 Here's what I've done today:
  • Quit - Reopen.
  • Shut down Origin - Reopen Origin
  • Restart computer
  • Right-Click Update
  • Right-Click Repair Installation
  • Log out of Origin, Log in to Origin (auto-log in being disabled)
  • Resync Galaxy at War (http://social.biowar...m/n7hq/support/)
  • Change Origin password, log back in.
  • Turning off Online Feedback, restart game, turning back on online feedback, restart game.
  • Completely uninstall the game - Reinstall the game - reinstall all DLC
  • Turn off Firewall
Currently: Running Disk Optimization to clear out Windows Temp files... We'll see if that works.
Next Plan: Uninstall Origin - Reinstall Origin

Still no luck. EA Support has forwarded my case to their "Expert Team" who are said they'll be in touch with me via email in 24-48 hours.

Update: EA Support sent me a new Product Code to redeem - which did fix the issue. I had to reinstall my Collector's Edition version of the game however as the ME3 product code was for the regular version and seemed to supersede my original version.

I am now getting the "Unable to authorize the listed DLC. Please log in to the Alliance Network with the account used to purchase the DLC. Collector's Edition Online Pass Entitlement"" error - but so far I have not seen it limit my game at all. All my old saves (which had to be restored from the cloud) still play OK and multiplayer works with everything as it had been... So if that new extra error is the cost of getting back into MP - so be it.

I haven't had a chance to play since N7 Day Challenge, but when I tried to access MP tonight, I was notified that I needed to re-purchase an online pass. I have tried 8 times and still can't access MP. Why EA/BioWare?

Great. My turn to suffer this nightmare.

Left the game running in the background for a few hours, alt-tabbed back in, it was frozen so I had no choice but to kill the process.

Loaded up the game, "Redeem/Purchase Online Pass"...

Tried all the usual/known steps for remedying the problem but no luck. I realized after attempting to play the game on another machine that it's an issue on EA's side.

Feels like corruption of some data on EA's server.

It's a good thing I took care of Operation Gearhead just before this happened otherwise I'd be pissed.

It could be that all of those who got screwed are actually permabanned and just didn't get the memo yet (or ever will unless they pm/email bioware).

When you get perma-banned your manifest is also reset, as well as your N7 rank, credits and so on.

You can check your N7HQ page and if your stuff is still intact, you're just a victim of poorly coded software... not EA's sadistic need to punish everyone.

I contacted EA Help this past week for my "Online Pass Error" and well here is the transcript, hope it can help some of you who are still error-ed:

You are now ready to chat with Tech Support.

Tech Support:
Thanks for contacting EA Help! My name is Tech Support how may I help you?

you:
My Mass Effect 3 PC N7 Collector's Edition states I need to re-purchase an Online Pass to re-access MP.

Tech Support:
I absolutely got your point.

Tech Support:
Can I have your game code please?

you:
xxxx-xxxx-xxxx-xxxx-xxxx

Tech Support:
thank you for the code.

Tech Support:
Would you mind waiting for a minute or two while I check

you:
sure, I have been waiting since last friday

Tech Support:
Thank you for waiting. I appreciate your patience.

Tech Support:
I apologize that you had to wait longer than expected. I appreciate your time and co-operation.

Tech Support:
Are you getting the error message while launching the game?

you:
No. I start the game and it show "Connecting to EA server'. The game menu loads fine, but when I click on Multiplayer, the screen says "ERROR An online pass is required to access online features of the game"

Tech Support:
Try to put the code and let me know the error message.

you:
there is no error code. the screen just says "ERROR An online pass is required to access online features of the game"

Tech Support:
thank you for the information=.

Tech Support:
Please uninstall your game and let me know.

you:
repairing, uninstalling, re-installing... none of those have worked

Tech Support:
Because I am going to provide you a new code to resolve your issue.

Tech Support:
After un installing the game please let me know

you:
i am not going to un-install my game a second time. it took 7 minutes to un-install it and 12 minutes to re-install it last time. And it did not solve anything.

