I found that there seemed to be times where a comment from a squad member would have been appropriate but they remained silent. Awkward.

I turn to you to think of situations in the game (or new situations not in the game) where various squadmembers should talk, comment or discuss stuff and what do you think they might say.

(silly or serious)

Would like more acknowledgement of the romance if Shepard has one, and also more dialogue between Squadmates and crew members like:

EDI: i am telling you Jeff, Mrs. Traynor and Commander Shepard have a romantic interest in each other.
Joker: EDI, you are sensing things, there is no way Shepard would get it on with her comm specialist.
EDI: i know there is something going on, whenever they are around each other, their heart rates and body temperatures increase.

or something like that

In line with what you just said:
If broShep tried to make a move (pun) on her during the Chess game:
EDI: Is there a romantic relationship between Shepard and Ms. Traynor?
Joker: No. The Commander's not her type.
EDI: But how do you know this? Shepard seems attracted to her.
Joker: Trust me, EDI. You'd have more of a chance with her than the Commander.
EDI: She prefers synthetics?
Joker: You wouldn't understand.
(continued if Shepard has not yet provoked EDI into a relationship with Joker)
EDI: Should I try to pursue a relationship with Ms. Traynor if she's interested?
Joker: NO! I mean ... Not at first ... Maybe someday. If she's interested in it, that is.
EDI: "In it?" Interested in what, exactly?
(appropriately awkward silence follows)

Is headcanon ok?
Because I wrote some banters for my headcanon where Thane is alive and a squadmember in ME3.
But idk. if they're a-ok for this thread...

If it's considered fair game I'll post them. If not....I'll just read the banters of others ; )
Great idea BTW

Ash Genophage Cure Banter.

Ash: I hope you made the right choice, Commander. With the Krogan, I mean. Curing the genophage. The galaxy doesn't need another invasion on it's hands after a showdown with the Reapers.

Shepard: Don't worry, Ashley. Wrex has a plan for his people. He wants to rebuild Tuchanka, not devastate it further with more fighting.

Ash: It's not Wrex I'm worried about. It's the unpredictable knuckleheads of the Wreav variety he has to rule that concern me. I'm not sure he can overcome them. EDI filled you in, right? Krogan breed like crazy. Worse than rabbits on steroids. You have to assume there will always be a few loose cannons ready to fire on the storied enemies of old in such a big, invasive bunch.

Shepard: Wrex has a lot of support on his side and Urdnot Bakara continues to curry favor with the smaller clans by appealing to their desire for change. They're spreading the message that the Council races aren't the enemy any longer. The only threat to Krogan stability now is their archaic thirst for blood and hunger for war. But I have faith in them. They're evolving.

Ash: Let's pray they adapt their diet. Substitute bloodlust, revenge and a side of Salarian liver with double cheeseburgers, fries and chocolate milkshakes. With those treats, simple pleasures like payback are sure to be a thing of the past. Hey, in a century or two maybe they'll go nuts. Renounce the use of Turian horns as toothpicks and celebrate their pile of rubble by adopting rocky-road icecream as a national treasure.

EDIT: Edited for formatting.

All righty then!

(Note: this is a Thanemancing playthrough oh, and whenever Thane speaks in bolded italics it means he's in a flashback)

Here is some JavikxThane taking place on the Normandy:

Javik: I sense your species have perfect memory.

Thane: Yes, as a result of adapting to our homeworld Rakhana.

Javik: I also sense that your kind have a tendency to get lost within those memories.

Thane: True, Whenever times are difficult we'd rather lose ourselves in a more pleasant memory.

Javik : Just do not lose yourself in my vicinity.

Thane: Have I offended you Javik?

Javik: Whenever the Commander is close, your mind lingers to moments too private for my senses.

Thane: Oh, my apologies then. I will try to keep myself in the present if I am able to do so.

Javik: You can try. But I doubt you will succeed. Your apology is welcome however.
---
And here's another JavikxThane (Assuming Javik did not look in the Memory crystal):
----
Thane: You have been eyeing me constantly the past hour, is something troubling you?

Javik: That which you do not speak of.

Thane: I 'm not sure I follow you.

Javik: You once had a burning vengeance within you.

Thane: Ah, I see, yes I had a long time ago.

Javik: Your..."battle sleep" was broken by...a female of your kind.

