I'll rephrase my OP so even a dwarf can understand.

IDGAF (I don't give af*==) if people cheat, or do anything illegal that doesn't affect me or someone else negatively. Just don't come into an internet forum and act like you can do whatever you want and its ok. No one cares about your rationalizations. Its wrong. Period. End of story.

There you go again trying to force your morals on others. How is this different that your first post?

Me1mN0t I totally agree with you. I suggest not feeding the trolls. They thrive on it and will insist they are right until the very end. Case in point, one of them will come back with something "witty" to say. Just watch.

"Watch me make this strawman argument, friend!"

You don't win arguments by saying the other guy is wrong if they respond.

I have better things to do then listen to you fail to try and degrade me. I don't give a rat's fuzzy rectum about your lop-sided opinions, but I'd appreciate it if you didn't try to indoctrinate everyone else with them.

I was never arguing with you. Honestly, you're giving yourself too much credit. I thought I'd pop into the forums and noticed this soap opera. I was bored. I honestly don't care even a little bit about anything you've said. I could win this argument but I'm too tired to play with kids. I'm sure I can guess your age. Have fun.

I agree with InfamousResult. And everyone that has been saying "you can do it cause it's in the game lolololololololol" that goes back to just because you CAN do something, doesn't mean that you SHOULD. Why is it in the game "months after release"? Because there is no magic fix button. The cause of the glitch needs to be determined (which they will NOT share with us), a fix needs to be created (which requires a lot of time and testing), and then it needs to be distributed.

Should glitch abusers be banned for doing so? Clearly, they are not playing the game as they agreed to play it, so yes, they should be banned and have their genitals smashed. That last part I added because it would be what I'd do if I was in charge at BioWare. Be glad I'm not in charge at BioWare.

just let them mod their acct/save and get every weapon
it just speeds up the cheating if cheating is 'ok'
that also hurts no one right?

I'm done with speaking with you, for all you seemingly know how to do is shoot other people down when they don't agree with you and attempt to degrade those who have any semblance of sense here. My point has been made, and that is all I need to say, not sit here and listen to the ramblings of someone who would rather degrade those who want to actually fix this issue rather than assist in trying to get Bioware to do maintenance work on this, and fix this without causing any huge levels of turmoil. Because in all honesty, I'm sick of your antagonism, InfamousResult. I have made my point, and I shall now leave this thread for ones that don't attempt to be provocational.

Says the guy who obviously has no idea how game design works.   It's about money, simple as that.  If they wanted to they could pour money into it and have it fixed in a day.   Instead, we pay for their budget woes by being stuck with a product that is less than what it was sold to be.  The only "glitchers/abusers" are the as*holes who blame the consumer for their faulty products.

Guy uses his Ford as a getaway car.  It's illegal.  Tell me, just how many people have been banned from buying fords?  LOL at the concept of banning gamers for using a product they bought....

No...not end of story.  This is the problem.  Some people don't care about your rationalizations either.

Some people have had credits eaten by the store.  Origin has stated they have no resolution to this problem.  If someone did a credit glitch to compensate for the eaten credits - would you still feel like it is wrong?  Which is more wrong?  EA stealing credits or Players stealing credits?

As I mentioned in another thread, Snipers utilize the reload glitch all the time....there is a tutorial on it.  That's a glitch that's giving another player an advantage.  Should they be banned?  Isn't that cheating?  If exploiting one glitch is "wrong", then so is exploiting the other hundred of glitches in the game.  People should be screaming about getting the glitches fixed.

Seems everyone BUT EA/Bioware IS screaming for fixes, and that is why after two months this debate is still happening.   This should have been nipped in the bud immediately.  Forever damaged this franchise is...

Actually, I do have a bachelor's degree in computer programming so I kinda do know that fixing a coding problem isn't nearly as easy as you seem to think it is. It might be one line or one operator that's wrong, and changing it could fix the problem, but it could just as easily break several other lines thousands of lines down the line. And keep in mind that this is going to be done by two or three people. If you add more than that, other workers' fixes usually interfere with others and only serve to compound problems.

