I'm not sure, but that is why I proposed them to say the # of people who got banned or at least acknowledge it.
If they have already, I don't remember seeing it.

People have been reporting that their friends have been banned for credit glitching- I'm not sure if being banned from ME3 Multiplayer ALSO means that you're banned from the forums, since it's a prerequisite for being able to post here. The Protheans wrote...

But the Staff have said that they're banning players for this as well- so you definitely shouldn't encourage people to break the rules by telling them that bans are "empty threats".
So let me get this straight. The Protheans wrote...
I suppose you're right, I AFK like a motherf**ker anyway.
You tell people to "mind their own business" when it comes to credit glitchers, since it "doesn't affect them"-
even though you're not minding your own business by telling them that in the first place, since you say you don't glitch-
and to top it all off, you DO actually do something that the community considers cheating and DOES affect players.
Amusing.

I already made it clear.
I will mind your business if you mind my business.
I use the resources available to me that Bioware put into the game.

Not everybody understood how to recreate it. It's entirely possible forInfamousResult wrote...
Obviously, not being aware of a law doesn't mean you can break it- not being aware of a rule doesn't mean you can break it, either. Exploiting bugs has always been a known form of cheating in the gaming community- that isn't some new revelation, and there's no industry-wide system for "well, it's this kid's first game- he probably doesn't know that it isn't against the rules, so let's cut him some slack". EVERYBODY understood it was a bug- everybody understood that they had to do something very specific to exploit it, and they understood that it wasn't an intended function. It's common sense. You don't have to read the forums to understand it- and if you didn't read the ToS, that's still your own fault, whether it's the norm or not. You agreed to them.
someone to have joined a lobby and played a game or two before realizing
that what he was "exploiting the game." This
could have happened more than once. If there's even a remote chance of
banning an innocent player, then I can't imagine it being justifiable.
There are plenty of people here who openly object to EA's system. They're not providing a free service for us, we're paying money for it.Whether I agree with the micro-transaction system or not is not relevant. Whether YOU agree with it is not relevant. The online service is provided by them, and they gave us rules for using it; nobody here is "fighting the system" or "fighting the rules". They're just breaking them- which is not the customer's right. You can say "I paid for this game, I'll play it how I want"- but what you PAID for was a game defined by EA/Bioware's RULES. You paid for the service, including what came with it- the rules you agreed to. You didn't buy the service itself. You don't own the service. They do. You're playing on their servers.
Saying that the customer has no say and no right to object to the
quality of service being provided is mind boggling within itself. Could
you imagine if a company tried to enforce how people use a physical
product, even if it resulted in a superior one that they would otherwise
have to pay for? People would go absolutely crazy.
I barely see it as an exploit.Arguing that the glitch "isn't effective" because you 'still have to play" is what's mind-boggling. You repeat that same thing every time I see you post in these threads, but I figured you'd know better by now- it's still much easier and much faster than playing through an entire Gold Match, or else people wouldn't be doing it in the first place. Everybody knows it. If it wasn't circumventing the system in some way, they might as well have played through all 10 waves like everybody else. But it does, so they're cheating.
Anything you agree to is forced upon you when you play the game; there's
no warning on the box or anything about the limitations you have in a
game where "...how you wage wage war is entirely up to you." You know
why? Because that would negatively impact sales.
I have never, at any point, had any plans on buying EA's shortsighted
attempt to squeeze money out of their customers. You can't sugar-coat it
as an "option for people with a limited time schedule who want to get
the most out of the game"; it tries to charge us for content that we
already bought, plain and simple. And besides, I doubt that a worthy
portion of the people who would go through the effort to set up the
exploit are people willing to pay money for the content anyways.
And about its effectiveness; any way to play the game that's even
slightly faster than the alternative would get abused (as seen by the
Geth/FBW setup). It's not a significant amount faster, it's probably got
to be one of the most mild exploits I've ever seen. (yet somehow the
one with the most allergic reaction I've ever seen to it)
If you want to report people for doing something that has such a neglible effect on your game that if you didn't know about the glitch, you wouldn't even be unhappy in the slightest, go ahead. You're obviously getting some kind of natural high off your white-knight crusade, so run along and do your thing. You want to argue if it's fair or not- go argue with a member of the staff about it. But as long as it's against the rules, you can bet I'm going to report people for it.
And why would I argue with a staff member about it? They are literally being paid to ostracize people who don't play the game the way that they intended, and ban people who admit to it. Getting anywhere with them would be like convincing a starving homeless man to give me his sandwich.

They only ban in the case of massive credit gain. In the cases of one or two games where somebody accidentally stumbled into it, they're only going to revoke the cheated credits. Banning "innocent players" is a moot point.Impulse and Compulse wrote...

I didn't say it was free. I said it was their service. And people are QUITE allowed to object to it- I didn't say they couldn't. But breaking the rules still isn't allowed, and just because you object to the service doesn't give you the right to break the service's rules- sorry. Objecting and Violating are not the same thing. Moot point. There are plenty of people here who openly object to EA's system. They're not providing a free service for us, we're paying money for it.

You may continue to argue with me over this point, which if you did not know about, wouldn't have even made you unhappy in the slightest. So, go ahead and keep doing that too, if you want.

Naw bro, the only way to post on the Multiplayer forum is to have a new EA Account, and link it up with your copy of Mass Effect 3- and you can only link a game to an account once. He would have to get another copy of the game to use the forums again.
