Dear Bioware, I think I'm done until you release an N7 pack.

At a million credits per pack, they damn sure would be.  Entitled?  No, but being rewarded for a time investment that far surpasses certain players is not something that should be out of the question.

your time invested, efforts, and credits spent mean absolutely nothing when you are playing an RNG game,

we have players who go through 100 psps with no n7 weapons, yet others unlock 2 of them at the same time with the very first psp they ever bought at level 12.
and that's just part of this game.

deal with it, and stop crying like a little baby.

Spent 2 million credits hoarded from hours of grinding Gold...and not a single ultra-rare. This is too depressing...

It isn't that it is "hard" to farm, it's that no matter how much you try you may not have more carrots than the person who plays a tenth of what you do, that is a problem with the system no matter how you look at it.

Look, I don't care what your idea of fun is, but don't tell me that unlocking things in the game can't be a driving force for playing.

And if you read my post on the breakdown and proposed changes, yes it would keep me and many others who see it like I do playing for a lot longer.  At least we would have hope that our invested time would result in something, no matter what it cost. Not changing the system assures many players out there will leave soon, that is if they haven't already.  So call it what you want man.  It's an easy solution to a very obvious problem in the store system that takes very little to change.  It also doesn't take away anything in regards to rareness of the weapons, as it would take months for you to earn enough credits to actually buy them all in the packs I have proposed.

I agree with that, it most likely would work for greater benefit for majority of players with a very easy implementation. I would jump on the nerf-RNG-on-ultrarare train.

But on the other hand, you can't deny what it is like to be playing in a community focused on gathering funds as time effective as possible. You'll have leechers, people leaving during game, elitists, newbie flaming, kicks due to weapon/class selection... All of which were strongly present on start of ME3, I like it more now when the communite has cooled off a bit.

Now c'mon, there would be no more or less than what we have now.  Everything you just outlined happens now and is relatively rampant in PUB gold matches.

Depends on personal experience, mine was terrible in the first month and I blame most people running for credits for that.

It can be frustrating to see others with ultra rares and assume that they spent less time/money than you did. But can also be wrong, there were mentioned people here on forums who spent over 3000 euros for BW points on the packs. Also if you go for PSPs as many people calculate it gives you best credit/reward ratio, you won't get any uncommons and only a very few common ones. This way you can easily outrank your uncommons with ultra-rares.

If you roll a 6-sided dice 6 million times, the rough numbers will be 1million rolls of each number. And indeed this is the math applied to ultra-rares by BW, you might be angry with people who got them on a few purchases but it is veeeeeeeeeeeeery unlikely that their trend will continue.

they should seriously just include the ultra-rares in the comm pack, either you get an ultra rare or an n7. It's not like the N7 weapons are any good, except the Valiant. So just let us have a chance to get ultra rares in commendation packs too. For those that already maxed their ultra-rare, then they'd definitely get one of the n7, since there's no more ultra rares to unlock.

Tell me how it is entitlement to think I should have more ultra rares than someone who hasn't played even a fraction of what I have?  Look throughout these forums and manifests and the results are evident.  I've seen a guy who has over 20 N7's and hasn't completed one uncommon or rare weapon.  I'm happy for the guy and I wish I had his luck, but that's ridiculous when I've spent millions and millions on the store and have 9 to show for it.

Asked and answered yourself on that one, but let's do some simple math, let's say you do 3 FBWGG and earn 75*3=225k in an hour and a half, and I do 4 silver matches and 2 gold matches and earn 35*4+75*2=290k in 3 hours. We both buy 4 spectre packs (for the sake of simplicity), how are your 4 spectre packs worth more than mine? The fact that you can buy more packs in the same amount of time isn't an indication of you playing more than me.

Other than that there is this thing we call RNG (Random Number Generator), what it does
is, you guessed it, generate random numbers that then the packs
transform into equipment, weapons, etc... so let's say in a spectre pack there is a 5% chance (again, for the sake of simplicity) of getting an ultra-rare, i may be lucky and get one or 2 or 4, that still doesn't mean that i don't "deserve" them because i'm a noob and play less than you, in fact in this case i play more than you, but stil, it's random so I might as well not get ultra-rares in any of them.

To sum it up, in this example I play more, have less chances of getting an ultra-rare and even if i get one in your opinion i don't deserve it because I "play a fraction of what you play" and just bought 4 spectre packs while in the same amount of time you can buy 8. Yeah, that does sound like some strong logic.