Tech Support:
Scott, here is the new code for mass effect 3 N7 collector edition

Tech Support:
xxxx-xxxx-xxxx-xxxx-xxxx

Tech Support:
It seems there is something wrong with the code. that is why I told you to uninstall the game.

you:
if i use the new code, will i lose all my online/multiplayer stats and unlocks?

Tech Support:
you are absolutely correct. you will loss your online mutliplayer stats and unlocks. but there is no other way to resolve your issue.

you:
that is not acceptable. I have spent alot of money on all the dlc and a few ingame packs. not to mention my world standings and acheivements

Tech Support:
Let me see if there is any other workaround for you .

Tech Support:
Thank you for waiting. I appreciate your patience.

Tech Support:
Please logout from origin client and let me know

you:
okay I am logged out

Tech Support:
I sincerely apologize for the delay in response.

Tech Support:
Thank you for waiting. I appreciate your patience. Please login to origin client and let me know

you:
I was able to get into multiplayer screen. Thanks!

you:
What was the solution? Because I know of several dozen people who are having the same issue

Tech Support:
Because I have made some change your origin account.

you:
Just that I am curious what the solution actually is, so that I can inform the other ME3 player that have this Online Access error, what they need to know to get their issue corrected

Tech Support:
I have deleted the online access and added the online access again from my end

you:
okay thanks alot!

Tech Support:
Have you download the addons which is listed on your origin account under Mass Effect 3 N7 Collector's Edition?

you:
will i need to reinstall all the dlc?

Tech Support:
Have you download the dlc ever before?

you:
yes i was up to date with ALL dlc content

Tech Support:
at your end ,is it showing any download option

you:
Extended Cut DLC says I need to repurchase it. So I went ahead and clicked the free purchase button

Tech Support:
Great!

Tech Support:
Sounds good .

you:
and now Extended Cut is listed twice on my Origins account

Tech Support:
It seem you have download again the DLC.

Tech Support:
If you face any problem with the DLC you can download it again via origin client

Tech Support:
Thank you for contacting EA. Is there anything else I can help you with today?

you:
No that will be all. Thank you so much for your time. Good bye

Tech Support:
If you need help with anything else, please feel free to contact us anytime!

Tech Support:
Bye and take care.

The chat session has ended. Please contact us again if you need further help.

More likely that they simply freeze your access instead of reset everything. So no, you're wrong about that part. As for sadistic need, that you can judge for yourself.

I'm not talking out of a hat here, I've seen other people's accounts banned this way. Think about it, if Bioware considers those players cheaters, would they want them to remain in the leaderboards, especially if high up? Exactly.

Anyway, the majority of the people on this thread aren't banned but have actual technical issues. Telling them they're banned just sounds like a baseless accusation.

Okay, so they fixed my account now and I can play MP again but they broke "From Ashes" DLC...

I was on hold for 1h 20mins before I could speak to the specialist. Now I have to call them again!

God, is there anything about all this that's straightforward! >:(

This error showed up for me the other day too. Currently talking to EA support and they're being as unhelpful as usual. Pretty much asking me to do all of the troubleshooting steps that I've already done, uninstalling/reinstalling Origin/ME3, deleting registry keys, etc....got the feeling this is going to take a while.

When yall contact EA "help", you need to get EA to delete your online access on their end and then have them re-add it again on their end. After this you will have to reinstall the Extended Cut DLC and also From Ashes DLC will no longer work.

Okay this is getting bloody ridiculous. I’ve been trying to get this issue sorted out and fixed for the past 5 days and I’m nowhere closer to having my game un-fubared than I was 5 days ago. I've also had my case forwarded on to 'senior level support staff for further investigation and better assistance' but haven't heard a peep out of them in the past two days. I've even mentioned the delete online access and then re-add it solution mentioned above.

