You need to look up the definition of "balance," as it pertains to game design, specifically. Being able to deal effectively infinite damage while never exposing yourself to danger isn't "balanced." Where do you get the idea that being able to beat a game without exploits means the presence of exploits is meaningless? Redefining words, now, are we?
It matters because a sizable number of paying customers think that exploits like this make for a worse experience. Bioware is trying to expand their customer base, right?
Well, that's good because this "exploit" does none of those things.
Consider:
A) Flasks are on a cooldownFlasks are mostly finite, and due to A you cannot repeatedly "spam" one type of flask
C) Monsters regenerate out of combat as players do
D) The rest of your party must engage said monsters to put them in combat status
E) Monsters move towards the direction of the attack even if you are not immediately detected increasing their chance to detect you
I looked at this the last time someone complained about this "exploit" and it was beyond stupid. If you really care to do this then quite frankly by all means I do not see why you shouldn't be able to. It will either cost you far too much time or a ridiculous amount of gold to accomplish anything in the game like this.
Thank you. The monster out of combat regen breaks any chance you have of taking down an entire mob with no retaliation. At most it makes a nice opener or for a silly rogue who is stealth bombing in combat instead of stabbing.

Play on nightmare with no mages. It's actually fun

Was wondering that myself.Skellimancer wrote...

In any case, I personally love quirks in games like this "bug." In an mmo I can see a problem, but in a single player? Just have fun with it, see what crazy stuff you can come up with.

It's one thing to request that they balance out the effects of abilities and sustainables, it's another to have them fix a player controlled tactic. Just don't use the tactic if you think it's unfair. Or find a mod. (Pellegrin's Balance Mod does increase the chance of being revealed when using bombs/traps from stealth)

Although you can avoid to use this exploit (and I personally do) broken game mechanics are never good. While I do agree that it need not be high on a priority list of fixes it should eventually be corrected. Why should I have to manually break stealth when I throw a bomb when the game should handle that for me? We want this game to be as good as it can be right? I can't imagine bombing from stealth is "working as intended".

This.
Don't like a tactic? Don't use it. Game is not unbalanced, players are unbalanced.
