no there were other events in between that you aren't accounting for. Yes you may steal a car, but does stealing the car directly lead to crashing it or did the cat that ran in front of you cause it? ;)

It doesn't matter if the Geth were at peace with organics, synthetics will kill organics.
The car will crash.

Same.

These guys should learn NOT to speak for the rest of the userbase. All they'd have to do is take a look at a userbase Poll

That poll actually accomplishes nothing in determining how much people like the store system for a few reasons.

It does not give people information on what the store system COULD be or if the new one is already created etc. So some people might be reluctant for a complete overhaul.

It is done 2 months after release, when many of the bigger fans/forum users have already accomplished obtaining all weapons and are in the stage of only/mostly receiving character cards. This is relevant because as long as they stop getting the cards, the random system does not affect them to the same degree anymore.  So option 2 is favored.

If you really wanted a poll to show results it should be:

Current Random Unlock System   vs   Normal Purchase Store System......and conducted way back when users were still complaining about the randomness of the packs.

Of course. How convenient- an option that cannot be accomplished and allows your speculation to thrive.

Wow...I guess you never saw those 20 some threads either whining about, polling for, or petitioning for a change in the store system.  Then there are the hundred some threads about getting repeated character cards for characters in which all appearances are maxed and are at lvl 20.

But I guess for you guys, any player who doesn't go on the forums to voice a negative opinion is automatically a "yes, we like it" vote.  How so much like the unions:whistle:.

Not related to that point, just a general question- Why is exploiting this glitch to buy more packs cheating, but buying packs with real money isn't? Both garner rewards for not actually playing the game and both garner rewards with no need for skill or substantial investment of time.

Basically, it is not an intended behavior of our system.

You mentioned that our microtransaction system does not require any substantial investment of time, I think you're wrong. I believe that our microtransaction system allows our fans to spend their real money to build their character in the same way that playing a match would. The only difference is this opens up another avenue to do so. What if someone works 70 hours a week? I don't think they have the same amount of time as a high school student to spend earning credits.

PS3 still can't purchase packs with real cash though.

You must not read your own forums then.  Most people hate it.

How are they being cheated?

Is this seriously a question you're asking?

Potential profit loss. People who would otherwise purchase those products legitimately no longer have a reason to, because they can simply download them for free online. That is cheating those companies out of profit margins.

You can boil that whole statement down to one word.  PROFITS.   They don't care about fair play or anyones feelings.  They care about their bottom line and every action(or lack thereof), statement, and response to the problems with this game drive that point home with alarming force.   If the packs could not be bought with real money this would not even be an issue.  It's sickening that EA/Bio would even consider taking punitive action against customers that are not are NOT EVEN PAYING A SUBSCRIPTION.   It would be stupid and a horrible business model.

Then again, so is selling an incomplete and broken game as a finished, polished product.   LOL at empty threats towards a loyal community of gamers attemting to find value in a game that has essentially lost mainstream appeal.   Ban away guys, let me know how that works out for the future of your franchise.

itt Grenade pretends that common business practices aren't common

As if most online service-providing games don't do exactly all the things you're complaining about, and continue to make thousands of dollars in profits every day. Yeah, I'm sure Bioware is going to regret it. EYEROLLL.

They won't regret it because they are not going to do any sweeping bans.  Out of the MILLIONS of gamers to play ONLINE EA games, they have banned less that 1000 people total in 15 years.   That's less than 1/100 of a percent, so if you think banning will change ANYTHING other than their profit margins you are sorely mistaken.  The statement Mr. Abrams made was a tactic designed to shut guys like you up by making bogus threats to an obscure community.  Brilliant really because all you guys need to hear is "you are right", and they know they do not need to actually take action to get the effect because you obviously believe everything you read.  LOL

They also said that Mass Effect 3 was a complete game ready for release to the public....Guess that's my hangup too, right?  LOL.   Ya you just go ahead walking around thinking big business has your interests in mind.  They are going to need more drones like you to keep this MP franchise from tanking.   Naivete can be contagious "bro" careful you don't spread it any further with your nonsense.

Disagreeing with the same bogus notion over and over again is called CONSISTANCY.    2+2 will always be 4, no matter how many times the uninformed come up with 5.  Consistancy.

First off, you're a crappy acquaintance.
Second, you had to report him for him to get banned. Bioware has no idea how to track people doing this if they have feedback turned off.

Even though a staff member told you otherwise, you should go ahead and keep believing that.

Makes it easier, I'm sure.

How many times does the Bioware staff need to lie about Mass Effect 3 before you stop believing?
I don't personally exploit the glitch, but I know a guy online who has been doing it for a month, almost every day. He still participates in the event weekends and everything. Guess what? Not so much as a warning.

I don't give a damn. It doesn't affect me nor the way I play. The whole store system is some weird crap so I won't blame people for trying to bypass it. If I ever encounter those "cheaters" doing their thing, I'll just leave and find another game/lobby.

M'hmm.

Well, if he does suddenly get banned- which I'm sure you're not worried about- at least Bioware won't tell him that they knew to check the credit gain-over-time of the people that you, specifically, have played with. Wouldn't want him to think you just snitched him out, I mean.

What, they're going to access my online info, check each one of my friend's activity and determine who's been earning too many credits just to find one "cheater"? You're being ridiculous, and frankly if that's what Bioware is doing instead of fixing the plethora of real problems that exist in the MP then they may as well ban me as well.

No sense trying to use reason and logic.  He is obviously an undercover EA drone looking to distort the reality of this situation.  THE GAME IS BROKEN AND IT IS EA AND BIOWARE'S FAULT.   Not the consumer.  Quit trying to villanize honest gamers.

Yeah, because Moderator and Developer are totally the same thing.