About the N7 pack, what will keep you playing when you unlock all ultra-rares trough this "solution" if you are willing to stop playing right now because you allready have all the easy to get weapons and don't wan't to work towards the hard to get ones? If your only drive is unlocking stuff as fast as possible, when you unlock everything you won't have anything to play for judging by your posts in this thread.

Luckily in a week and a half most "elitist" will leave to farm diablo 3 and maybe then we can have a healthier comunity.

Says the guy with 12 "weekend operation only" weapons. Rather go back monitoring the shop if it glitches so you can exploit it some more.

I love how you assume that I think you, or anyone else doesn't deserve the weapons.  Again, where did I say that?  I do assume that I in turn should have some compensation for the money I earn in the game and something to strive for.  It's honestly nonsensical not to have that option.

Regarding the N7 pack, I'll keep playing to unlock them.  You think at that price point unlocking the weapons is going to be easy?  All it does is guarentee you have something for that million you just earned.  Most don't earn a million in a week, so if you are using math, add that up!  By the time you even get close to maxing these, there will be many more weapons out there from patches and updates.  The alternative?  People leave before experiencing any of that.

I used to log on everyday and see no less than 10 playing the ME3 MP, now it's rare to see one and it is all for this exact reason I'm laying out here.

I agree that it sucks, but the game is still fun to play (assuming you are playing with friends and not randoms). I'd just stock up on credits for the time being. I do agree though, it's extremely disheartening to blow close to 5mil and only getting one Ultra Rare (in my case). That's a LOT of hours played for virtually no rewards.

Without new game modes or factions, the fun is kind of played out actually, especially when you can't really unlock anything anymore because the RNG is either broken or you just have really crappy luck.   By the way, have you maxed out all your Rares as well?  I'm really curious to see if there is truth to this rumor that that kills N7 drop rates.  The last time I got any N7's was when Resurgence had just come out and I didn't have all the rare guns from it maxed yet.  Since maxing then out, nada.

You do realize...there is a reason why we call it "RANDOM"?  Get it?  Yea...it doesn't get on it's knees to please you just because you feel like being a whiny piece of rotten fruit about it.  There are far better issues with the game to solve than your "waaaaa I can't guess the right number and I get my prize!".  Like fixing the lost credits during purchases issue.

Are you over 21?  Have you ever gambled?

Go to Las Vegas, NV, and start crying, pouting, and whining that you just don't seem to win at something "random" like Roulettes.  Yea, do it.  You'd make main stream news as the biggest crybaby in the United States (or wherever you  happen to reside).

This isn't really any different.  You have a 1% chance to lose your credits during your purchase.  Just another layer of chance, for this amazing system you've defended so well.

@OP.

Food for thought.  Gold matches take 25 min.  You make 70k credits.  So you're getting a pack every 20 min. or so.  That's one pack for every $3, assuming you can find a job that pays you minimum wage.

A lottery ticket costs $1.  For 20 min. of work, if you go get a job (or a second/third job) that's 3 lottery tickets for every 20 min. of work.  That's 3x the endorphine rushes in the same amount of time.

If this game has no value to you other than the excitement of opening a new pack, I suggest finding a cheaper alternative.  I hate the store system with a passion too, but I have fun playing the game.  I even enjoy FBWGG once in a while.

I imagine everyone posting in this thread agrees that the store should be more efficiently designed.

I doubt the store model will change because the game is nearing the end of its MP lifespan.

Yet threatening to quit playing a game for which you've already plunked doesn't hold much power as a threat. They have the money. You have the game. They have no reason to make you keep playing the game because they already have the money.

I'm in the same boat as the OP, and I must say it most certainly has drastically reduced how much I play the game. From the start, the only gun I ever wanted was the Black Widow. That gun never unlocked before everything else which isn't ultra rare hit X. Now I'm stuck with Wraith I, Sabre II, Paladin I and nothing else seems to be unlocking despite an endless amount of cash spent on attempting to unlock something new.

Yeah, in the beginning it's alot of give, but later on it does get alittle slow. Especially with all the character packs in between. Still, I'm at a point where I still get new things like new appearence for my Krogan Vanguard, so I'm not feeling too much heat right now.

But I'm almost maxing out everyone of my rare weapons, so I think spectre packs wouldn't be so useful to me premium or no later on. I guess when that happen I might stop playing, well until new DLC arrive or something.

But I agree, N7 ultra rare store special would be nice anyday. I'll save my credits for that.

To all the people bashing me and those posters who support me, please ****** off. We have a legitimate complaint, so take your fanboyism elsewhere. The credits we earn in matches are supposed to be used to unlock new things, but instead only unlock character cards we don't need. It's ridiculous, and there really is no decent defense for it.
