That time PSN went down due to hacks was the first time in months I actually turned on my PS3... To make sure it wasn't hacked.

Them taking time off their personal lives to fix it for us, and their sincere apologies, AND manually making sure all the Exorcist Commendation Packs got through should be enough. There is a little thing known as Story Mode, you may remember.

Wow, you really didn't read any of the post, did you? Actually, for most of us, both SP and MP were down. For others, it is still down. In other words, many of us were locked out, completely, for 72 hours.

And what part of this had to do with personal lives? I never asked anyone to go to dinner with me. I asked for a little customer service. I know life is hard...it's even unfair princess...but when you work, and you screw up at work, then, as a company, you should show your customers that you value their business and are sorry you inconvenienced them. Pretty standard, actually. But then again, they know that the majority of their money is coming from fanboys now, so they don't even need to really say sorry.

Correction: the SP DLC was down. And that could've been fixed by putting Origin into Offline Mode. And by personal lives, I mean the extra time they put into recalibrating the servers so we could play again. Although your persistant stubborness indicates you are trolling us, intentionally or not.

The original post was somewhat about customer service (I agree that customer service for the PC is terrible), but in the end, the original post was really more about getting what people 'round my part call a "free lunch". They have no obligation to you to do anything other than fix the issue.

The issue isn't solved yet. So, umm, fanboys...if this were you, and you had been locked out for 90+hours, you are honestly saying you wouldn't be pissed? Trolling aside...seriously?

@Angel-Lightning -- I suggest reading the EULA for ME3, which says that EA/Bioware does not owe the user compensation for interrupted game time. You agree to these terms by purchasing and playing the game. You could suggest that it would be nice of EA/Bioware to compensate you for missing out on 24-48 hours of playing due issues on their end; however, you cannot demand it because EA/Bioware owes you nothing according to the terms set forth in the EULA. The OP thinks he is entitled to such compensation because he wasn't able to play. However, again, referencing the EULA ... he actually has no such entitlement.

Legally, you're correct.  Ethically?  You're full of it.  If I pay for something, I should have unrestricted access to it.  All of this DRM BS is just that: BS.  There's no technical reason to need a connection to a server to access the content on our own computers that we paid for.

For those who don't understand the difference between legal and ethical, it's perfectly legal to insult your customers by calling them an ass, or worse, but it's not exactly good business sense, and I find this DRM just as offensive, basically calling me a thief.

You would have a point if I had asked for something for free. I never did. I was asking to be compensated/reimbursed/whatever you want to call it for my incovenience. It's called customer service. In the same way that if you go to a McDonald's (favorite restaurant of all fanboys) and you wait 15 minutes for your Big Mac and a nice coffee or ice cream cone as an "I'm sorry" is generally good customer service, I would like Bioware to give me a digital "kissy poo" and say, "Sorry about that screw up. Here's a little something for your trouble. We value you as a customer."

Actually, Sweddington1, the EULA still applies in many countries outside of the U.S.

So, for the other people clamoring to get some sort of gift pack / special reward (so even if it doesn't apply in South Korea it applies to people living in the EU and US wanting special treatment), this should still be applicable.

Like I said, they need to improve customer support ... but the technical issue shouldn't involve the player base being rewarded. I do find it bizarre that you took time out of your work schedule to deal with an EA/Bioware support issue.

And don't forget the fine print. That EULA is not applied in the same way everywhere. In fact, outside the Retarded States, there is generally something known as consumer protection. I live in a place that gives me remedies...if I cared to exercise them...which I don't...cause after 12 years of supporting Bioware, I'm done.

The DRM is ethically questionable; that said, the EULA section about the warranty is legally applicable. That said, you didn't need a connection to the server to access the content on your own computer (if we're speaking of single player): you could have Origin in offline mode.

Hey fanboys...I heard the servers are down again. You still got big love for pappa Bioware? Wouldn't it be real nice if they gave you, oh, I don't know, a nice little compensation pack for all this mess?