Throwing money at it is NOT a solution at all. You can give someone a hundred dollars or a million dollars and it won't matter, the problem will still need to be worked out in a way that actually fixes it.

Let me ask you something, InfamousResult. Is it because you are just seemingly Bioware's biggest butt kisser on here, or do you really enjoy being a total a-hole?

Let me go further with that. True, people taking advantage of a glitch may not be the greatest thing for the company, bu the users who do do it enjoy it. I don't participate in it myself, but I will say that the level of zealotry you are displaying towards Bioware is downtight asinine.

I'll be one of the many who admit that there is much that could be improved about ME3: the randomized store, the endless numbers of glitches that everyone complains about, and doesn't do a thing to fix, and that's a taste of only the multiplayer's issues.
I love ME3, and I love the series, but I'll admit the game was rushed. You want an example of a game series that made its fans happy, despite making them wait for as long as was needed to make the games perfect, take a look at Starcraft.

Look, I'm not trying to step on any toes here, but instead of everyone complaining about this one glitch, perhaps we should instead focus on getting it fixed? Hmm?

The amount of money you throw at it ABLOLUTELY determines how effective and quickly a fix comes.   What's faster, one guy building a house, or 20 guys?  That is the point I am making.  This isn't some mom and pop developer employing one guy with a bachelors degree.  They have access to BROAD resources and could easlily have had these issues adressed much sooner than the 2+ months that we have waited for even 1 fix.   As consumers we really shouldn't have to care about what goes into fixing it.  Just get it done or watch the community implode on itself just like it is now.

Your analogy is flawed. From the position you've been taking, it should be:

Ford made a car that can go over the speed limit, ergo it is Ford's fault that people are breaking the speed limit and it is wrong for the police to arrest people who break the speed limit in Ford cars (Bioware made a game that has a glitch that lets your make more credits than intended, ergo it is Bioware's fault that people are glitching the game to make more credits and wrong for the moderators to ban people who glitch the game).

What you just said translates to "Glitcher plays ME3 to make more credits than intended. It's against the rules. Tell me, just ho wmany people have been banned from playing ME3?" That's a strawman.

Now, as a reminder, I'm not going "rah cheaters suck' or  "rah Bioware sucks", I'm just saying that if you want to make an argument, at least make it logically sound.

FYI when you quote someone and then snip the quote, you are not actually quoting.  All I see when I see you do that (and you do it a lot), is that you don't want anyone to see what exactly you are responding too so that when you respond out of context your arguments don't look stupid.

Not related to that point, just a general question- Why is exploiting this glitch to buy more packs cheating, but buying packs with real money isn't? Both garner rewards for not actually playing the game and both garner rewards with no need for skill or substantial investment of time.

Basically, it is not an intended behavior of our system.

You mentioned that our microtransaction system does not require any substantial investment of time, I think you're wrong. I believe that our microtransaction system allows our fans to spend their real money to build their character in the same way that playing a match would. The only difference is this opens up another avenue to do so. What if someone works 70 hours a week? I don't think they have the same amount of time as a high school student to spend earning credits.

This.    Frankly, my time is limited.  I do however enjoy the escapism of playing, and playing multiplayer specifically.  Yes, when you "Cheat" or "Exploit" to gain credits, this hurts players like me (who cannot afford the time it would take to get my character to the point that I enjoy playing).  So yes, for my personal enjoyment I've spent real money on transactions.

I have ABSOLUTELY nothing against players that have spent nothing but credits earned in game.  They've earned it with the time investment, just as much as I've earned my Dollars with time invested in my work.  So similarly, people using exploits to gain a substantial amount of credits, would be like me using a stolen credit card to get the same thing.  Simply not morally acceptable, by any deffinition.

2 cents worth at least.

Wow, really? Building a house and sifting through millions of lines of code to find ONE problem are two completely different things.
