You can check out the offical announcement here.  Now, how does this relate to DA2 or the Dragon Age universe in general?  Well, I remember the DA team saying that they were aggressively looking at Skyrim for ideas on DA3, and I've heard (minor) rumors about a possible Dragon Age MMO.  I just hope BioWare also "aggresively" looks at ESO to see how Bathesda is building and crafting the massive world of Tamriel for an MMO space.

Hint:  they are going to have three factions, not two.  And it will feature and encourage wide open exploration with player-driven PvP content.   I hope if you ever do a Dragon Age MMO you capitalize on the rich world you have created in Thedas.  (Templars, mages, qunari, dalish elves, dwarves - you could do so much.)

Oh my god.....

They're making an Elder Scrolls MMO?!

I'm praying to the Maker that Bioware will never create a DA MMO.

What........I'm a shocked at this news. Several times over Todd Howard has repeatedly said no to an MMO version for Elder of the Scrolls. Something serious must have happened to make him change his mind.

Being a Elder of the Scrolls fan, I do not think this is a good idea for them to do this. Beyond that I don't think it would be a good idea for Dragon Age to follow with.

Going from a single player game to a MMO is a huge leap.

Wow...I feel like I was just told the news my granny died.

I remember that Todd Howard said that they where looking at a Elder Scrolls MMO before, same thing with Fallout. But the fallout mmo was to be developed by a diffrent company.

MMOs are a great way to make a quicke dollar, but now we have several MMOs in service and possibly inbound. Fallout, Elder scrolls, WOW, SwTor, maybe Mass Effect.

They wont make any money on that, people do not play diffrent MMOs at the same time right?

EDIT: And I sure hope that EA has more brain then that so they wont make an MMO from Dragon age and ME, that would be a horrible misstake and would cost them alot!

Honestly I am glad I got to play MMOs taught me a lot. But its doubtful I'll play one again, too many people pissing and moaning all the time. Gave me to big of a headache, I'll stick to single player games.

If Dragon Age turns into a MMO I will not play it no matter how much shinny crap they throw my way.

With most of Tamriel already mapped out from the previous installments, this mmo has potential. Also
Bethesda should seriously make a 500 person team to look for and handle the potential bugs/glitches.

They're going in the wrong direction. An MMO necessarily precludes a VATS-like targetting system, and that's exactly what TES games need.

Not really DA related, sorry. Please feel free to discuss this in the Off-Topic forum. Thanks!
