Reluctantly romanced Liara in the first game, but had feelings for Tali'Zorah and was finally able to act on them in the second game and has remained faithful to Miss Vas Normandy. He's always known the score, and has always known there's never an easy way out of any situation.

That's one of the reasons that I felt that this song suited him. Plus I always viewed him as a space cowboy of sorts.

LOVE this band. I remember the first time I heard them, totally blown away. Absolutely love filthy blues/garage rock, it's my favorite genre of music. Have you heard of the Silent Comedy? One of their songs (Bartholomew) was used in the trailer for Dark Souls. Their song All Saints Day is amazing too.

I remember the first time I heard "Whatever Happened to my Rock and Roll", my mind was blown. And yes, I am familiar with the Silent Comedy, just glad that others are as well. You should check out The Black Angels, particularly this song.

My god these guys are phenomenal. I'll definitely start dl'ing them. Btw have you heard of this guy? First heard him in a Captain Morgan's commercial.

Why? Because this is canon shep and I screws up on my first play through of ME 2 do bad, only Tali, Garrus and Legion made it out alive. Lost so many good people.

YES. This is the exact same song I thought of when stepping into the beam. RIP to your Shep too mate. Hopefully the EC will make all of our playthroughs more emotionally gratifying.

@A0170 I particularity like the version used in homeworld, which has an increased tempo by about 50%. Very sad and beautiful at the same time. Believe the OST called it tears of Karen, best listened too while playing the game or watching the cutscene

Ahh I never got to play it. Heard it was amazing though. And I just searched for the song on youtube. Your right, I really like this one. Did they use it for cutscenes, battle sequences, or both?

I edited my post to provide more detail. They only used it once, but it was probably the first time I had an emotional reaction to a game. They play it in the 3rd mission, when you come back your world after testing FTL hyperspace, only to find your world burning, with no one left alive but a few cryo trays with colonists inside. You learn at the end of the mission that your world was destroyed because you violated a 4000 year old treaty not to create FTL engines. As such the game truly begins. Watch the vid your self on YouTube.
