Having IT proved true. The ending content stay as it is, but it's not the end of the game. Those last moments are still important to the game, but the player actually gets a chance at a proper ending.

EA/BioWare never being able to make a game again. Then I would accept it as the worst decision making to a great trilogy in video history and go to other developers not ruined by EA and keep their actual artistic visions.

Complete with outcomes affected by choices. This would pretty much put their next BioWare game back on the day 1 purchase list like their last games.

BW gave us a wonderful universe to play in... I hope they will let us continue to play in it. Even if we can't as our Shepards. I think it's possible for the EC to "fix" the big issues with the ending. Mass Effect still holds a special place in my heart, I hope the EC can begin to heal the wound.

I'm hoping for closure with my Shepard's crew & LI. Reunion with LI & Crew (Shep lives) or Shepard's funeral scene (Shep dies). I'd love a "X years later" scenes showing our crew moving on with babies of their own: Garrus & Tali in her house on Rannoch(sp?), Liara with blue babies, etc.

I'd like to see "Control" split into two: 1- A way to just kick the Reapers back to dark space and let Shepard live. Even if it doesn't destroy the Reapers and 2- Shepard joins the Reapers for permanent control[/b]. (current control ending)

I'd like to see "Destroy" split up too, with high enough EMS you can choose to kill the Reapers and yourself (Thus saving the Geth & EDI) or sacrifice the Geth & EDI to save yourself as it is now.

I'd like to see the Relays saved or rebuilt and a sense that I saved the galaxy.

Kunari.

This is a great point. To me, I don't mind the endings so lot as they are clarified and fit. But birthed from that, a reunion with the crew/closure via funeral or whatever. More importantly, the ability to continue playing in the univerise.

do you mean accept as in think they were well written/implemented as is, or accept as in move on and purchase future bioware products.

For the former divine intervention, or major head trauma.
For the latter just bioware actually admitting they majorly dropped the ball as simple as "our bad, that was pure nonsense. we'll do better"

The Galaxy cannot be left like it is at the ending.
Clarification on how Synthesis is not what Saren was talking about, or ask the God-Child what are you talking about.
All squadmates and LI need to have an ending and closure.
Shepard needs to be finished. I don't care if he got a procedure so he lives in Ramnoch, but cannot live the plantet. He gets a form asthma that he can no longer due space travel. Jack paralyzes him when she delivers triplets. Femshep decides to live on Thane's homeworld, becomes a councilor, becomes a cat lady, or becomes novelists. I don't care what the excuse is, but I do not want people in Mass Effect 4 stating why can't Shepard or Shepard clone be there. Don't make the Shepard like the Warden.

Get rid of that space kid by either just getting rid of him or replacing him with something else. Something that inspires fear and truly explains the Reapers' motivation but doesn't leave them as a bunch of tools and mindless morons.

Stop copying Deus Ex, those type of endings do not fit Mass Effect, do something that reflects our choices and that explains what is going on especially with Synthesis and Control. Synthesis apparently turns everyone into a hybrid through some energy explosion. Control is too easy, how is it that some human can immediately control the Reapers, a force that is nearly unstoppable. They should explain how that works because it seems implausible to me.

Nothing. The inconsistencies in the ending are too blatant to ignore or gloss over. They need to be redone completely.

Starting with the removal of the Star Child.

Besides the IT , which unfortunately is very unlikely at this point (even if the ending sequences felt really surreal) and would require a totally new ending , and since they'll won't totally change the plot:

- Expand the Battle for the Earth
- Get rid of the catalyst. No secret controller of reapers IN THE CITADEL in the last five minutes. Let Harbinger do the talk.
- Get rid of the Synthetic vs Organic argument, replace it with something else, or make a script which could actually convince us of it despite the fact that Shepard could have actually made Synthetic and Organics work togheter/love each other.
- Get rid of the normandy escape and crashing on an "eden" planet scene. That just embarrass yourself.
- Get rid of green space magic. Replace it with something else, even the original "became a reaper" option, if you find a purpose grave enough to make us think about doing it.
- Build a script which could convince us about control being an actual reasonable option despite i've just made TIM shoot himself challenging it. ("So the illusive man was right afterall..."... WTF???)
- Get rid of the "Shooting a tube while walking toward it" scene
- Make the choises made through the games affect the final outcome of the final choise (no, i don't mean that silly unified EMS value which you can boost through multiplayer...)
- Show what the **** happen to the galaxy civilizations and your companions (as i've said, you got rid of the silly normandy landing on eden...) after the aftermath of the crucible

You can keep:
- The sacrifice of Shepard. I don't care, if the outcome is worth it (and not a stupid leap of faith, or deliberately walking toward an explosion when there's no point in doing that).
- The loss of mass relays, IF and only IF you can give us a reasonable explanation how the galactic civilizations (and the victory fleet) are not totally f*ked up by it and doomed to chaos and death. Otherwise give use another option which won't destroy the mass relays.
- A grim ending (or more) between the choices available.

Nothing could get me to accept the ending as it currently is with nothing further added. If Bioware is doing what I think, then the current "ending" works rather well as is.

Until then I will sit back and wait. While I continue to play all my Sheps.

This is what needs to happen. Clarification CAN work, I'm convinced of that. The question is whether they make adjustments required.

Massive amounts of money or severe head trauma are the only things that would get me to accept it as it is. With a few minor changes though, I could accept most of it.

IT - I could accept it as it stands, but of course, that means we need something new after it.
Change premise - Instead of "all created will turn on their creators", make it about the chaos of organic life that leads to destruction. Highlight all the conflicts, of which synthetics vs. organics was one. And change synthesis to be something more symbolic rather than literal. ie. a wave of telepathic energy that allows the galaxy to be connected as one for a brief moment, something along the lines of what the Asari do. I believe forgetting how literary storytelling works, and forgetting ME1, ME2, and most of ME3.

Expansion on the battle for Earth, including seeing your choices play some role.

Make the ending decision coherent.

Make me feel that I actually saved more than I destroyed.

If there's sacrifice remember the sweet aspect of bitter-sweet.

Include epilogue detailing closure for all squaddies, supporting characters, and the state of the races that helped you.

Isnt this whole topic sort of a catch22? For those of us that are unsatisfied with it as it is.....well thats that.....as it is, it blows.....and if they did something to it to make us like it, it would no longer be "as is".....

The answer to the trick question that is this topic, is "nothing"
