Same problem since last update. EA live chat will contact me when problem is solved. Still in progress.
I only know that my friend in chile have no problems. mostly here in germany and in UK.

Is one person here, who get help from ea and solved the online pass problem?
maybe he / she can tell us, what is to do, or what ea have done?

would be nice


Third day.... and nothing happens, nothing works, no MP and no single saved game cause of dlc's not found.

Oddly, I still get the same issue and 3 seperate live support agents have told me that the devs are "hard at work" trying to fix it.

Poor Zoltan, Jaideep and Chandra, looks like devs lie to you guys too.

I'm up to 5 seperate agents now, all of whome agree that the problem was never fixed, and that I must wait for a dev to grace the forums with info. The last guy was funny though, when I asked for a refund he said that would be against the artistic integrity of the customer support staff.

Happens alot when a company that is ment to make single player story games decides to attract has many gears of war and cod players that they can

Just got this error now... after asking customer support for an update for commendation packs from Raptor and Exorcist and they "handled" it.

Kinda disappointing. The multiplayer is the only "MMORPG" I could really tolerate because of the presence of gameplay. I can still access SP complete with DLC's but the MP seems to insist I enter an Online Pass that is not needed.

Gonna SP for a while and wait it out, but if I never get to play MP again, I'm gonna be thoroughly heartbroken that I couldn't at least get my hands on an M-99 Sabre.

So I was away from ME3 for two weeks, just got back a couple days ago, and ran into this issue, like, the original issue, with needing to redeem or purchase an online access code. I contacted Live Support, and they gave me a new product code and told me to reinstall, I did that, but still have the same problem. I contacted them again, and they said I need to create a new account, but based on this thread, that seems unlikely. How did this get fixed, and how do I get on board the fix train?

Apparently, after a whole month, this problem still rages on.

I'm not that into the multiplayer of ME3, so after 2 playthroughs of the SP, i stopped playing. As Extended Cut dlc is coming up tomorrow, i wanted to start a new game and play but game tells me to buy an online pass to play.

I've tried rebooting Origin, repairing the install, checking for updates... None of them seems to work. So i've started a live chat session and the guy asked for my email and product key, and did something that seemingly solved the problem. I've played half an hour, closed the game, then opened it after one hour aaaaaaaaaaaaaand, there it is again.

I can't believe it.

I'm still having this problem as well.
I'm not too miffed as i played the Mutliplayer to the brink of my attention span but with the new EC DLC out tomorrow i wanted to get the best possible chance at having a high enough readiness.

But by the looks of it i'll have to bite the bullet and see how it goes.

And did not really answer any questions i had when the game ended like Bioware claimed. And it was still not very informative about the aftermath of the war with the reapers.

This one support guy suggested me to delete temporary files and i can verify that it works.

Follow C/windows/temp and delete everything in it. After that open up run(also you can press windows button and r simultaniously for shortcut), type %temp%, then delete everything as well.

I’ve been emailing support on this issue, and thus far their response has been:
“Thank you for contacting Electronic Arts.

I understand that you are getting error message of "Reedem / Purchase online pass" in the game Mass Effect 3. I know such issues hamper the game really. Let us get this corrected so that you can get back to the game quickly. I have listed some steps for you.

Please follow the steps provided below to repair the game installation:

1. Login to Origin
2. Right click on game icon.
3. Click on “repair install”
4. It will download update of the game.
5. Launch the game it should work.

For any help with the steps above, please do not hesitate to approach us. Electronic Arts values your co-operation and efforts. For more information, please visit our online knowledgebase here: http://help.ea.com/.”


I had already tried this before I contacted EA (it didn’t work – but since I didn’t let EA know I tried this it was an obvious suggestion on their part), I went through a forum search and found someone advising that if you uninstall and then reinstall the game it should take care of this issue.
 
So I uninstalled the game, reinstalled, right clicked on the game, let it update and then pressed repair install and the error hasn’t occurred for me since (though I’ve only logged in once since then so who knows?)
 
Honestly though, after going though the forum posts and other googled topics etc, the best way to fix this one seems to be contact EA directly. So go here: http://help.ea.com/ select Contact Us (it will prompt you to login), Input the Product (Mass Effect 3), Category (Technical Support?) and platform (e.g. PC). Then you can Live Chat or Email.

I’d recommend letting them know everything you’ve done to try to fix the problem, so (unlike me) you don’t get a response with advice that you’ve already tried.

Been getting this error too lately.

Tried repair install as recommended by EA, repair install says everything's fine and dandy and that the game is up to date. Still getting this online pass error.. T_T

Id recommend cave story, if you haven't tried it. Im not sure what system you're on, but it's classic Zelda style gameplay
Edit: Didn't realize post was old, my bad. Id recommend avoiding live chat support for these type of issues. The live chat specialists are underpaid indian tech specialists who will tell you what we've already told you. In this case, id recommend picking up the phone and calling them
