The DRM is ethically questionable; that said, the EULA section about the warranty is legally applicable. That said, you didn't need a connection to the server to access the content on your own computer (if we're speaking of single player): you could have Origin in offline mode.

I don't ask for a compensation, if you read the terms of service it should state somewhere there that stuff like this should happen (server outages) and they have the rights to not compensate the user about it, it's something we agreed with but people don't seem to read xD!
What I expect is a better job in the future, less outages and hopefully get the packs on time. =)
