It is like the best date of your life; only to have that beautiful perfect lady tell you she is going to a monastery the next day and has already taken her vow of celibacy after walking her home.

Take that for what it is worth. I rode some strange emotions after the game ended and if you are into being "effected" play all three games together. It sort of enhances the reaction. For me I'm still waiting on the second date response if she chooses to change her mind to a life of cardinal sin.

I'd suggest being intoxicated or distracted for the last 30-45 minutes of the game and its not too bad since you know they are doing something to "address" the end. But the majority of the game isnt bad, MP is fun too when you're not getting disconnected from the servers.

Play only if you like the gameplay enough to ignore the rest or if you feeling lucky (Who knows, maybe canon Shepard is like your Shepard).

I cannot recommend it the way it is now. 99.9% felt great, but then came the last five minutes. I felt empty after the ending and after all the hours of gameplay I put into the series all I thought was: what a huge waste of time. Granted, there is still little out there that is better than ME3 (at least recent games) if you are into storytelling and characterfocused RPGs, but I rather recommend you stick to the first and second part of the trilogy. They are great and even somehow complete in themselves.

I'd wait, it's kinda of a generic shooter more then an epic ending to a great series.

I didn't like Mass Effect 3. There were tons of bugs, glitches, the face code issue still isn't actually fixed, the journal was a disaster, the dialouge was nonexistent and terribly voiced and after trudging through all of that, you of course have the endings. For some it's a great game but I enjoy single player campaigns and I enjoy a game that feels like an RPG. I didn't like Mass Effect 3 because it lost its soul. I don't think I expected too much. I simply expected it to be beta-tested before release and that at the very least the same general level of quality as well. The DLC is not guaranteed to fix anything however. It's clarification, whatever that means.

???? That was not the ME 3 i played. THe only thing I will agree with is the crappy journal.

Tough call. When I played it for the first time, I thought it was awesome, mostly because I was wearing rose colored glasses. There are some missions that are excellently done, however there are many parts that are cheaply done and detract from the overall experience.

I was also one of those people who thought the ending couldn't be that bad and assumed folks were being melodramatic. Not so.

If you just accept it as a roller coaster with some ups and downs, it may be ok. But I wouldn't go all the way through to the end until just before the EC is released so you can see the original (if you care) and then download the EC to hopefully give you a better experience. Just my $.02.

I love it.

Honestly, OP, there's no one who can tell you whether or not YOU will like it.

My answer: it's not that big of a deal. You will probably go 'huh' for about ten minutes, then get on with your life.

Wanted to respond earlier, but didn't have time. Honestly - in my opinion - playing ME3 on its own wouldn't do much for me. If you've played ME1 and/or ME2, I would recommend continuing the journey, despite the end game. If you bought into "ME3 is a great time to get into the ME universe" PR BioW_EA_r promoted, and haven't played the others, you'll probably still enjoy it - but had I not played the other two, I'd view it as just another game where you try and save the galaxy.

I definitely think you should play it. Enjoy a great game, and make your own decision about the ending. Dont be a mindless sheep and listen to other people saying you should or should not like something.
