In a questline? It's a little different than a random quest here or there. Questlines are always tailored, awards wise, toward a certain class.Joy Divison wrote...

I'm not saying the ESO got it right. In fact, I specifically told them in my feedback that their loot rewards needed to be conspicuously better precisely because more often than not what we do get won't be ideal and too often we'll be able to craft something better. But let's not pretend previous TES games have a track record of granting players appropriate loot that Zenimax screwed up on
I don't quite understand what you are asking for. Any class can use any kind of weapon or armor. You make your own class and you decide what you want to use. You can start out using a two-handed axe, then later decide to switch to healing staff, or bow, etc.
And whether you are using a specific weapon or not, the quest rewards often have traits you can research in the crafting workbench. Alternately, if they are higher quality you may be able to break them down and get tempering materials, or sell them in your guild store.
I know you can break down/research loot that is "wrong." Which is part of the reason why the "wrong" loot critque is hardly an issue to get worked over aside from the fact that sometime the "wrong" loot is in fact ideal loot.
However Zenimax decides what loot to reward, what you get should be noticably better than what you've already got or can craft. That way when you do get something that actually fits your character, you are genuinely excited about it. Most of the stuff I got was *slightly* better than my level and just meh. The argonian's dagger I received was *way* better than I had/could craft and thus genuinely made me happy i did that quest.

Hey, don't get mad at Zeni because you picked the wrong class.
I played the beta for a little myself. I found it leaving for the most part, and definitely not worth retail+ subscription. Mainly for reasons already stated.

That's a pity. I was really interested in this game, but I guess I might ignore it.

Some good news for ESO players
Will there be a character swipe?
According to the Shoddycast, yep
Apparently there is a ton of hate for this game on the BSN, but if anyone wants a beta key and doesn't have one for the stress test coming up tomorrow, send me a message or reply to this and I'll send you my +1 code. ![]()
not sure if it was answered but is this subscription based?
Yes it's 14,99$ sub fee a month.
I have been on the fence about this game; the subscription fee is not making me look too favorably on it, since I plan on getting it for the PS4 if I do get it.
One thing I was curious about was the prospect of turning into a werewolf or vampire, have any details been released concerning this?
How does a MMO developer continue to support their product without a subscription fee? I don't play them so I have no experience. Does it basically become pay to win?

After playing the beta I don't quite see how this game could become converted to free to play without messing up some of the game systems. The crafting for example, is a lot of fun, and quite complex. If the game became free to play, what would people be spending their cash on? Silly hats? Bypassing the research system?
- Is vampire/werewolf something that is only available at very high end levels, or is it something that can be achieved right away, if the player should go directly for it?
- Will the vampire/werewolf bring different gameplay mechanics into play, or will it just be another spell in terms of the MMO?
- Are the vampire/werewolf talent trees going to be fairly robust, or are the respective abilities going to function more as an afterthought?
I think it's rather unlikely that you could do it at low level.
They both involve new gameplay mechanics and have some interesting and fun abilities.
I got a code for the Beta, but the download took so long it was only ready to play this morning. ![]()
^ I didn't know there were still people out there with dial-up 28.8 modem connections ![]()
I only got the code on Saturday and it took forever(Sunday) for them to send my confirmation email so its no biggie
Any ideas?
I was thinking of playing as a healer with some DPS.
Back row support player half wizard/half cleric type character.
What is the best race in each faction for a healer?
Aldmeri Dominion: Altmer (High Elf)
Ebonheart Pack: Dunmer (Dark Elf)
Daggerfall Covenant: Breton (Manmer)
Do Imperials make good healers?
Is the following a good combination?:
Class: Templar
Weapon 1: Healer Staff
Weapon 2: Destruction Staff
Armour: Light Armour
What are the best skills for a dps healer type character?

My suggestion is go with Nightblade specializing in healing staff and light armor, sort of a blood mage type. Try to get blessing of protection and the siphoning morph that heals your allies as early as you can.

Unconventional and interesting.
So
Race: Dunmer
Faction: Ebonheart Pact
Class: Nightblade (Syphoning mostly)
Weapons: Healing Staff and Destruction Staff
Armour: Light Armour