Just got this error last night, after I installed the new DLC. I can play singleplayer, but multiplayer is completely blocked from me. If getting it fixed means I can't play the From Ashes DLC, that's unacceptable, considering I did shell out the extra cash for the Collector's Edition.

It's also not acceptable to lose all of my progress in multiplayer. I haven't sunk cash into multiplayer, but I've spent a whole lot of time on it, in no small part to get everything that I have now. Not to mention the achievements etc. Granted, it's just game achievements, but if I suddenly don't have any of my equipment/gear anymore, I can't play with my friends because I'll be unable to play anything better than bronze matches until I've gotten good equipment and better characters.

I was told to reinstall, which I haven't done yet because it takes so long to remove and reinstall the game.

Reinstalling does not solve the online pass error. It is just an excuse tech support gives so that they don't have to do their jobs at maintaining a functional game. EA wants us to be "forced" into shelling out additional money to repurchase the game for a new code.

Well they reset my online access and it did bugger all. Still getting the error. I've had my problem forwarded to an expert but they don't know how long it will take to fix. Been nearly 2 weeks though since the error first showed up for me.

Well, they won't help you unless you tell them you've reinstalled. I mean, I could have lied, but there's always the off chance that it would help. So I did it. It took an entire night. Now it's back to tech support.

And I have a full time job, so spending an entire night reinstalling a game means no getting stuff done around the house and no playing any other games what with the computer being tied up. That's six wasted hours.

For those of us using Origin. I talked to a BernadettAnn today in the live chat. She said they -EA- is looking into a permanent fix for this ongoing problem with "a few" Origin users. "a few" being all of us, apparently?
The absolute of all list of things you as a user can do to attempt to fix:
-Repair
-Re-install ME3 (it's okay. Origin just downloads everything you purchased all over and your MP stats/stuff is not affected)(thank you for that BW). Re-installing Origin makes no sense since it only affects this game. Origin also auto updates.
-Network cache flush and reset ( I wasn't aware of this. She gave me instructions which I did and still didn't work)
-UDP Port access. In the EA Games Help section there is a specific Port they mention and to allow it inbound access. Did it and still no change.

I am very, very frustrated and tired. My patience is gone after 5 days of tinkering with this and crossing my fingers. BW and EA need a solution to this really complicated issue. For one of the few things I love to do and do frequently, and for it to suddenly be taken away beyond my control has been rough. I don't want to miss a weekend challenge.

I've done all of the above, as well. None of it helped. You can also add "reinstall Origin" to the list, but that didn't work for me, either.

I miss my friends on multiplayer. I can't talk to them now without disrupting their games.

And this weekend's challenge sounded fun, but I can't join in. Really, all of us who still can't play ought to get a free commendation pack due to the fact that we couldn't participate in the challenge even if we normally do. And I normally do. I think I have all but 2 or 3 of the weekend challenges completed since the game was released.

CaliJoe, you're not the only one tired and frustrated and mine hasn't even been down for as long as yours. But I've had to go to my very stressful job (my job is horrible around this time of year), and then come home and try to tinker with the game to get it to work. And then check email to see if EA has responded to me. And deal with other real life stuff going on. I really just want to play the game and have fun and let myself de-stress, but...I have other games and it's not the end of the world. It's just that I can't talk to those friends while multiplayer is down.

I haven't been able to play the game for more than a week now. I have tried everything I could find here on the BSN orsomewhere els on the internet - I tried updating the game, I tried uninstalling and reinstalling Mass Effect 3 which took hours for all the content to download again .. I contacted the EA support 3 times, but 2 times I didn't get an answer on my e-mails and one time I chatted with a very rude und seemingly incompetent Advisor who said they will "look into it" after he asked me for various proof that I really own the game and then he just closed my case without any further answer or instruction or anything.

To be quite honest .. I am sick of this. I payed good money and not little of it for the Collectors Edition and this is how we, as costumers, are treated? We can't play the games we payed for and nobody is willing to help? Yeah, thanks EA/Bioware and fcuk you too!
