If, hypothetically, the EC turns the endings from the fml car crash train wreck they are now into mountains of pure win, then yes, BW is redeemed.
The case remains highly hypothetical.
If Extended Cut is awsome with a side of epic, is Bioware and Mass Effect redeemed to you?

If.. and I say if the EC somehow salvages ME3, I would be amenable to some DLC...after reading the reviews from my fellow gamers

I'd buy another Bioware game if it came out tomorrow, but I'd be extremely weary. My first Bioware game was the Jade Empire Limited Edition, which I got for my 17th birthday, two weeks after its release. It was worth whatever my sister paid for it. At this time, a lot of people were still playing the heck out of KOTOR, and I eventually got on board. Awesome stuff.
Fast forward through my early college years of Guitar Hero and bargain bin gems, I'd forgotten about Bioware. Shortly after it came out, I was seeing Mass Effect 2 promotion everywhere, so I trade in a bunch of games and decide it looked better than the two or three less expensive games that I would've gotten at the time. Not long thereafter, Dragon Age: Origins was on clearance for $14 at Target, and I loved it so much that I bought the ultimate edition once I finished the game and started with a new character. After that, I decided I really needed to play the first Mass Effect, so I got that. Then I got DA2 at the midnight release of DA2 and even bought the collector's edition guide. Getting Origins for only $14 felt like a steal, but I felt like Bioware made up for the loss with the sequel. Bioware apparently chose the green option to merge Dragon Age and Mass Effect, and it wasn't as good for everyone as they thought it would be.<_< Then I imported my ME1 character into ME2. That was pretty much the exact order of games I played for that time period - all Bioware games, except maybe after DA2 where I started playing Modern Warfare 2 until I started ME2 again.
When Mass Effect 3 came out, and after my debacle with Sears/Kmart (who I pray you never try to do business with), I was so happy. The game is fantastic and for the most part rewarding - Mordin is absolute gold, digging deeper into the Geth/Quarians, the Garrus bromance, etc....up until that dang Starkid. I felt bad when the ship got blasted by the reaper on Earth, was annoyed at the dream sequences but understood their place, then got frustrated when I realized that talking to this kid is that last thing I got to do. The ending CGIs were illogical, and then that stupid kid calling me "The Shepard" was downright insulting, only to be followed up by the "buy DLC!" message. It killed the replay value for me, so I haven't even imported my second Shepard. I know I could and I'd have a good time still, but I'm not ready yet.
Sure, the ending was enough to spoil another playthrough for me (and join the Retake movement), but the rest of the game was absolutely superb. I don't want to ask for anything more than a logical account of the aftermath, which I hope the EC can deliver. I will probably buy DA3 regardless, but if the story doesn't still doesn't connect the dots to what happened in Origins, I'll be fully content with waiting until it's under $15. If Bioware starts a new series, I'm sure it would be good, but I'd probably worry about how the story continues into the next game.

IF people IF is the big word.
And your awnser OP? They'll have my respect. But I won't be fully sold until I see what they do with DA3.

Future business hinged on the attempt to make the EC, whether the EC is good or not determines whether or not I'll pre-order DA3.

The Mass Effect trilogy can be redeemed by Bioware with an exceptional EC DLC, which, if the rest of ME3 is any sign of, Bioware is fully capable of doing.
Bioware itself has a little coming back to do before they get to the point where I will preorder all of it's titles as a matter of course. The repeated let downs of DA2, TOR and the ME3 ending have dropped BW down a notch for sure. But what better place to start a come back than rectifying one of your recent mistakes in the first place...

The EC can be epic like hell, I don't give a damn really. What I want is that it finally makes sense. If it doesn't deliver that, I don't need the EC, Mass Effect or Bioware anymore.

Regardless as to how the EC looks, I'll be more skeptical in buying BW games and will most likely not pre-order. I will purchase DLC for ME3 since I do like the game (incl MP) a lot and I think they'll make this as right as they can. I don't expect to be blown away by the EC, but I expect to be satisfied. At this point, they are probably going to be very careful with this release since they don't want to add fuel to the fire. I have confidence that this is an act of contrition and they don't want to mess up.
Tangent:
People seem to hate space boy because he's come to symbolize the RGB endings. I think if they fill out the current sequence after the beam run with good content (Indoctrination Theory or not) that the ending is salvagable. I won't be one of those who decry the ending can't be saved as is because:
A) I'm not a writer
I'm not a developer or programmer
C) I have no experience in the video game industry.
Thus, who am I to say what is or isn't possible when it comes to reworking or repairing something in a game? Just because I can't see it doesn't make it impossible. It just means I lack either the knowledge, skills or experience (...or ego) to make that assertion with confidence.

