Seriously.  Upon being told I couldn't play my SP saved games with DLC or play MP without shelling out more money, I got mad.  I only wish I could get a refund on the Bioware points I bought.

Oh, yes, they'll fix it and there's workarounds to the SP issue - but I'm drawing the line in the sand.

I don't want workarounds.  If you want DRM in your game it cannot affect me, a (former) legitimately paying customer.

I won' t be able to reply to your comments.  I'm sure a lot of them will be snark.  However, I am removing the game from my system since I no longer own it - and removing the registration from my account here.

Good luck to you all.

I don't blame you. If i hadn't spent money on BioWare points I'd be doing the same thing.

Good point. Seriously bioware if you read this, can you just damn to hell this DLC DRM. It is only creating hate for your brand. At best it is deflected to EA. At worst you all lose money and respect from the people who used to be avid fans.

The funny part is that this kind of DRM isn't even effective against piracy in any kind of way :)

well the DRM at least keeps everyone out of MP even the customers.

Good work. This is the only message EA/Bioware will understand. I'm currently trying to do the same thing.

Still don't get how this is a DRM issue.

There's a bad string reference on the 'Redeem online pass' page, so it's more likely to be a bug. A crippling one, but nothing to do with cash.

Yep, but it punishes paying customers.

So awesome.

If the issue isn't fixed by the time I wake up (about 8 hours from now) I'll be doing the same.

It is utterly astounding Bioware have had nearly two whole months to sort this crap out and if anything it is getting WORSE not better. Live Support is worse then useless on the issue, seem to somehow have no knowledge of the problem and barely even seem to understand basic English.

Regardless of the outcome, Bioware are doing an amazing job assuring this is the last title I buy bearing their name. I don't think I have seen an AAA title this completely broken for nearly a decade.

Didn't know I can still get a refund, seems fishy but I'll try if this crap isn't fixed.

Funny.... I actually got my hopes up thinking there was a fix. This is kind of like a runner killing him/herself when they break a leg to take the pain away,
===========
Same here... cant log in or access the DLC. Multiplayer and single player are shot,,,, there is no estimated time of repair and the issue has been going on for over 14 hours.

Collectors edition N7
From the Ashes installed
Multiplayer Resurgence installed
Both Single Player and Multiplayer are not working. Need pass code?

Offlineing Origin lets you play SP with all the DLC but frankly, who replays SP anyways?

Skyrims sdk is pretty much avilable to anyone. It's a lame excuse, but atleast you get alot of neat community made fixes and changes..

Also, might aswell just pirate or w/e after you bought the game if you want to be able to play SP in peace. It's alot less hassle apperantly..

 *shrug*

I guess I'm just sanguine about this...Not worth it to get mad/flustered when there are more important things in life...

As an aside, I think I know what happened...

If you go by jessica's post as to what caused the issue (the commendation packs), I'm guessing that to combat the problem of the previous operations (where there was a glitch where people could get multiple commendation packs by logging in/out of origi)n, they tied the commendation pack to your origin ID.

Obviously something broke...

Skyrim never randomly decided I have no rights to play the game anymore with a responce from Bethesda being "Umm...We are working on a fix that will come out sometime between now and the Rapture. Maybe".

if your looking for single player and assuming your DLC was active before this mess, on PC anyways(if you have origin), log in with offline mode. and don't connect to the EA servers =\\ worked for me/a few friends. had no problem checking it at all..
