Fable 3's combat animation and a slow motion are beautiful I think,I do notwant a Skyrim's combat in DA3.
Fable 3's Fighting in slow motion is so beautiful.
Fable 3's combat speed is suitable,Assassin's Creed's combat speed is a little slow I think.
Of course do not look at Fable 3's write and story.
DA3's city needs more lively, there Must be The dynamic weather system.

That's all I think.
Of course add a Riding dragon fights system better. Image IPB

I enjoy what weather changes and day night cycles add to my experience in a game. It would be cool if DA3 had something like that.

The slow motions stuff you mentioned isn't really something I'm enthusiastic about in either Skyrim or Fable 3. I think the combat in DA2 was just fine without the slow motion.

I could deal with that. Would be a very radical change though.

Had to look up a description of Amular, since I have not played it.

"Combat is based on the timing of button presses, similar to an action RPG, with occasional quick timecutscenes like those in the God of War series. "

Sorry, but no thanks.  There are more action games than I can count out there for people to choose from, and noone is telling them to change.  But since there are so few games left that allow strategic and tactical battles, I wish people would quit trying to make Bioware fantasy rpg's to be clones of everything else available.

Not every game can be everything, for everyone.  Trying to turn Bioware's games into hybrids, will only weaken them.  They stand out because they do offer a contrasting style of gameplay to what can be found en masse on the market.  If they become like everyone else, what will be the reason for consumers to choose their games to buy?

The 'quick time cutscene' is a player-initiated combat move that has you rapidly clicking the spacebar. You can't even fail it.

There's not much of a difference between the two.

The quick time cutscene thing is like a finisher for extra XP you initiate fate shift and then hammer which ever button pops up. Do it well and you can get double XP for everything unraveled. It's nothing at all like GoW.

It would work fine for me since I mostly play in real time by optimising the AI rather than click-pause-click-pause.

That is exactly the type of game I try to avoid buying.  Its great for those that like that style, I just do not wish to see every computer game turned into that.  For those that like games that require skill in pressing buttons in the right order, and the right speed, there are plenty of options out there, without turning Bioware fantasy rpgs into that as well.

I rather liked it. But then my gaming is very eclectic, from CoD to Fire Emblem.

If I wanted Fable 3 content, I'd play Fable 3.

If every game out there copied each others combat, then there would be no challenge.

Really, I like most Bioware games combat animation, just not DA2's.

Jade Empire is one I'd highlight. Not really appropriate for Dragon Age stylistically or mechanically, but it manages to be exciting and over the top while still having enough basis in how people actually move.

Bioware, DONT look Fable 3 at all! Its a horrible game! Very bad story, and with a stupid ending (well, not as bad as the Mass Effect 3 endings)

Hey Molyneaux just left Lionhead... maybe he's moving to EA/Bioware?

...at which point, I will gouge out my eyes and cry tears of blood.

Want good combat?

Look no further than DARK SOULS.

Every game involving swords should be like it.

I'd like to play in real-time by having everyone's action bars up on the screen at the same time so I can give commands to people without switching to their perspective, having to pause because now I'm disoriented and I can't remember which icon is Taunt anyway, reorient, wait for the tooltip to pop so I can see that oh, yes, THAT one is taunt, click on it, unpause, only to have the tank . . . not taunt, because they were in the middle of something else they HAVE to finish first, pause, reposition the tank, hit taunt again, unpause, watch my mage drop to 10% health due to the delay, sigh, pause again, run my mage the hell out of there with a horde of mobs chasing him/her, only to NOW have the tank FINALLY taunt when all the mobs are OUT OF RANGE . . .

The animations in general could stand improvement, yah, but as far as gameplay goes I consider that to be low, low priority.

If you want good animation, then make Dragon Age 3... on Frostbite 2. Do it BioWare.

I think Demon's Souls and Dark Souls have some realistic, combat animations that other developers could try to incorporate or build from. I love how the combat in Demon's Souls/Dark Souls makes you feel the weight of each swing, block, parry, and dodge (excluding the effect of the Dark Wood Grain Ring), and I also enjoy the various types of spell casting animations.

i'd love it if DA3 tried something similar to amalur in terms of gameplay.

when i played it, it felt like what DA2's battle gameplay should have been where as amalur lacked in the plot presentation and character development which is bioware's strength.

*imagining a party based combat system with a control scheme similar to amalur*
