Staff have said that they're on it. There is, unfortunately, no magical wand to wave that will get it done any faster- although I wish there was.

do you really thing banning people will make a difference no it won't at all. So people make a living out of see how many times they can be banned and isn't the solution to anything. Fix the thing there doing is the solution. I personally I don't think they can it because the way they designed the system to migrate when the host leaves. Being the reason why they lowered the exp from wave 10 and gained it on wave 6

It'll stop them.

Either way, not our choice to make. If people don't wanna' get banned, they don't break the rules.

So, exactly what harm is done to the teammates of these players that have done that glitching thing? I see people complaining about it, but generally from a moral standpoint, which seems kinda pointless when it comes to video games really. So, is it merely a moral issue?

"Merely a moral issue".

Yeah, sure. For the players- or at least for me- it is.
For Bioware/EA, it's a financial / legal issue.

Either way. Harm doesn't have to be done to teammates.

it doesnt take 2 months to fix a glitch quit trying to put all the blame on the player

I'm not putting all the blame on the player.

I don't believe that the glitch should have been in the game in the first place- I believe more extensive testing would have caught it. It was a mistake, and it's up to Bioware to fix the mistake. I hope they fix it soon. I've said that. I'm not disputing that.

But that doesn't mean that players shouldn't be punished. They shouldn't have taken advantage of it. They made the choice to abuse the glitch, and that's what makes it punishable. Bioware didn't force the player to do it, did they?

If they didn't want to be punished..

.. dot dot dot ..

.. they shouldn't have broken the rules.

Actually I put all the blame on the players that do cheat. Not every game is perfect, and when a game is a multiplatform release patches are slow to come if they ever come at all, BioWare can't help the patch process. Patches have to be verified and every single time a game is released to the Playstation 3 it takes FOREVER for Sony to verify the patch for release.

Again this is probably a case of them having a patch already in the process of verification only to be slowed down by the molasses that is Sony.

After reading all of these posts about the exploiting, and not seeing anywhere how it affects any players negatively, i am amazed at how bent people get over the subject. Why care if someone is or isn't punished if it doesnt affect you in the slightest negative way? If i get kicked from a lobby becausethey are trying to glitch, then so be it. If they dont like my N7 rank, whooptee-f'n-do! Just move along, or.....create your own match! No need to nerd rage on others for such insignificant. crap.

Not everybody is someone who carefully reads the EA rules, is active on the forums, etc. Believe it or not, there are plenty of people who just buy the game and play it. There are undoubtedly people who have discovered the glitch and aren't aware that they're "cheating", or being given an unfair advantage in a cooperative game. I don't care that some guy mods his profile to have a million gold in Skyrim while I worked hard for mine, why do you care that some guy's weapon has a higher number than yours?

And why is everyone so eager to defend EA's micro-transaction system? It incentivises people to pay for content that they already paid for, and it's an incredibly underhanded business tactic that's barely even affected by the glitch. (why would anyone assume that someone who would try and bypass the system is someone likely to promote it?)

The amount of animosity towards this glitch (both controlled and uncontrolled) is mind-boggling. It's not even a really effective glitch; it shouldn't even double the amount of credits gained, and you still have to play the hardest moment in the entire game repeatedly. People act like people are pushing a button and being dispensed credits by the millions; from what I've seen, you're still playing the game and you're still earning those credits.

This. You know if you're cheating. No matter how you try, you can't justify it.

It's a video game. My guess is that those who "cheat" don't give a crap, because it's just a game. Not real life. Not cheating on your wife. It simply doesn't even merit justification. That's my theory anyways. Which is why all this yapping has struck me as so odd. I thought maybe people were actually getting screwed over by glitchers somehow. Yet, it is impossible in this system to hurt your teammates by doing it.

Are you cheating? Is the fact that I care affecting you..?

Obviously, not being aware of a law doesn't mean you can break it- not being aware of a rule doesn't mean you can break it, either. Exploiting bugs has always been a known form of cheating in the gaming community- that isn't some new revelation, and there's no industry-wide system for "well, it's this kid's first game- he probably doesn't know that it isn't against the rules, so let's cut him some slack". EVERYBODY understood it was a bug- everybody understood that they had to do something very specific to exploit it, and they understood that it wasn't an intended function. It's common sense. You don't have to read the forums to understand it- and if you didn't read the ToS, that's still your own fault, whether it's the norm or not. You agreed to them.

Whether I agree with the micro-transaction system or not is not relevant. Whether YOU agree with it is not relevant. The online service is provided by them, and they gave us rules for using it; nobody here is "fighting the system" or "fighting the rules". They're just breaking them- which is not the customer's right. You can say "I paid for this game, I'll play it how I want"- but what you PAID for was a game defined by EA/Bioware's RULES. You paid for the service, including what came with it- the rules you agreed to. You didn't buy the service itself. You don't own the service. They do. You're playing on their servers.

Arguing that the glitch "isn't effective" because you 'still have to play" is what's mind-boggling. You repeat that same thing every time I see you post in these threads, but I figured you'd know better by now- it's still much easier and much faster than playing through an entire Gold Match, or else people wouldn't be doing it in the first place. Everybody knows it. If it wasn't circumventing the system in some way, they might as well have played through all 10 waves like everybody else. But it does, so they're cheating.

You want to argue if it's fair or not- go argue with a member of the staff about it. But as long as it's against the rules, you can bet I'm going to report people for it.

Short answer: Yes.

Obviously, you're just ignoring EVERYTHING ELSE I say, so yes, I am a bad guy. I hate seeing people have fun. It really ruffles my jimmies. You pinned the nail on the head. Congratulations. You can stop posting now, because you are super sleuth #1.

I'm not going to get bent out of shape over cheaters, but if you cheat, and you get screwed over by BioWare, chances are you're getting what you deserved. Hey, people should know better. Doesn't bother me, but it obviously bothers a lot of people.