Thane: True, she was a vivid person.

Javik: Her death also prompted your path of vengeance, a vengeance you later wished redemption for.

Thane: "He screams. Words of pain reaching my ears. Two pair of eyes conveying fear. I show none, only fury for her death as I end his life slowly"

Javik: Vengeance in the name of affection and allies does not need redemption.

Thane: I chose to kill the ones responsible for her death. My redemption lie in making the galaxy a brighter place.

Javik: My vengeance will only stop when the Reapers are gone. And my redemption will be peace.

If you think you can do better, please show us what you got in mind.

If you don't think you can do better, please show us what you got in mind anyway.

I didn't make this thread to judge, but I like to see creative juices flowing no matter the source.

The squad-car crash on the Citadel. Had James in the passenger seat and EDI in back. The car's going down and nobody says anything.

That's one where James should definitely say something like "Oh, @&#%%%%%%%%%%%$!"

There was one time where Liara was where James was. She should have given a short scream when the car smacked against the side during its "descent". (Descent is relative in a centrifugal situation.)

And if not, maybe Shepard could make an understatement: "This it gonna hurt a bit."

@TheMarshal - Aww thanks! I miss him so much it hurts..Thank god for headcanon and imagination!

And here's another one from my collection: Thane x Joker!

Joker/Thane

Joker: Why, hello there Mr. Krios! Long time no see huh?

Thane: It's good to be back. Even if there are fewer faces that I remember.

Joker: Yeah changing employer all of a sudden does have that effect. After all I'm an expert at quitting at my job and coming back. I swear they cant resist my lovable personality...But, I wanted to ask you something Thane?

Edi: Jeff, I do hope you realize I can hear you no matter where my platform is situated.

Jeff: Oh yeah I know Edi, But anyway...I've always been curious..

Thane: Yes, Mr. Moreau?

Joker: Does the commander hallucinate when she "drellicks" you?

Thane: I...That's...I...would not be comfortable sharing that.

Joker: Aw, c’mon I'm never going to find out am I?

Thane: No.

"Vega can be heard over comm radio": Hahaha! You owe me 20 credits eh El Comodin*?

Jeff: Aw, man! And I really did want to know, because for science?

Edi: My estimate on the outcome of this bet was correct.

Joker: Hey Edi! Whose side are you on?

Edi: The sensible one. Oh and Sere Krios, I belive I speak for both me and Jeff when I say  it's good to have you back. You have been missed. Also I have kept Life Support empty. It remains at your disposal.

Thane: Thank you Edi. It is indeed good to be back.

(*El Comodin=Joker in Spanish)

Here is some dialogue I've been working on to help heal my broken heart over the lack of Samara romance anyway this dialogue takes place between my Jake Shepard and Samara when you talk with her on the Citadel in ME3, much of it is still a work in progress (I hope to work it into my Fanfic) this is a good place to get some feedback

Samara: "Your time is precious, spend it wisely and with those you care about"
Jake Shep: Pulls her in closer and they share a long deep kiss.
Samara: finally pulls away ending their public display of passion.
Samara: "Shepard, It seems we both still have our feelings for each other"
Jake Shep: "Samara if the Reapers destroy everything, I don't want to be left with any regrets. I want to give Us a chance while we still can. Because there very well may be another tomorrow."
Samara: "Shepard, you remain persistent as ever, but our minds need to be clear if we are to defeat the Reapers"
Jake Shep "Samara stop pushing people away. What you did down there on Lessus, it was a result of walling yourself off, keeping everything bottled up inside yourself."
Samara: "Shepard please don't go down that road, don't presume to know what goes on inside my head"
Jake Shep: "Samara I will go down that road. You denied yourself any contact with Rila and Falere for so long, only when the Reapers hit did you go visit them. It was too late for Rila and faced with the thought of losing Falere..."
Samara: "STOP"
heads turn, and the whole lobby goes silent for a moment.

That's all I got right now

(*Bromista=Clown in Spanish)

Not sure that Vega would call Joker el bromista. I figured that comodín would be more likely given Vega's proficiency at cards, Vega having New York roots and Joker's trying to learn how to beat Vega in poker. El comodín is the "Joker" in a deck of cards (or is any declared "wild card" in a game).

Given that the "Joker" in a poker deck is also "the fool", el comodín seems even more likely to me.

