For me, if The Catalyst wasn't a boy wearing a hoodie, with a god-awful voice actor.

If it was like Vigil I think I could have digested the awful choices more...it seems wrong for the Reapers to be this little kids play thing.

Having IT proved true. The ending content stay as it is, but it's not the end of the game. Those last moments are still important to the game, but the player actually gets a chance at a proper ending.

If there was a proper ending scene with your LI and your entire squad cast (with those from ME2) maybe I wouldn't have been so mad about the ending...

Another good one.

The purpose of the thread is to see if it was the actual choices OR the lack of closure that creaetd hostility for the endings.

BSN posts seem to indicate both, but I'm curious as to which matters more. Would people accept the genocide/Synthesis/control if it allowed them to do the Rannoch/Beach/Earth/Victory celebration thing OR woudl you sacrifice that in knowing that the galaxy is saved via no genocide, synthesis etc.

do you mean accept as in think they were well written/implemented as is, or accept as in move on and purchase future bioware products.

For the former divine intervention, or major head trauma.
For the latter just bioware actually admitting they majorly dropped the ball as simple as "our bad, that was pure nonsense. we'll do better"

Shepard Reuniting with his crew and LI, an epilogue of your choices and characters. (not the stargazers), a very clear explanation that states intergalactic travel, trade, government and interaction is still very viable, There's a way for the Geth and EDI to survive the destroy ending with a high enough EMS, and no Normandy crashing on Gillian's planet. Retcon that completely....it's stupid and under not circumstances would joker and the squad leave Shepard.

If they do this I'll be happy

on a side note, I honestly think that the Catalyst would be much better if it had a reaper voice, looked like vigil or some random figure, or was anything but an annoying child. I know Bioware won't change this but ........ugh I hate that child so much

100% valid - as is all opinions.

Personally I don't care for the current endings either, but I'm just thinking as a realist - they will likely not be altered much via the EC - maybe at least seeing crew members will make it acceptable for some people.

For me though, just seeing that boy and hearing his voice "I am the catalyst" - I felt like turning off my Xbox.

It is ridiculous how much I would ignore in the rest of the ending if Shepard survives with LI and friends.

Beyond changing the ending itself, I don't think it's possible.
