Sorry, I stand corrected. Straight FemShep gets nothing; lesbian FemShep should be very happy with her choices. Too bad I'm not a lesbian, eh?

OIC.  Yes, that sucks.  I just played through ME3 as FemShep for the first time and didn't import a save game from ME2.  The pickin's are slim in this situation.  I would've gone for Garrus since I heard so many good things about that relationship, but I wasn't given the option.  And I'm not fond of Kaidan (he's the female Ash character, as far as I'm concerned).

Ran back into Liara's loving blue arms...  <3

I happen to like manparts. Too bad they were in short supply in ME3.

Welllll. The storyline, see. Generally, between the auto/notext and lack of consequences and having multiple choices but they all elicit the same reaction... that's disappointing. If you are male Shep you have multiple involved romance options (as much as 3 can be). However. If you are a female Shep, you have fewer romance options and very little interaction.

But that's not the kicker. The kicker is the fact that if you are female Shep romancing Kaidan and the cheating issue comes up, all three options for female Shep are basically apologetic (wtf? 2 years and a diss does not cheating make. I wanted to deck him but that wasn't in femshep's cards). But if you are male Shepard and the same scene plays out, Ashley gets called out. Super wtf. Now this is second hand knowledge since I've never played a male Shep. But apparently the female Sheps get totally shafted throughout the game. So as if the letdowns weren't crappy enough, female Shepard gets...slapped in the face THEN punched in the gut.


ETA: Don't believe the hype. Even Garrus is... meh. But it's not his fault

That's very big of you. I'm quite a narrow role-player: I like to explore various personality types and morality, but I like to stick with my own gender and sexuality. I get more deeply into my characters that way.

@Ravs Deserves MORE than just love? Oh boy! Why can't you be the one in charge? That way, Kasumi could have been a romance too, which would have been awesome to see.

Okay, so going *more* off topic now but it just struck me that Bioware's next DLC should be: ME31/2: Love You Long Time. Just one big free for all.

It's true: I'm a pretty awesome guy.  


But honestly, I do hope someone takes up the torch and expands the depth and breadth of the romancing options in a good RPG.  I suspect a lot of "non-traditional" (read: "female") gamers were brought into the fold thanks to the personal character interaction available in the game (plus, it was pretty cool for many of the "traditional" gamers as well). 

I'm sure expanding on this stuff in believable, mature ways can only be a good thing.

Kasumi should've totally been a romanceable character! :happy: Kasumi is just too cool for school. Well, I'll try to keep a happy thought for that come ME3.5.
