Well if its like GW2 you can be a member of multiple guilds but only represent 1 at a time for each character, you only get guild chat and benefits for the guild you're representing at the time.

Was pleasantly surprised with the footage. Still not digging 6 skills though.

Linky to a chunk of gameplay from quakecon. The game is looking better, but the animations need some work.

I really, really want to like this game. But most of the combat animations looks so cluncky and old. Like, in Morrowing, an game made over an decade ago? Can't they borrow the same animations from Skyrim? I'm really on the fence if I should buy this or not....

I've haven't played an MMO in my life so I have zero perspective...but that just seems way too expensive. Is the actual game free?

Funny thing is, ask around.
That price point pretty much killed what seems to be a LOT of people's interest in the game.

Wow, an R$ 15,00 fee? PER MONTH? Good job Bethesda, you just helped me make my decision, you have one less costumer to worry about. Seriously, I'll have a good laugh if the opening sales turn into an monumental failure because of this.

Is it really free though?
I mean, you do have to buy the game full price.

The first 30 days is "free". While ESO won't need WoW numbers to make a profit I have serious doubts about this game. A monthly subscription is justified when the developers have the ability to pump out regular content updates and able to provide longterm endgame activities. That remains to be seen.

I want this game, but I have no right to complain about WoW being too expensive for me to invest in it if I don't bring up ESO as well.

I hope they realize the projected playerbase dropped at least by 50% with this.

Awww oh well. I will wait for it to go F2P in about a year like they all do.

Subscription model might be dying anyway. There's even talk of WoW going F2P. If any franchise can pull off a subscription model going forward, it's probably Elder Scrolls. It's definitely a lot stronger of a franchise and better lore than Warcraft ever had.

Yeah but we're in 2013 where the money just isn't there for the majority to pay for a subscription model of $15 a month.

You know what I think would be hilarious? if there were guilds/groups that had corporate sponsorship. Like NASCAR, but for MMO's. There could be a Mountain Dew guild that subsidizes all of its members subscription fees and gets free advertising when its guild pwns in major events.
Come on... who wouldn't love to see a Mountain Dew-colored group of bright green Argonians tearing through ESO?
