I was going through my second game the other day, this time with my renegade Shepard, and at the battle of earth i saw that the banshee you fight when you get the Cain to destroy the reaper canon is actually named Morinth... I had to pause the game for a bit to make sure i was seeing right... I didn't pay attention on my paragon playthrough, but i suppose that it is just a normal banshee if you killed Morinth in ME2 right?

No she comes back to life to torment you.

I really have to wonder, how do you know it's Morinth. Is the nameplate all-knowing?

The same thing happens to jack. She becomes a phantom

And Legion, if you sold him to cerberus. Or is he just called Geth VI if you did?

Pretty sure it's just an easter egg, seeing as though there's no way to know it's her and no one comments on it.

Nice easter eggs, this was the first one i saw so i was surprised, but how do you see Jacks as a Phantom? Not completing her loyalty quest in ME2?

If non-loyal? Really?

Don't do Grissom Academy mission and she will be a phantom.

Don't know how loyalty fits in though.

Not going to Grimson Acadamy in time. This Phantom does shout Jack trademarks, and there are dtatapads lying around with Cerberus scientists talking to her before they cut her open, and your squadmates and Shepard do comment on her you kill her.

Tali:  Shepard, is that... you're alive?

Shepard:  *is wearing a helmet that completely covers face*

And where do you fight her? My guess would be she is amongst the phantoms attacking you when you reach the remains of the human reaper in the cerberus base...

It has to be. Otherwise, how could you trust anythign you see or hear in the game? That would mean the Catalyst was lying.

I wonder if you put an image of Casey in-game, if the nameplate will say "Harbinger". Admit it, it would expain a lot.

Yep, the HUD is all knowing as well as many other things.

I would have liked to have a bit more to the Morinth encounter than a Banshee that just gets its name changed. Hell even if they got rid of the Banshee that appears if Morinth was killed in ME2 so there is a consequence for choosing Morinth. But no they have to be fair to everyone, resulting in your decisions meaning squat.

I thought this was so insulting to people who choose morinth...
Well Samara was right: you'll regret this

Are there any other easter eggs like these? So far you guys told me about Jack and Legion... For instance, is there something about Grunt if you leave him in stasis in ME2?

If we can't trust the hud...should save this idea for a great mind screw down the road.

Indeed, I expected her to be at least a little more involved in the Ardat-Yakshi monastery mission...

I was glad I let Samara kill her. As much as Morinth wanted to be free [something I could sympathize with if she wasn't killing indiscriminately...] I don't even she would have considered becoming a Banshee a good thing

Morinth is so much more interesting than Samara. The potential of having a space vampire as an ally....sigh
What could have been!

Jack becomes a phantom if you don't rescue Grissom academy. I don't think her being loyal matters.

There's no justification for choosing Morinth over Samara.  Whatever Morinth gets in the end is too good for her.

My first playthrough, Jack was loyal and it still happened (I delayed going to Grissom because I wanted to take Kaidan along, mistakenly thinking that's where his biotic students would be; by the time he got out of the hospital the Cerberus coup happened and Grissom was sealed off.)

As far as the nameplate's knowledge, the Jack Phantom is labelled "Jack," but EDI also confirms it is her. I don't think anyone else does the same for Morinth, since nobody knew about her. (Maybe Liara would, being the Broker, not sure.)

Really? She never had a choice in life, she was either going in a prison for the rest of her life or being executed and I know that if I was her I would have done the exact same thing, better live a short real life than live a thousand year in a prison...
