Why is this allowed?? I have recieved numerous messages from people like AKS II Recon stating, that the premium spectre pack is back, and they need credits, and this person is wanting people to do a glitch with them for an easy 30-45k credits every 5 minutes!! I feel that Bioware needs to crack down on the players doing this kind of stuff, because after all, it is just a video game, and is supposed to be for entertainment purposes right!! So why cheat?  Start banning these morons please Bioware!!

  ~~ Always play legit ~~

if anyone else knows anyone who is cheating or glitching or hacking, feel free to post their gamertag here :-) let's all work together to stop this childish behavior!!

And then they staple them to the eyes of those they snitched upon.

No. Shut up, stop telling people this.
Read the Terms of Service before you open your mouth.

11. Rules of Conduct

You may violate the Terms of Service if, as determined by EA in its sole discretion, you:
- Abuse or exploit bugs, undocumented features, design errors or problems in the game.

Seriously, guys. They broke the rules. These are the rules of the service- whether the cheaters affect us or not, they broke a binding contract with the service provider. EA/Bioware has every right to ban a player who cheats, and users have every right to report them if they think it's wrong. You guys are the ones who need to get over it.

I have yet to hear about anything being done about any sort of cheating, so I would say just ignore it like bioware does.

There you go... offering sensible and sound advice.  Some folks here just will not see it as such no matter how clearly and explicitly the rules are spelled out.

Totally in agreement with the advice though.  +1

It is a video game and it is supposed to be for entertainment.

Who are you to dictate how other people enjoy their game?

My life view is that anything is OK as long as it does not negatively effect anyone else. This falls into that category.

To those that do not see the consequences of this, or why it's wrong - and why others should care - think on this.

When you decide you can justify something because you feel you deserve it, or maybe your entitled to it, and you believe it is victimiless - you are metaphorically altering your moral compass - instead of one point, or line, you broaden it - so that mroe actions become acceptable. It does not mean you are going to become a super villan, but it does mean that your more likely to do it again, and over time, as you rack up lots of benefits for no consequences, your more likely to push it a little further.

Gamers hate it when people call us 'entitled' that is because there is an ounce of truth in it. If you decide to exploit a glitch - you have, at the very least subconciously decided that your entitled to whatever benefits exploit gives you. Or you suffer from the idea that because you can, you should.

So essentially, it's people who feel they are more special than everyone else and because they can they should. This historically has never led to anything good.

Heres a real world example. Software Piracy. It's victimless because the companies still make loads of cash right? Really? the DRM that has ME3 offline right now was designed to combat piracy. Is it hurting the pirates right now? Is it hurting you?

The funny thing about this is, as written, it explicitly allows you to violate the terms of service if EA determines that you've been abusing/exploiting bugs, 'undocumented features', design errors, etc.

"You may violate the terms of service' = 'You're allowed to violate the terms of service.'

It really should be rephrased. "You may" has a specific meaning and intent in legal contracts, and is usually a sign of permission.

Nice try. Fluent legalize speakers know the meaning of that phrasing and would shoot you down in seconds if that was your one and only crutch for justification. You can pretend that you beat them at their own legal game on a forum if it makes you feel heroic.

I'm sure "you may" in this instance actually means "you have probably". They should rephrase it, but only a dunce would ACTUALLY believe that's what it means.

The simple fact is if ti's against the rules, it's bannable and that's all there is to it. Arguing that there is some moral imperative against cheating is, honestly, flimsy at best since that's a slippery slope of trying to define which morality is "right".

Using piracy as an example of the "harm" of cheating seems awfully close to a strawman, doesn't it?

Probably someone meant to write "you might" or "you may have."

Yes, that certainly IS their job.

However, it doesn't give players the right to abuse the glitch. They're still breaking a rule if they do.
