With all the fuss about the ending; is it worth playing ME3 to finish my story right now? Is it thát big of a deal? Or should i wait for the ending DLC. Is multiplayer playable without seeing spoilers?

In any case it is worth playing the previous 95% of the game for closure and the last 5% to see an example of how to destroy 5 years worth of sci fi excellence.

That last 5% can destroy everything you've enjoyed in hindsight, tainting all of those excellent experiences with an intense bitterness and confusion.

It does sound like a hype of exaggeration, but more because I really can't imagine how, when you've created one of the best stories ever, judging from ME1 and 2, you could possibly manage to screw up the ending to this extent. I mean it's normal for people to feel like it should be different when they expect too much from a series' final, but this is some extreme criticism everyone's giving, I can't really imagine Bio wasting it like that.
Then again, Dragon age II was a huge letdown as well

Just know that the ending is terrible at the start of the elevator scene(you'll know which one) and it'll be all good. That part's not the ending, merely the means to the ending, which is the stargazer scene set 10 thousand years after the events of the ending.

Maybe the only enjoyable parts were related to the Krogan and Quarians. Though with the bugs they are not fixing and the issues with the face imports and especially the ending... If you loved Mass Effect it will break your heart.

The Tuchanka quest line (and aftermath) is almost worth the cost of the game alone, and there is more that's worth seeing for a long-time ME player.
Multiplayer "spoils" enemies you'll face in SP.

If I was in your position, I'd play the game just to see how it could possibly be that bad.
It actually isn't. I've played worse. KotOR 2 was much more incoherent, ToEE fell flatter. ME3 doesn't even manage to be as much of a downer as Planescape: Torment (though of course that one was actually a good ending).

TBH the ending is nowhere near as bad as anyone says.
And no, Multiplayer does not reveal any spoilers. (Unless you count enemy reveals as a spoiler.)

If you already own it, of course play it. If you don't like the ending, you can take comfort that the EC is coming, and if you do like the ending, you can take comfort in that even more is coming in the EC.
There's no substantive reason NOT to play, other than "other people hate it" and if that's the case, and I'm going to turn into my mom here, I have to ask: if other people jumped off a bridge, would you do it too?

Yes, you'll love it.
Now I must resist the urge to hand out spoilers. Looking at your profile picture, it's so tempting...

ME3 almost made me regret buying ME1 and ME2, which are by far the better games. Not just because of the ending, which is the worst I have ever seen (speaking objectively).
You... don't know what "objectively" means, do you?

The ending is not perfect and does have a few plot holes but hopefully they will be fixed.

Personally I can't bring myself to continue the my second playthrough in ME3 or my third playthrough (currently in ME2) though because ME3 has really disheartened me.
You need to play to know how you will react. It's art, it's supposed to apall.
