Warden's keep is downloaded, it shows up on the installed content list but still says "Unauthorized".
Under your registered game promotions it's showing up as me having got Warden's keep, so why is it still showing as unauthorized.
please don't link me to yet another post that I've already read which is sometimes too confusing, can someone just say simply why this is occuring. Is there a corruption in the game files somewhere? Are the game servers where you get the content not recognising it, i just want to play the game I've paid for along with extra content >.<
Shale is still bugged, can't play warden's keep, WTB a fix -.-
This is a relatively new build that has no crapware that comes from prebuilt machines you buy from say your local PC World that could interfere or clash.

I had the same problem and fixed it by-
1 Clicking on Start- Run and typing in Services.msc
2 Finding the Dragon Age Origins updater service in the list and setting it to 'Automatic'
Also, playing the game while logged out of my on line profile worked as well with regards to the DLC.

WOOHOO an actual response
not just a link to another post which tbh just confused me further.
I've played logged out before I decided to get the Warden's Keep and it worked fine n dandy, but it won't let me do that with this one, doesn't recognise it as being authorised even when offline and when my profile says as me having it.

Might be worth seeing if the service is running in-game then, and if it isn't making sure it's set to Automatic.

Okay I've set it to automatic, but its still giving me the problem of being unauthorized

It's definitely running as well (Alt- Tab out of the game, then press Ctl-Alt-Del to bring up the Task Manager)? If it isn't, then run Services.msc again and start it. If it is, then I'm sorry, I'm out of suggestions.
Edit- it's called daupdatersvc.service.exe, by the way.

Yeah, it's not there. Quit the game, go back into Services.msc and start the Dragon Age: Origins - Content Updater service, then restart the game.

Downloaded my version of DAO from Direct2Drive, not steam.
I'll have a look around and hopefully wait on suggestions that could help rectify this.
Is there a way to reinstall the updater to a specific location so it would be recognised and would always run? As it sounds as if the Updater isn't there? But is if you get what I mean

The DRM service isn't installed or isn't installed correctly. This is why you cannot authorize your DLC. You may try steps documented in the sticky that you mentioned - the one you refer to when you wrote about providing links that confused you.
Redeemed DLC Unofficial Troubleshooting and FAQ (PC Only)
http://social.biowar...x/81613/1#81613
In particular, try section 3.2.4 which provides instructions on manually uninstalling and reinstalling the service.
As a note, uninstalling the whole game will almost certainly fail to completely uninstall the service, and reinstalling will almost certainly fail because it will see just enough components of that service to think it's properly installed. At least that was my experience with this issue.
As a second note, even though I have the service set to automatically start - it will only automatically start for me once after each reboot. The 2nd and subsequent game sessions between reboots fail to restart the service. In this case, I have to start the service manually prior to running DA or by alt+tabbing out to start the service if I forget to do so. Intrusive and inconvenient DRM sucks. If I pirated the game, I wouldn't have these issues.
Your other error - the one you say is new and has to do with online profiles - isn't new to the community. It has little or nothing to do with DLC authorization though and (I assume) it has to do with why character profile data fails to upload to this website. I have seen that error and was still able to authorize DLC. But my character profile on this site is very out-of-date.

also how do you "Navigate" to where it states

My instructions are for Win 7. One way to run cmd as admin is to right-click the shortcut for the command prompt in your Start menu
Start button | All Programs | Accessories | Command Prompt
Right-click that shortcut and select Run As Administrator.
Vista is similar, as is XP, though I don't run those currently so cannot state categorically if the location of the command prompt shortcut is in exactly the same place.
[P.S. forum posting delays suck when you try to edit an existing post. I have no idea if/when the edits will show up for you.]
Edited to add: You can navigate to the folder locations mentioned by following the steps mentioned in section 3.2.4. That's what those "cd" commands are (cd stands for Change Directory)
cd..
cd Microsoft.NET
cd Framework
cd v2.0.50727
Start button | All Programs | Accessories | Command Prompt
Right-click that shortcut and select Run As Administrator.

My forum posts are taking too long to show up when I edit them. I'm stepping away for a few minutes to let the updated info about navigating directories to catch up. If the instructions given don't help you, then yes go ahead and post the path to where stuff is, and I'll give you the commands with your path - though tbh you should be able to use the "CD" command mentioned in 3.2.4 to get to where you need to be.

Just a quick question. I assume your starting the game via the desktop icon. Select that icon and than select CONFIGURE. On the left side, select REPAIR. Select Add Firewall Exception.
You also may want to CLEAR Your Download Cache.
Good Luck!

Creighton: "CD" refers to a command line command. No one is talking about compact discs. "CD" means "Change Directory". You type it at the command prompt with the folder name you want to change to. You need to uninstall the service. Then reinstall it. To do so, you must run some commands at the command prompt, along with file/folder names so that those commands know what you're talking about. So at the command prompt, practice changing directories using the CD command.
As in:
cd..
That will change the directory (folder) of your command prompt to the parent folder of the one you're currently in. It's like going "up" the folder tree.
cd\\
Goes to the root of the current drive.
F:
goes to your f drive.
c:
goes to your c: drive.
Do these commands to go to one of the folder locations that section 3.2.4 needs you to go to:
cd..
cd Microsoft.NET
cd Framework
cd v2.0.50727
Press enter at the end of each line.
