I tried playing ME3 multiplayer tonight.  The game will load up, and get to the point where it checks the EA servers.  Then it just sits there trying to connect.  The game doesn't freeze, nor do I get an error message saying it's unable to connect.  It just...won't connect.

I tried resetting the system, backing out to dashboard, and that sort of thing.  I opened both the victory and commendation packs this evening when they were sent to me, and was able to play fine after I unlocked them.  Then I shut down the game for an hour or two, and when I came back this happened.

Any suggestions on things I could try?

Same thing happening to me since this evening. Only I didn't unlock the victory or commendation packs from this week.

Hmm...the problem may not stem from those packs then. I assumed it had because a bunch of other people were having problems after opening them the other day.

I did buy a spectre pack last night while the servers were messed up (not the premium spectre packs that disappeared though), although for me everything looked fine last night. Don't know if this has anything to do with it.

Same problem here..bet it's related to all the problems pc players are having.

I bought a PSP tonight, but again, it worked fine immediately after that. It was only after I had shut off the machine and brought it back up that the problem started. It was only off for an hour, maybe two.

Ditto. Currently unable to access multiplayer on the Xbox 360, just hangs on Connecting to EA Servers...
Also, I have not redeemed a Commendation pack, so pretty sure that's not the issue here.

Got on today (friday) and i got in. No problems yet, but i didnt get my commendation pack...