Heck, if it's awesome with a side of epic I swear I'll order a hoody to celebrate. If they pull that off then yes, Mass Effect will be redeemed for me. Bioware itself though was never in question for me, I'd have checked out DA3 regardless of ME3. Different teams, different people, etc.

nope it would make me think better of them, but theres still alot of issues in ME3 and what they did with it not to mention the face import bug

If the Extended Cut is that good, then I doubt if I'd go back to my old loyalty to BioWare, but I'd be willing to look at other DLC they want to make for ME3, and willing to look at other games or merchandise they release. And willing to not badmouth them should they come up in conversation.
I think it's doubtful it'll be that good, contradictory BioWare statements aside, but hey.

I am highly skeptical that Bioware will pull this off well. I am open to the EC, and will download it since it will be free. If they defy all my expectations, and is an ending worthy to the franchise, Bioware will have taken a big step in gaining my trust back. I just don't think it's possible since they said it will just "clarify" the ending. If Space Brat is in it, it will be bad.

All you have is trust and reputation... once it is gone and that is ruined...
I do not pre-order games. I normally wait for reviews and price drops. My game library (about 20 games) is mostly games I got online or used at $30 or less. I wait for Gamestop "buy X get X free" deals. I only purchase games I'd never sell and would enjoy playing again over the years.
Bioware had become the exception for me.
Baldur's Gate 2 (and expansion) - Bought near release date(s) [Full Price]
Neverwinter Nights (and expansions) - Bought near release date(s) [Full Price]
KotoR - Bought near release date [Full Price]
Jade Empire - Bought near release date [Full Price]
Dragon Age: Origins - - Bought near release date [Full Price] (then bought Ultimate for PC a year later!) [Full Price]
Bringing Down the Sky - Bought near release date
Mass Effect 2 - Preorder
ME2 DLC - Bought near release date
Mass Effect 3 - Preorder
After hearing about DA2 (never bought it because I didn't get around to pre-ordering; then I heard the reviews) and experiencing an incomplete ME3, I no longer trust Bioware to create the same caliber of game I came to know them for in the past.
I'll probably still play Bioware games but definitely never purchase them new/full price again. I'm very patient. I'll wait a few years

In a manner of speaking; yes .. I'd be happy to give Bioware my money again.
On the other hand, I don't see myself starting to pre-order or trust "professional" reviews again. I think the ME3 ending situation was the straw that broke the camels back and sickened me off from biased gaming journalism and pre-release promises.

BioWare can't be redeemed with the word "sorry" being included in an address to the fans. Ray had the opportunity to do so, but he went with "artistic integrity". I have serious reservation about the extended cut given the lack of a real defense of the ending from BioWare. If all you can come up with is "It's art, screw you!" you know you failed and are too proud to admit it. At this point, I don't even want to waste the space on my hard drive with it unless the consensus on BSN is that it works. I doubt it will.
I'm really amused that EA isn't forcing them to change the ending and then charging for it. I think the bulk of the players would grudgingly pay for a better ending and then actually smile if it delivers. Standing by art isn't really something EA does.

Nope. Only way they can redeem themselves is if they hire Chris Avellone and have him make Torment 2 (or some new IP).

Are there going to be more/different endings or ending DLCs in the future?
No gameplay nor interaction with this new EC at all?
Nope. Sorry. Don't think it's going to work.
- No. BioWare strongly believes in the team’s artistic vision for the
end of this arc of the Mass Effect franchise. The extended cut DLC will
expand on the existing endings, but no further ending DLC is planned.
- BioWare will expanding on the ending to Mass Effect 3 by creating
additional cinematics and epilogue scenes to the existing ending
sequences. The goal of these new scenes is to provide additional clarity
and closure to Mass Effect 3.

Hypothetically ME3 itself would be redeemed, Bioware would still be up a creek without a paddle as that means it sold us a broken/incomplete product that was still rushed out the door and below their previous standards.

I've never actually bought any DLC.
Bioware, if you're actually reading this:
If the EC makes me stop hating the end to ME3, I'll immediately be purchasing From Ashes and all the major ME2 DLC. Book it.
If it doesn't, I'll never buy another bioware game without extensive positive feedback from people I know and trust that have played it. Go ahead and book that too.

The only way I believe they can fix Mass Effect 3 is by creating a 3-6 hour expansion honestly. Short of reworking Priority: Earth, adding Harbinger in and a few other drastic changes (that aren't included in the EC) then it's not going to be fixed.
I have absolutely no interest in any DLC for Mass Effect 3 unless it's an expansion now, and do not plan on buying any of their future games. I'll borrow or rent them. Between SWTOR and ME3 I don't really think Bioware understands their customers anymore.

Long story short, yes it is.
ME 3 was a great game to end a great series. I'm sure everyone wants it to have an equally great ending but corporate doesn't care about the art behind anything, they care about profits. Hell, people are complaining about ME 3s story but its better than 95% of movies that have come out over the last 10 yrs

They did a lot of terrible things in terms of PR, basically saying the fans don't matter in a number of different ways.
