Compensation for time loss suggestions

The down time can be described by EA PR as a way to create controversy and open interpretation on why the down time occurred in the first place. EA cannot improve their service because they don't want to violate their Artistic Integrity.

Free dlc would of course be better, but I really doubt that'll happen. Especially since there already is free dlc on the way and we got the mp one too. Then again I do hope all mp dlc will stay free...

If you just can't play Multiplayer right now, then stop whining and suck it up. You deserve nothing. Mass Effect is a CAMPAIGN based game, not Multi, it's just a bonus that can and will be down from time to time
It can be integral to the single player outcome. Saying it's a bonus is somewhat erroneous. People can vent all they like since they paid for it. Who are you tell an entire group of people they are whiners? Nobody. Just as we all figured. Why don't you take your own advice, STFU, and stop whining about something that bothers you - other peoples opinions.

If it's included in the game, its PART OF THE game. Multiplayer is probably more deservant of compensation than singleplayer since it involves ACTUAL MONEY. Some people spend a lot of it on packs.
But spending real money is optional, and to be honest multiplayer isn't being wiped, it's just unavailable for those people. Their $bought content will still be there when they get back, or at least should be.
Think of it this way: If Battlefield 3's multiplayer goes down, they deserve to be in uproar. If the Campaign crashes, then really they just gotta deal with it until it comes back up.
ME3 should be the opposite, Campaign needs to always be up and Multiplayer can be spotty. It's not the major focus, you shouldn't have this game just to play Multi. It's not ideal, yes, but Multiplayer is just an extra. Campaign IS Mass Effect if that won't work then you've wasted the $ you spent buying the game.

An early event would be funny, actually. Given the hillarious events that went down due to operation Excorsist....fallingseraph wrote...
I'm pushing personally for an extension on PSPs, maybe another event this weekend, bonus packs.

Extra credits for a week would be nice. And a "Oops, sorry." for the sp part.

While I don't think there needs to be any compensation (no one lost anything really, unlike PS3 owners who lost subscriptions and that was months of down time), there should definitely be an apology. It's such a little thing that would have a great effect on the community. Heck, a "sorry" is what many of us want for the campaign, but will never get it because we apparently can't understand things we were not meant to understand.
If...and a big if...they do compensate, it should be a decent amount of credits, probably the amount for one gold game so people can choose what they can purchase, or have a good amount saved to put toward the Premium Pack. DLC takes resources, among them time and money, to produce, and eventually they'll need to start charging to satisfy their stock holders. As long as the price is reasonable for the content provided, that won't be an issue. So long as the multiplayer is operational at that point. But give out free DLC for a few issues, at this point, no. Now, if it's down for a week+...depends on what the content is. If it starts hitting the month line, then there **** well better be something lined up for us at the end of the tunnel with no charge.

This is a AAA title that cost money, like Guildwars, upfront to be able to play MP.
No compensation is not AAA behavior.

At least people are still interested in this game even after all this.

I see there's also a "Gift Pack". It contained 300k credits, which although being less than half of the amount of credits I've lost to the store bug is a nice touch.

Had to contact Origin support to get the Commendation Pack though. N7 Eagle, thankfully not a Crusader III.

EA doesn't have the word compensation in their vocabulary.
I can assure you that EA's CEO Riccitiello has the word compensation in his vocabulary. He pocketed $5 million in the Bioware/Pandemic deal while he was the CEO and a founder of the company that sold Bioware, Elevation Partners.

I think something else may be the cause since I too am on N7 Collector's Edition, PC.
Before I ran ME3, I logged out of Origin and back in again... not sure if that helped.
