts only hurt legitimate customers.

not for me, no changes at all, still connects, still requires and online pass.

EA/Bioware problem solving

1. To stop ppl complaining about not getting their promotional packs -> 2. Introduce multiplayer bug-> 3. Stop ppl complaining about new bug by turning off EA servers -> 4. ??? Profit

Well, they are all back home after a hard day of work. But do not fret, the servers should be fixed with in a few hours.

I'm just waiting for another bioware employer to come back on and tell us were still "working hard" at it and that this situation is "very important" to us. Though prob won't see another msg for 6-12hrs because bioware thinks we only need to know every 6-12hrs rather then 3-4hrs.

most recent thing ive seen was a twitter post an hour ago saying "Yes, that's a known issue. We're working to get it resolved asap for you. We should have an update soon."

At least I assume its regarding this issue, I cant be sure because the guy he was replying to has some kind of locked account so i cant see what he said that they are replying to.

The whole rubbish surround the issues with EAs servers and their quite frankly, stupid idea surrounding the 'always need to be online' issue, has put me off of Origin. It's enough for me to reject Origin-only games in the future.
Sounds excessive, but I have had issues with EAs servers since BFBC2, and to be honest...I'm f@*&ing tired of it.

To be honest, I think this problem has been escalating for a while.

First, it was just poor connection to EA servers only. Then, it was just the odd, random disconnect from server. Then, the disconnection became more frequent and more and more badly timed (lose connection during 8/9 round sound familiar?).
And then, I suddenly find I apparently have no online pass.

Origin is messing with things, the common link to the two most unreliable games EA has released to date is dependency upon Origin.  Common link, EA's "Origin BETA" is messing with my game here, too!

Betafield 3 with its new gametype: Spawn Deathmatch?  I only play it because of my clan.  The common link between the two is Origin. Hint EA: Download manager sucked, Origin sucks harder.

EA needs to drop Origin, its more trouble than it is worth.
