The only way to get respect is to NOT post on the internet. The moment you can be lumped in with forum posters on the average message board you cease to be respected by anyone of note no matter how intelligent you might be.

It doesn't matter that people like TB often express ideas better than people who get sourced for interviews which get printed up in nationally-printed magazines, the fact he happens to put most of his product out on the internet instantly degrades his opinion.

Quite the unfortunate stigma to attach to the one defining technology of our time, I daresay.

To whit: it's better to listen to what someone says than focus on where they're saying it.

No, he's watched someone else play the game. Like watching a Let's Play. It's not the same of course, but it provides all you need to provide most types of commentary on a game. Obviously a review would be hampered as you wouldn't be able to comment on the controls and such, but fortunately he's not reviewing it.

An opinion is an opinion regardless of whether or not it is based on fact, hypothesis, lies, or fantasy. It does not require clarification unless the opinion holder wishes to clarify it.
Your analogy doesn't apply here, unless you are likening a forum -- designed for discussion and debate amonst people -- to a street -- designed as a channel in which modes of transportation are directed.

Based on your near incoherent rantings, I'd say you are mad, though not in the sense that you probably meant.

I hadn't actually heard about TB's boycott until recently. I do enjoy TB as a youtuber and I think a lot of people are being unfair to him. Sure, his opinion is equally valid as yours and do you have to care? No.

But I still believe his experience in these matters holds for something, he's not a person to build up a strong opinion on a matter without fully researching every aspect and to that extent it doesn't matter if he played or not as to whether he did/did not like the ending. He played ME1/ME2 and that is enough.

While I may not share many of his opinions, he is one of the very few game journalists out there that hasn't lost sight of what it is to be a gamer. He doesn't take a stance without reason, nor does he take one that cannot be defended.

I don't even like the guy, but he is to be respected by the gamer community.

The thing is, I've played ME1/ME2 and so has TB.
If I hadn't played ME3 at all and somebody showed me how ME3 ended I would not be happy. Not be happy at all. The ending is so disallusioned from the rest of the game that in this case I don't see how just watching the endings makes a difference to playing them!

This is easily seen with your lack of punctuation, contant run-on sentences, illogical use of words or word types (either not knowing proper form or actual meaning of word) and made up words (taked, for example), which is typical with someone on a rant as they are too excited to form proper sentences.

Btw, you are making an ass out of yourself everytime you use "ASS U ME" because the saying is, "when you assume, you make an ass our of you and me." This implies that both parties are being made into asses by the assumption. However, I'm not making any assumptions. The following is the dictionary definition of "opinion"

In no way does it say that this requires clarification or explaination. You are the only person here making an assumption (that an opinion requires a clarification, an explination, or a justification).

You are insulting other people and telling them to educate themselves when you hardly grasp the concept of what an opinion is.

As for the endings... I didn't like them. They felt unfulfilling and insulting. This is my opinion. Do I need to tell you why I feel this way? No. Will I tell you why? No. Why? Because why does it matter what I based my opinion on? Am I trying to convince or change you? No.
Is the reasoning behind my opinion going to affect your opinion on the ending or the game? Will my reasoning make you change anything about your life, how you eat/sleep/drink/game? No. My reasoning behind my opinion has zero impact on you, therefore I don't feel obligated to tell you.
