Lucky you, did you get any invites to use for friends? I know others who did and am slightly miffed at that given I signed up the moment beta sign ups opened.

Nope only 1 key.  Stay tuned to their Facebook, Blog or news.  They announce when they've handed out a batch of invites.

I'll make a Dunmer named Veldrin as that's the area I want to see.  Once you get in a beta, you're in for the rest of them.

So, I've played about 2 hours into the game. I'm not impressed so far. The graphics are a step back from the gorgeous visuals of Skyrim and the animations seem stiff. The character models of the different races look worse than those in Skyrim. The leveling system is very restrictive compared to Skyrim's, funneling you into one of 4 or 5 classes.

I'm disappointed so far and I don't see myself changing my mind as I play more.

I don't know about that. Elder Scrolls has never been pretty.

The combat is WAY fun. I am def thinking about getting this day 1, this game seems like a super coop elder scrolls game.

@ Skelter. Most of them aren't. Skyrim is a beautiful game to play.

Played it for about 2 hours. I'll give them props for character creation. But gameplay seems stiff and I was disappointed I had no choice where to put first skill point. Not a fan of the 4 point font in their menus either. These are basic issues...

Not caring for this unholy blend of action-esque combat and generic MMO combat. Seems too slippery and weightless for the former.

There were a lot of Beta testers running around last weekend. They've got to know what needs work. I know I submitted rather detailed feedback.

But I would think they've heard what I had to say a bunch of times before...

 Meh, I was gonna give it a shot but they changed the rules so that any race can join any alliance.  This defeats the purpose of racial alliances.  Also if you pre-order the collectors edition you can play as an Imperial?  Wtf?  Then that Imperial can join any alliance to fight for Cyrodiil.  Fail.

But the racial restriction didn't make sense in the first place because the races are quite spread out in all the games. As for the imperial thing sorry I can't get worked up about the most boring race in the game.

My main concern is the price which is ridiculously high and may bite them in the ass. But then thats an issue for the publisher not the devs or the game itself.

Yeah, out of my price range. I'll try it when its free to play.

Glad to hear they got rid of the race restrictions. You were only gonna come across players of your faction in Tamriel outside of Cyrodiil, so that means Wood Elves(like I planned to play) would only ever come across other Wood Elves, High Elves, and Khajiit. No one else.

That would get old and quite boring. If any race can join any faction now, that makes it a lot more palatable, as far as coming across other races goes.

As for Imperials, I played one in Skyrim. Wasn't planning on it for ESO. Doesn't affect me much.
