Honestly? This is irritating, and inconveniencing, to the customers who have, up until this point, returned multiple times and bought multiple products. A free "pack" to all people who have been shut off (or everyone, just to give out goodwill) would probably cut it (esp. with good content) but this is just IRRITATING, if we're not off for more than a day, nothing significant is needed, just some in-game stuff.

Neither does telling people to go outside make any sense at all. People need to realize that they aren't supposed to dictate what others do with their (free) time. How about everyone SHUT THE HELL UP!!! I mean Im miffed at how ME3 got shafted by EA(It that shall from now on not be named) but Im re-playing ME2 and also playing Duke Nukem Forever. Sure it got crap scores, but its funny and I LIKE IT! Heck Go play Halo or Battlefield 3 or something.

I just hope they fix it in a timely manner without breaking something else. Seriously, after one thing is fixed another problem arises.

Well, I'm about done with Darkness 2 and I farmed 8k IP on LoL, yes my life is in a chair we covered this earlier.

Still no MP, sad face

It was working fine for SOME people, myself included. Haven't had a single problem, not once. They should only be ashamed if more people are affected than not affected.

The affected seem far more likely to come on the forum and complain about it, however, so there you go.

This is the only compensation I need, after seeing how they screwed up the packs and somehow nuked multiplayer... well, lets just say that I don't have faith that the compensation pack won't nuked my system next.

Note: I think the above sentence makes sense... double negatives are annoying.

Double credits would be nice and all, but yeah Bioware wouldn't want to boost the thing that keeps people from buying packs with Bioware points.

Eehhhh. I am much for that whole "Commemorative weapon distributed on G day- Or the declared victory over glitches thingy," I am the starter of that little movement though, so I am unreliable I guess.
Still seems better to celebrate the glitch fix day then to demand level 5 N7 weapons.

Ah yes "compensation" we have dismissed that claim.

But in all seriousness it would be a smart move give out something. Wouldn't be too hard (fingers crossed given BW/EA track in distributing packs) to just give some free consumables or free credits. I bet it would go a long to appease the community. Even at McDonald's you get a free icecream, if your burger is cold!

I agree with compensation. It's pretty sad really. I had a good SP character rolling, and couldn't even play that today during my "bored hours".

Play time is limited and this crap happens, figures.

Oh, and Compensation should be SP and MP. I'm really perturbed about not playing that SP game today. Knowing EA, it'll be a few days.

This is due to their status as "affected."  They'd like a resolution to the problem that "affects" them.  People who are "unaffected" by the problem typically don't *complain* about that problem.

In other words, what do you expect people, myself included, to do when they've spent a lot of money on a product that doesn't work?   I've contacted EA several times today and received nonsense.  If you don't like the complaining, then don't read the thread.

Considering that those who do now have working MP don't have commendation packs, pretty much. You have to wonder how participation flagging iterations actually work.

It's stopped working and they're fixing it. I mean, if you bought it brand spanking new and turned it on today, and it was broken then you deserve to be peeved. But if you've been playing it for weeks (aka mostly everyone) and now it's down for a few days, there's no need to get all up and arms, just be patient.

I'm one of the unaffected (as in, I haven't had a single problem with my Multi or Singleplayer this entire week), so to become like me just empty your mind, have a break, have a Kit-Kat *coughshamelessadvertisingcough*, and relaaaaaaaaax.

It's only a few days peeps, not the end of the world.

Yeah, because being unaffected gives you such perspective...:mellow:


Try not getting your N7 Commendation pack for Goliath and contacting tech support then shelved. Now you can't even play the game and have no idea if you're going to be screwed out of another Commendation pack.


Some of us LIKE to play this game. Some of us have friends they play it with and the idea of compensation isn't anything new. A lot of Free Online Games give out things for the smallest hiccups, this is a few DAYS of downtime.:sick:

I actually DIDN'T get this because I missed the deadline... because I bought ME3 the weekend it began XD

Don't play the "some of us like this rah rah" card, we won't bother to be here if we hated its guts. Now, someone from Bioware actually said Commendation Packs may be the cause of the game breaking for some people, so they'll try and fix that first. I mean, you'd prefer they fix it then give you a working pack rather than a multiplayer-destroying one. I got mine, and I'd suspect they might delay giving them out right away to be certain, but you SHOULD eventually get that Pack if you earned it.

Besides, that Pack could contain an Eagle. It's almost worse than nothing :P

I'm expecting them to extend the time on the Prem Spec Packs.

They should top it off with an "Apology Pack", equivalent to spec pack or better, only for those affected by the Online Pass issue.

Then again they have gotten super-lame this year so they we'll be lucky if they don't spit in our face instead.

Oh, and to those saying they don't owe us anything: If this downtime lasts long enough, I won't get to redeem my Commendation Pack before it expires. A pack that was earned through Gold games and the usage of supplies paid for by Credits and Bioware points (actual money). So yeah, they do owe us.

If you just can't play Multiplayer right now, then stop whining and suck it up. You deserve nothing. Mass Effect is a CAMPAIGN based game, not Multi, it's just a bonus that can and will be down from time to time

No, wrong and wrong.

a) You CAN play Single Player by selecting the 'Go Offline' option on Origin client. I've tested it and it works.
B) If it's included in the game, its PART OF THE game. Multiplayer is probably more deservant of compensation than singleplayer since it involves ACTUAL MONEY. Some people spend a lot of it on packs.
