The funny thing about the score board is this...
I've noticed that those who run about dying many times (like at least once per round) also have the highest scores. So take that for what its worth. The score card doesn't reward smart or good play.

Thats because you stop shooting baddies and run across the map to revive em. People dying in the opposite corner i just leave there knowing that id probably end up dead aswell on the way to them. They are just not worth risking a medigel on.

Not always and the result is the same.

Join up with the Bronze Effect group - the folks there are all over the map in "ability" and "score" and such, because the entire group is about...

...wait for it...

Playing for FUN!

I wish it was ok to name names in praise, but since it isn't, I can only say go check it out.

I'd add you immediately, but I play on PC.

There are a lot of us who are just not very good scorers but willing support players. Happy to team up with you and have a good match.

BTW - I am usually last also.

I think I'll send you a friend request, you can't that bad if you care about your teammates enough to revive them.

I'm usually last on scoreboards, but at least I have fun. :)

That's... still why people play games, right? Fun? O_o

That's the idea. But to some it's quite the serious undertaking. Too competitive for their own good. If they're not first it's because the rest of the team are losers. Or something like that. Really dislike that mindset.

If you really go get the objectives and revive your team-mates you are FAR from rubbish. I wouldn't pay much attention to the scoreboard.

Scoreboards don't mean **** if you're doing your best.

Sadly you are on inferior hardware :P because otherwise I would gladly play with you. :)
My last three matches, I was about the only one doing anything about the objectives...

Sounds to me like you're a very good player actually. You're exactly the type of player I like playing with. I'll take a team player over a high scorer any day.

Like a lot of people have stated, doing objectives and helping out makes you a cut above most people. The fact that you think you suck is also in a way good, because you realize limits and look to increase your skill.

Keep at it and do your best, you'll improve. And even if you don't, as long as you're having fun - that's what matters.

I'm new to MP. On other games I suck at MP. I thought I was doing pretty good the first time I played...then, while waiting for the next game/wave...I got booted by the other three people in the game.
How the hell am I supposed to get better if I get kicked out? That's more than a bit frustrating.

Are you sure you were in a bronze game? Maybe they intended to go up to silver? Were you AFK?

Kicking players on bronze for any reason apart from AFK is absolutely ridiculous and should never happen.

What difficulty were you in: bronze, silver, or gold? If you're brand new and pop into silver or gold, chances are you'll definitely get kicked as those are harder difficulty levels. If new, get your feet wet in bronze for a while, then creep up to silver. There is ZERO reason anybody should be kicked from a bronze lobby, with two exceptions: 1. the person just spent the last game crouched in a corner doing utterly nothing (a.k.a. leeching) or 2. everyone else in the lobby is ready to start the game, but one person appears to have been abducted by aliens/taking a smoke break/otherwise holidng the game up for entirely too long.

Folks kick people for lots of reasons some of the valid others not, I  remember 2 or so days after the launch when folks still had no idea of what they where doing , I whent into the MP part and just joined, ended up in a gold reaper match with several other lowbies oh the fun we had getting stomped :D

The simple fact you know you're bad puts you miles ahead of many other players.

Keep fighting the good fight!

The people who " carry" the game are not the 100k novaguards who nuke everything or the SI who just sits in one corner with his BW. the people who "carry" the game are usually 3rd/4th and are always there to do the objective/revive a teammate. Also, the class you play heavily weighs just where you'll be on the scoreboard, usually infiltrators come 1st/2nd adn engis/support players usually come last.
Though what matters is to have fun. The rest will come in time...

I play Human Infiltrator with a sniper rifle and an SMG, and it's kind of the same for me as for you.

I'm not usually far behind, but I almost always finish 4:rd place. But someone has to finish last as well, right?
I do revive my teammates as quickly as I can though (the invisible doctor!), and when it comes to hacking those 4 objectives I usually hack them all faster than the wind, bringing the team some extra cash! :D

The most important thing is indeed to have fun. I've never been annoyed by other players for playing badly or for "stealing kills" (which is a ridiculous claim since the game isn't competitive and kill medals only gives you more XP which is easily accumulated anyway), the only time I can get somewhat annoyed is when team members are over-ambitious and run away by themselves and get killed (usually Vanguards... :P). But I don't get upset about it, it's just a game and I just try to revive them as I know they (the Vanguards) can hold the line much better than I could ever do.

Having fun together with your team is what the game is about, isn't it? :)

Agree completely. I understand kicking people on silver or gold, but kicking on bronze is inexcusable.

I thought I was rubbish to until I was playing with people with N7 levels from 300-2500 (I just reached 70 today) and I was constantly reviving them all. They were all mates I reckon they all had mics and were talking like they knew each other.
