Sony did it when PSN went down for an "extended amount of time"
However do I think there should be compensation packs? No.

What about us PS3 users who missed out on 2-3 operations, the collector rifle, the BF soldier....
Need I go on.

What's an "extended period of time"?

Also PS3 issues are probably unrelated to the PC issues. That said, at least the comparison is apples and oranges rather than pineapples and pine needles.

Did you somehow happen to miss PSN getting hacked and going down for 1 1/2 to 2 months?

No, I didn't. My point is, what exactly is an "extended period of time"?  It's a bit subjective, isn't it?

That said, trying to compare PSN's being hacked to botched code in the game or Origin goes beyond apples and oranges comparison.

Also, read the EULA for ME3: EA and Bioware do NOT owe you compensation for anything related to interrupted game time.

I still think I should be compensated for the time I'm unable to play while I'm at work. :?

Also the countdown when everyone is ready? This is just wasting precious time...at LEAST make it 3-2-1 why make us wait 2 more long seconds? This is absolutely ridiculous....
I mean the collective time could eventually amount to 1 or 2 full games I could have played!

Gift pack pl0x.

Is it normal to wanna play what we have paid for ? I think so,

@nasonia :
if i could, i compensated you, this is not normal when we take a break longer than 5min :D
We wanna play 24H/24 and 7days/7 :P

@KiraTsukasa :
wtf to have to work whereas you can play at ME3 MP ;)
But seems you do not work so hard as you can post here ;) Don't worry, I won't tell it to your boss,
because of doing the same thing ;) Otherwise, I can ask him for paying you staying at home :D

@Angel-Lightning -- I suggest reading the EULA for ME3, which says that EA/Bioware does not owe the user compensation for interrupted game time. You agree to these terms by purchasing and playing the game. You could suggest that it would be nice of EA/Bioware to compensate you for missing out on 24-48 hours of playing due issues on their end; however, you cannot demand it because EA/Bioware owes you nothing according to the terms set forth in the EULA. The OP thinks he is entitled to such compensation because he wasn't able to play. However, again, referencing the EULA ... he actually has no such entitlement.

Wow, you really didn't bother to read the thread. Dealt with that issue about 3 pages back. 1. I don't live in the US. The EULA provisions don't apply to me in the country in which I live. 2. I've never made a legal argument. Learn to read. And no, not all opinions are equal. Some, like yours, are dumb.

But, since it is so hard to get the concept of CUSTOMER SERVICE through your adolescent brains, let's try another tact:

As I said in another post, I'm an expat living in South Korea. I make about $50 USD an hour.

Time is money. If you can't grasp this concept, you either work at McDonald's or you haven't graduated high school, thus, Mom and Dad paid the $59.99 to get you this game.

Just checking on this game (to see if it is working, get my commendation pack, and deal with other technical problems) has cost me a minimum of 1 hour of my life. $50 USD please. Of course, we could argue what the "baseline" of proper compensation would be, but then again, I NEVER ASKED FOR MONEY...THAT'S RIGHT...I ASKED FOR SOME CUSTOMER SERVICE...nitwit.

In the end, Bioware's incompetence on this and a number of issues has cost all of us time. Yet, instead of acknowledging this, or even trying to make amends, they rely on fanboys (and gals) like yourself to defend their incompetence to avert managing/dealing with a problem. For the community college crowd, this is what is known as "externalizing costs." Ever wonder why companies make phone trees where you have to push "1" for this department, then "3" for the next, etc.? They have externalized a cost. Instead of paying someone $10 USD an hour to personally take calls and expedite customers to where they need to be, the create a digital "middle man" that costs a fraction of what a paid employee would cost. Now, YOU, the customer, must spend your time (which equals money) to get the minimum service that the company should be providing to you. Time is money...

Still don't get "externalizing costs?" Then, well, go back to flipping burgers and STFU.

And again, as I told another poster about three pages back...if you are ignorant about legal matters...STFU. I don't live in the United States. Where I live, the lack of warranties on a digital medium does not apply. But then again, as I posted above, this whole discussion was never a legal argument. It's about...drumroll please cause I'm gonna repeat myself...CUSTOMER F$#$@#$# SERVICE! Learn to read...

Obviously, you aren't communtiy college crowd material. You still don't see how they externalized part of the cost of this fiasco onto you, the consumer. I'd like to have fries with that coke...

Actually everyone sees the problem with not having access to a good you paid for.

Not everyone is throwing a hilarious butthurt tantrum over it though. That's why it's funny.

Please go back and read the thread. I have, on multiple occassions, dealt with the erroneous canard of subscription vs. free.

As I posted, time and time again, this is about CUSTOMER SERVICE. You know, that thing where you want to keep your customers happy. You did buy the game, right? You are a customer, right? As a business, they should want to make you happy so that you continue to support their business.

How are things down on the shallow end of the gene pool?

Again, if you bothered to read, I've also posted multiple posts telling people that I am purposely trolling them. Really, I do want a moderator ban. I'm just waiting for it so I can tell Bioware goodbye.

You addressed it wrongly. The right way would've been to edit your post and removed any trace of the WoW comparison so people wouldn't immediately laugh at you. Lol.

I'm sure you do. In truth, you're just butthurt. Those 48 hours you must've gone through withdrawal or something.

If you wanted a ban there'd  be some questionable images in this thread already. You're also pretty deluded if you think there's some personal interview where you can get your two-cents in with a forum moderator about your grievances with a product they may not have even had a hand in.

So, if I don't give you the Cliffnotes version of why customer service is important, then I "addressed" it incorrectly?

Never asked for an interview...just a ban. As long as I keep trolling, I can plant evil little seeds in fanboys minds that might cost Bioware a couple of bucks. If so, my work here is done...oh, and it's fun rolling your face.

They had a server malfunction they couldn't predict.
Them taking time off their personal lives to fix it for us, and their sincere apologies, AND manually making sure all the Exorcist Commendation Packs got through should be enough. There is a little thing known as Story Mode, you may remember.
