I have mouths to feed and bills to pay. The economy sucks, and thus, is my reasoning for my loathe pertaining to the microtransaction system imposed in EA games. I want to utilize better weapons and characters too. No, I'm not going to exploit to get it, but neither am I going to spend hard earned money for it.
It's a bit unfair that people in my position a expected to cough up money to enjoy the complete extent of multiplayer and obtain the weapons and characters we want to use. I really want a geth infiltrator, but can't spend as much time a others to get it, and I can't afford to buy packs with the hope that the random shop gods will bless me with a gi.
Maybe it wouldn't be such a problem if I could purchase exactly what I want for a higher price tag. At least I would have what I want and not resent EA for condoning me to waste my money for characters that I have already maxed out.
But a for thread oriented, my dilemma still doesn't present a valid excuse to utilize an exploit. thank you for your time and I look forward to your response.

Umm except I don't have the same option to spend some time in the theatre to see the same show. Those 'products" can only be bought, given away or stolen. There is no imaginary credit system that I could utilize to gain those same rewards. NOT THE SAME THING AT ALL. The mechanism to beat the store profits was BUILT INTO THE GAME. No lawyer in the world would make a claim for lost profits, since there is no GUARANTEE that the product will sell for real money.
The packs are FREE. Players have the OPTION of avoiding gameplay altogether by spending real money. How is that not the most exploitave aspect of this entire framework? IT IS>
Are you saying that someone that doesn't want the game actively went out and searched for a pirated copy?
How does that make any sense at all?
Just because I wouldn't pay to have a fridge in my basement doesn't mean I wouldn't accept a free one.
But there's a clear difference between accepting something offered to you for free and taking something for free.
LOL at the idea that glitching for a few extra credits is taking something from anyone. As if credits can only be purchased or something. Ridiculous

Why are people taking it so personally that I feel this way? As I said before,I don't care if people cheat. Just don't come on here and act like you're entitled to cheat because EA screwed your girlfriend or shat on your lawn. Its a black and white issue. If you don't like bioware or ea, then sell your game and move on. I'm sure you could find flaws in any game and use them to rationalize cheating. I however, am not buying it.

Amen. I don't have a job yet, but school definitely has started cutting into gaming time these last few years, with no signs of slowing down, which is why it's agonizing to see games that require such a massive time (or money) investment to enjoy them.hljhodr_sunda wrote...

Yes, I work long hours and have money as opposed to some younger players.... But that doesn't mean I can invest anymore cash into this game than I already have...

How you came to that wildly overblown conclusion is a mystery. Let's do the math on this so called "exploit", shall we? For this example assume FBW/G/G.
round 10 on a gold match takes appx 3-5 minutes, depending on objective. So for the sake of the math let's say it takes 5 minutes per glitched round, including lobby and load times. 10-20k xp and 40k credits per round. That means in one hour, if played straight through with no breaks, a player could fit in about 12 rounds per hour.
That's about 480,000 creditsper hour and about 200k xp
For the sake of time, we will say that a gold match takes about half hour, including lobby and load time. That's 2 per hour. 300-400k xp and 75k credits per round.
That's about 150,000 credits per hour and about 700kxp.
So a gamer can choose to sacrifice xp in place of more credits. To someone interested in promoting, the glitch is actually COUNTERPRODUCTIVE! Moreover, since the leaderboard ranks players by N7, NOT ARSENAL, and the glitch does not rank a person up any faster, what exactly is he exploiting? NOTHING. He is actually progressing through the established MP parameters SLOWER than you. Game Over.

What is he exploiting? A glitch that gives you more credits than you should have. It's counterproductive to someone that cares about xp which glitchers don't care about because they don't care about promoting which is optional within the game's intended parameters while glitching is not. So they're sacrificing something they don't care about for something they do, which is not earning what they get in the end.
