The analagy was exactly how I meant it.  You were attempting to rewrite a post I had already written, assuming you know what I meant, which you obviously did not.  The analagy needed no correcting from you sir.

In which case help me clarify what your analogy meant. From what I understand, your position is that the glitch is a product of Bioware's mistake, and as such Bioware should assume full responsibility of people who choose to exploit this mistake. Is this correct?

Guy uses his Ford as a getaway car.  It's illegal.  Tell me, just how many people have been banned from buying fords?  LOL at the concept of banning gamers for using a product they bought....

Now your analogy, as written, suggests that Bioware is banning all people who play ME3 (the Ford) multiplayer for simply owning the game because there exists a subset that uses their legally purchased game in an unintended manner that is forbidden by the terms of service (overall legality of which I won't defend, but that's a different argument altogether). That is simply untrue.

Now the analogy could make sense if by "Ford" you mean "glitch", which then suggests the glitch was an intentional feature of the game and Bioware is punishing users for simply playing the game as intended. Again, this is simply untrue.

The reason why I'm on your case about this is because making bad arguments in support of an issue can be more damaging than a good argument against the same issue - and I don't think you're doing people's "freedom" to glitch any particular justice by exaggeration (regarding the "FACISM" thing) or the aforementioned unclear analogies.

PAndaman used one of favorite words! Aforementioned! A way speaking about something in regards to previously stated content, yay!

also, he does present a valid point. But don't get upset Grenade! Just didn't see eye to eye even though we are virtually under the same belief that people shouldn't be punished for the glitch issue. Now, I will say IMO that the use of the glitch is wrong. But, BW should fix it and leave the perps alone. Don't suggest they allocate resources to conduct glitcher hunting... I don't understand why some people even think that way... Just fix it and leave it alone! They got enough on their plates already.

It is really not getting old, hearing the whole "they should focus on other things, not banning people".

As if there aren't different people on the Bioware staff handling those two very separate jobs.

If a house is in the middle of development, and some random hoodlum idiots walk in before a door / lock is set up, or the windows, and they spray graffiti all over everything- do you think "well, you shouldn't punish the hoodlums, they shouldn't have been able to get in in the first place"? NO. They shouldn't have went in and graffiti'd everything! That was wrong! They deserve to be punished, whether the door was open or they broke it down.

Difference is that they are still buildig the house and have not tried to sell it as a complete product.  Bioware sold us an incomplete house...

That is irrelevant to the point of whether somebody who does something that is against the rules should be punished, whether or not the opportunity to break the rules was easily presented to them or not.

If you want an analogical response, though- Bioware did not SELL you the house. It is still their house. You have paid them a fee to walk around in the house, but NOT to spray graffiti all over the walls. They can still, and have every right to, punish you if you break the rules while walking around inside THEIR house.

Could not have put it better myself.  The fact that they have taken zero action speaks volumes about their true motives.  They sit on the other end of that EULA knowing the consumer has none of the rights that they should, and they are not accountable.  They are perfect and of course it makes sense that the user should be punished for THEIR mistake.  Makes perfect sense, as apparently EA is incapable of screwing over their customer....LOL

I'm just going to stop you there.

Again.

STOP lying to these forums. They HAVE taken action. THEY'VE said they've banned people, AND multiple users have said that their friends have been banned too. Just because you refuse to believe it, because you're in some hysterical denial and want to believe that you're always right, doesn't mean you should be spreading falsities in threads and making people believe they won't get banned for this.

Just stop.

Saying something and doing something are completely different things.  If I had a nickel for everytime Bioware said they were "working on it", I would have enough money to rank up to number 1 in this game.  Are you really so naive as to believe everything developers tell you?  LOLOLOL

I think you missed the part where I also said "forum users".
I guess it's hard to read with all that denial in your eyes.

I was never arguing with you. Honestly, you're giving yourself too much credit. I thought I'd pop into the forums and noticed this soap opera. I was bored. I honestly don't care even a little bit about anything you've said. I could win this argument but I'm too tired to play with kids. I'm sure I can guess your age. Have fun.

Man, can you guys believe how cool this dude is? I mean, come on, he's obviously so cool that he doesn't even need to defend the stupid stuff he says.

Thats because I have been destoying his broken logic for the last couple of days as he has attemped to flame my posts as well.  It's the defeatist attitude shining through.

Wow this is still going on huh. I wasn't even here to defend myself. Listen, I just have better things to do. I have a life then spend ing it it trying to expose the fallacies in your arguments. I'm just not that interested anyway. Does that make sense or should I rephrase it?

Bah. I thought there would be a guide of some kind, such a fuss over cheaters at sixteen pages in a PVE game. And it isn't even the only thread around.

If you're looking to actually get INTO cheating, fair warning: Bioware staff have said it is a punishable offense.

I suggest against it.

Relax, i was just teasing. I don't have enough time to CHEAT on a videogame i'd rather enjoy playing.

To be fair all this talk about cheating just shows how busy(or lazy, if you prefer) Bioware is. The cheating(which is actually glitching) is their fault for not fixing the leaks in the boat. If there is a way to cheat through the game, someone is bound to use it. It's human nature.

I am relaxed- I am just warning people that it *is* against the rules, so they don't go out and get banned for it.

I think it's faulty logic to call it "human nature"- obviously, not everybody is doing it. And going through this forum, and any threads about this, you can see a great amount of people who know about it, and still choose not to do it. It's not so much "human nature" as "just another facility of some people's personality".

Just like there will always be people to break the law when there is a law to be broken- and just like those people, these people will be punished for that facility of their personality.

I agree that it should be fixed. I do not agree that the fact there are people abusing it is Bioware's fault. That's silly.

It wasn't "censored"- they are already AWARE of the glitch and are looking into how to fix it. A petition wasn't going to give them the magical ability to go any faster, though. It was just another thread about the subject filling up the forum.

I share your viewpoint. I also understand that people love arguing and when there is a problem like this everyone jumps on one bandwagon or the other. But what's the point of a long drawn out argument when we can't(personally) do anything to stop the cheating. We are all aware of the problem, the people who don't read the forums are either cheaters themselves or will never notice the problem at all.

And yeah, human nature was bad wording. Rather "the mindset" of a sizable part of humanity.

And not here to defend yourself? Are you a child? This is a message board. Everything we say will be here when you get back.
