Dear Bioware, I think I'm done until you release an N7 pack.

Having maxed out everything other than the N7 weapons I have now gone through 40 straight PSP's and 20 straight SP's without a single Ultra Rare.  To say that this really pisses me off would be an understatement.  I have spent over five million credits on nothing but character training cards I don't need, and feel like I'm making zero progress.  And apparently now there is a rumor that once you have all your rares maxed N7's actually drop much less often.  So Bioware, you need to put in an N7 pack, and until you do so I think I'm done.  The ultra rare system you have in place is terrible, terrible joke.

I've maxed all Ultra-Rares and i'm fine. I will never ever make progress again, i play just for fun. Maybe you should try it out too?

You'll never make progress again? Have you forgotten about N7 levels and future DLC items? Also I call BS on maxed N7s. Unprivate your profile if you want anyone to believe that.

My question is, when you max out the N7's then what? You quit?

Then you can play for fun without being trolled by the store. Having stuff you "could" get, but can't  due to stupid randomness is frustrating. People will realize this and ragequit.

Agreed. We really need some N7 pack for a reasonable price. Because the current rate (one per 3-5M credits) of getting an ultrarare is just way too frustrating combined with the random nature of packs system.

I would be fine with just changing the specter(and PSP) packs so they always give you items you don't have.

Getting charachter cards you cannot use in rare slots is beyond frustrating. Fix that and I think alot of peoples complaints about the RNG would go away. That way, even if the RNG doesn't give you what you want, it eliminates other options so forward progress is made.

Right now, its almost impossible to level up N7's as the drop rate seems to be well under 5%.

How about this:

Weapon Pack- always gives a weapon you don't have.

That would fix the problem.

That would make unlocking N7 weapons trivially easy.  I just want an N7 pack for 500k or even a million credits.  Would be much better in my eyes than the constant wasting of credits on worthless character cards with no assurance you'll get anything at all.

I'm not done, but my play time has definitely been redirected towards other games with more realistic unlockable/reward systems.

Considering I'd be more than happy to have a Valiant 1 or Black Widow 1, and I have neither, while playing now rewards nothing but time spent and XP for promotions(character cards), it certainly lacks the excitement that the game had a month ago when finishing a match to finally afford that next spectre pack.

Its still somewhat fun, but given the repetitive enemies and environments, I find myself lacking any real amount of enthusiasm in regards to playing much longer.

See people this is why I dislike most farmers. They max out the stuff, complain that they maxed it out quickly (via farming) and there is no new stuff, then quit.
WoW mentality has spread to ME....

At this rate I will never max them out so it doesn't matter.

I don't farm.  Maxing out rares is actually pretty freaking easy to do by simply playing the game normally.

Way to cast aspersions in ignorance...

Personally tired of playing all day and dropping 3 or 4 million creds on a bunch of useless character craps.

Haven't seen a real useful weapon upgrade in over 2 weeks...thats a LOT of credits on nothing. Got a POS hurricane smg for my victory pack...another gun I'll use once in 50 rounds. thanks BioEA.

Would it really be so hard to drop an upgrade to your most used weapon once in a few packs? seriously...

garbage...

I don't have all the rares maxed. And I don't need them. I really use just like 3-4 weapons on 3-4 classes I play. Sadly, two of them are N7: BW and Talon. And I can't see them maxed in any reasonable amount of time. In fact, there's just close to no hope to see them upgraded one more time in say two weeks. That's what's pissing me off.

Ok let's hear. What are the reasons why there shouldn't be a black (N7) rarity weapon pack? Anyone?

Just need to increase the drop rate a bit. Having an N7 pack in the store would make you max everything too quick and then what? Getting the unlocks is half the reason why this game is fun.

It would trilialize the unlock system and make the N7 weapons worthless.

Worst idea ever

At 500k to a million a pop this is categorically untrue.

And when you had the idea to post in this thread, yeah that was a much worse idea...

If they theoretically have a 5% drop rate, it should cost 1.2 million credits to get an N7 rank on average (definitely not my experience, but let's just say I have bad luck), so an N7 pack at 1 million credits a pop would not change much other than giving players certainty that all their efforts aren't simply rewarded with meaningless character cards.

I think creating a useless thread just to complain like a spoilt child was slightly worse.

Do you realise how quickly farmers or glitchers can make 500k?
Even just playing for fun it can be made in a few hours. Everyone would have all the N7 weapons in no time.

What then? If the only fun is unlocking stuff (your words, not mine) then all the "fun" would be gone in a matter of days.

Hello...where does the theory come from that when you will max out all your N7 weapons you will get bored & quit playing & there will be nothing left to do??? I do not believe this.
Look at other MP games where you unlock weapons & stuff after you complete a certain level or so. Agreed they come by after putting many hours of gameplay but do people stop playing those games after they have everything??? I think not

As it is now, farmers are the only people who seem to be able to unlock N7's reliably anyway, and statitically 1.2 million is the going rate of an N7 rank.  500k to a million a pack would not be that big of a difference other than to remove some of the aggravation of the randomness of it all.   Hell I would even be happy with an N7 pack for 1.2 million price tag.  It'd still be way better than what we have now.

By the way, your constant douchebaggery is getting old quick.

There's also the likelihood that they will have even more content by the time most people ever max out their N7's anyway, especially if they are a million a pop.  Only hardcore farmers could rack up the 70 million it would take to max out all the N7's in less than several months at that price tag.

The only reason a lot of people are still playing at all is that they still havent unlocked all the weapons. If there was an easy way to unlock them, there would be far less people playing.

If youre sick of my "constant douchbaggery" then you could stop replying to me.
But i think you like it. It gives you a chance to have a bit more of a cry about an unlock system in a game (do you now realise how ridiculous that sounds?)

So a farmer farmed and then run out of things to farm, news at eleven.

That's what happens when you game the system, you run out of game quickly.

Agreed. It's just greed that's driving them just now expecting people to pay to purchase for points as it is not easy to unlock stuff. Maybe even 10 mln credits wouldn't be enough as it is purely based on luck.

Space Hamster Pack or no deal earth clan. The SHP would include one random space hamster (or character card for existing space hamsters in your collection) and other possibilities such as an assortment of helmets, space boots, tiny hamster gloves, and even mountable weapons on their back.

These space hamsters would serve a vital role in the Galaxy at War model already in effect. Your hamster will appear with you in multiplayer menus (to show it off to the less fortunate Batarian races whom ironically look like hamsters themselves) and depending on unlockables mentioned above will offer a small subtle passive bonus to you in gameplay. A morale bonus. This could be +2% extra credits earned for the squad upgradable to a max of 5% depending on your unlocks.

Other passives/hamsters include:
+4% extra experience for squad (upgradable to max of 8%). *Shepard Hamster (complete with n7 armor)*
+2% movement speed increase (max of 6%) *Beserker Hamster*
+2% extra damage to biotics and force (max of 6%) *Hamster Adept*
+ tiny change to chill/freeze targets (much less effective than cryo ammo). *Siberian Hamster*
and more!

Additional unlocks might include hamster vehicles such as miniture models of the normandy, maco, asari cruiser etc which your hamster rides on top of.

Make it happen bioware and watch your customers come crawling back!

Oh, NO! The items designed not to drop often don't drop often! What an unexpected and intolerable state of affairs! How will you feel good about yourself if you can't collect'em all immediately? Bioware, please do cater to this man's impatience and change the entire mechanics of your game around just for him.
