"Origin is currently experiencing issues with the download service. We're aware of this issue, and are working to resolve it as soon as possible. We apologize for the inconvenience. Please try again later."

Just pay for a new online pass already, geez you cheap people - it's only $10!
Actually its $315,184 to be exact.
But even if you have that much money, you still need an online pass to buy the online pass.

I've received word from the live team that work is ongoing and the issue will be fixed during the night (PST). We expect to have this working tomorrow morning (again PST).
I know that these words might sound hollow to you, but I wanted to apologize again.
Thank you.

Origin, no need for Bioware to apologize for that cesspool. EA probably won't let you tell us that it is a problem with Origin, but we are starting to draw the connections. Origin has completely locked me out of BF3 many times, the fact that this is happening with ME3 too is no coincidence.
Thanks for the update!

Origin is just a renamed EADM, easily indentifiable by the version number if you look at it.Major Durza wrote...
Hint EA: Download manager sucked, Origin sucks harder.
EA needs to drop Origin, its more trouble than it is worth.
They just tacked on a few social network features and called it Origin... real ORIGINal !
That is how EA is trying to compete with Valve, it is not going to work. I'm not buying games with a program that ROUTINELY locks me out of them. I'll stick with steam, not EA's new failboat!

If I weren't so lazy, I'd photoshop a pic of Xibit with an EA logo...

We should have a contest on guessing how long the downtime will be after the next operation. Since there's been problems after every single operation that's given out rewards. And they've been getting worse.
Maybe next time we won't even get Tuesday night in between the Monday - early Tuesday and Wed - Fri issues.
I think we're missing the point, the 'reward' was 24 hours of our lives back, being unable to play the game. Unfortunately most of us have squandered this precious gift by sitting staring at this forum and the twitter feed to see when our free time comes to an end.
It's kind of like kids in the playground that do nothing but stare at the clock counting down the free time we have before we have to go back to class and complaining with every minute that passes that we have less and less free time

Origin is the culprit, I don't think anyone can legitimately deny this.

So if am reading this right, you sent this out at 10pm est, so by sometime late tonight or early morning, guessing between 2am-10am est this will be resolved, I hope... as a east coast player.

I'm looking at the admin tool for my clan's BF3 server. 29/64, not a lot of people but that is still quite a few.
Anyone remember those two days in which everyone who logged out of their Origin account was locked out completely?

The Decision(s) was probably made by an EA executive (Origin likely fault); in the corporate world there are no mistakes. Lesser beings may get some overtime out of it, even if they wanted to sleep in.Sjrv wrote...

So, maybe anyone else in Aus can have some fun and ring the only whitepages listing and ruin a techies day. Maybe after the 1000th call they'll... modify their priorities and provide SOME customer service as opposed to NO customer service.
To say that I am less than impressed would be an understatement.

you are looking at probably not before at least 7am PST. which is 10am EST.
Time zones are easy to remember in the US, for the 48 states there are only 4 timezones and the difference in time only changes by one hour.
PST is 3 hours behind you. MST is 2 hours behind you, and CST is 1 hour behind you.
You should have learned this in school, but I'm cool like that so no charge.

How is it what only takes a few minutes to screw up takes 36 hours to fix? Couldn't they just have reverted changes or something? :/Jessica Merizan wrote...

Out of curiosity, I just followed the Purchase Online Pass button on the error page. I wanted to see what would happen (if anything).
I got an error message informing me that I needed an online pass. Apparently an online pass is a prerequisite for purchasing an online pass....
