There seems to be strange events that happen when someone "gibs" their saved game all the way back to ME1.
I get that cut content is not canon (even though, for some bizarre reason, that doesn't work when discussing KotOR2 with many folks).
What I don't get is: Why is there similar gibbed content is available in ME3 that had to be gibbed in ME1?
If the gibbed content in ME1 is not canon, why have the extra data that is dependent on that cut content in ME3?
Before someone pops up with the Kaidan wasn't bi in ME1. I know that.
Yet, there is still relationship-only dialog in the ME1 data where broShepard addresses Kaidan by name. The same thing happens at the beginning of ME3 with relationship-only dialog from broShep talking to Kaidan by name before reaching the dinner-date. If it's not possible to bromance Kaidan before ME3, why is that even there?
(Part of me thinks that BW played the gibbed EasterEgg game with this and put something in that only those who gib their saves can see as an homage to those who gibbed ME1.)
Unused data in relationships relying on unused data in previous games

Simpler and safer to just have the VO record all the lines than to go through and work out what's not going to be used. I guess.
(It's not a bromance if you're sleeping with each other, is it?)

I guess it's easier than coding extra logic to ensure that one is broShep and one is femShep and having to make adjusts for the missing dialog twice rather than just do one complete sequence and hope nobody gibs the variables.Wulfram wrote...

Yet... If that were the case, where's Ashley's, Traynor's, Garrus', Thane's, Jacob's, Miranda's Cortez's alternate dialog?
This is a situation specific to Kaidan and broShep as far as I know. I was hoping there are others.

I heard that both VAs do all the same lines. How true that is... I don't know. Would be funny to find Marks voice acting of a garrus romance lol.

Well, I guess Kaiden's a special case because he's the only romance where some but not all of the content is available to both Sheps.
Or maybe it's just a nice easter egg.
