Why does the online pass die if the psnstore is down, and only for some users? Can't even use an invite to bypass.

This would make a great Summers Eve commercial.

So I ran into this problem as well. Could it be related to the recent server outage, or did something else get messed up?


EDIT: seems like the "repair installation" option in origin did the trick. I'm pretty sure it was something on my side.

Just got this error now. I had given up on ME3 a few months ago because of Origin frakking up constantly. Now I've reinstalled and the issue I had previously was gone. Now I get this Online Pass bovine excrement. ARRGGHGHGHL. Ever since then, if I see the EA or Origin logo on a game, I don't even consider buying it. Its getting to the point where Origin is going to be like seeing the LJN logo on an 8bit Nintendo game - ie don't buy, its guaranteed bantha poodoo.

I still can't play until now...still that annoying online pass problem. But I've noticed I have bigger chances of getting through that problem during hours like 2am-3am which is not good because I also need some sleep. hahaha! wait I shouldn't be laughing

Ah crap. I just joined this club. Involuntarily.

Any tips for getting out of it? Restarting the game and Origin, forcing updates and checking for connection issues have all failed.

Seriously, this is really irritating. Between work and other responsibilities, I have perhaps eight hours a week now that are mine to do as I choose. I chose ME3 MP, not 'fill out a support ticket and wait.'

This list seems to just be getting fuller of more and more random folks. I am beggining to think that this may be EA kicking people off the MP severs so they can have other online games in that space.
Opinions on that rather distinct possibility?

all i know is it happens when your trying to connect to the EA server and apparently its been happening for atleast 6 months and it takes twice as long to access the menu

fix the god damn server issues, i cant play because it says i need to redeem or buy a online pass which i have and when i click on redeem it gets an error so fix the bloody server this has been going for a few hours atleast

Wow, JUST WOW. This problem has been going on since May/June.
And they have not fixed it?!?! No more Biojunk after this mess!

Ahoy! I have crashed on the same island of Online Pass error for the PC... EA Support was complete unhelpful at trying to fix it... Joy.

Try freezing every download on Origin, shut down Origin and restart your comp. Thats what fixed my Online Pass problem couple hours ago. Oh and repair install before shutting down Origin too.