Otherwise, payaso is better for clown. Pendejo is a less polite (and yet, more common) version of joker/clown/fool, trending towards calling someone stupid (a word that is endearing with familiarity and insulting with strangers).

EDIT: Sorry. Growing up in a large bilingual extended family. (I would say "grew up" but I've figured out that never happens no matter how old we get.) It's our way to put our 2¢ into everything. (You should see my folks talk on the phone. English/Spanish/English/Spanish and it all starts to resemble the static from those old analog modems with as fast as they go at the same time and how much they switch languages.)

I thought the Garrus - Joker banter was GOLDEN. So good, but here I go for some Joker Javik.

Joker: Sooooo Javk .... Prothean huh. ....
Javik: Yes human, why do you insist on asking questions with obvious awnsers?
Joker: Wow who peed in your coffe?
Javik: There is no waste in my "cofee" human, I do not drink that vile tasting mixture, you are an idiot.
Joker: Wow charming, I can see why you were chosen as the leader of your "coming empire"
Javik: I was chosen for my cunning and skill in battle, I am the spirit of Vengence and the sword of the forgotten.
Joker
: Ya, ya I get it ... Ghost of Christmas Past and all that ... blah blah.
Javik: I do not understand this Christmas, Is this a human expression?
Joker: No, It's a religious holi......
Javik: Religion, a puny excuse for the weak to belive their lives are meaningful.
Joker: Uhhh huuuu.... Welll then ..... Is there no Prothean religion Javik?
Javik: The only "Religion" was the Empire, there is noting else.
Joker: Hmmm sounds pleasant, so the "Empire" ruled with absolute power i guess?
Javik: No one would dare question the leadership, disobedience meant death, all we did was for the Empire there is honor in servitide.
Joker: You don't regret your lack of freedom?
Javik: Regrets are for the weak.
Joker: Cool, superiority complex too. You are soooo very interesting Javik.
Javik: I cannot say the same of you human.
Joker: Thanks

In the Lounge of the Normandy, Javik sits quietly at the poker table, Ashley at the bar and
Samara and Garrus talking on the couch.

Garrus: "I've fought my own war against injustice"
Samara: "So I have heard, Archangel"
Garrus: "Yeah, I doubt it compares to the stuff you've done"
Samara: "It does not need to compare. Omega needs more willing to do what you did there"
Garrus chuckles a bit "Ahh well, I just did what I do best, right the wrongs, criminals pay for their actions, not go free. It's why I left C-Sec"
Samara: "You have proven yourself too against the Reapers. Experience is an asset, and one we are lacking against the Reapers"
Garrus: "I certainly do feel safer knowing your fighting alongside us. You don't let anything get in your way"

Javik "The only safety you know is gone, all that should matter is destroying the Reapers, not who is at your side"

Ashley: "And that's how you kill a conversation"

It's ok. Appreciated even.

Will edit it to "el comodin", it sounds way better actually. Thank you for the suggestion!
My spanish is extremely rusty. (It's been what...7 years since I had spansih in schoolPosted Image )
Also since I live in Sweden the Spanish they taught was the "european spanish" as opposed to latin american spanish. And our 30-year old Spanish-Swedish dictionairy at home didn't help me out at allPosted Image

Any length, any character(s), any situation (whether or not it's in the game).

Another addition of mine -- more of just a description than actual script:
Liara and Kaidan at the Athamian (is that a word?) temple (requires Javik on the Normandy).

She really needs to hit him with a singularity after the 4th time he brings up that Athame and her consorts resemble Protheans. She's obviously getting flustered and more annoyed each time he says it.

She loses her cool with Javik on the Normandy, but Kaidan's constant nagging about the obvious on top of all that's going on outside. She needs to lose it with him, too.

(Maybe she can apologize to Kaidan over an intercom conversation back on the Normandy after that.)

Without Javik being revived, Kaidan never mentions the resemblence.

EDIT: Got another one (got Thessia on the brain I guess)

Post Thessia chat with Joker about Shepard's state of mind.

If Shepard's scars are showing a lot (Renegade without surgery), Joker should yell about how Shepard's "coming apart at the seams, literally", but only in that situation. Not with mild, scratched lesions, but full on deep-gash scars. Maybe a red-eye requirement.

This isn't so much banter as an event between a keeper and Shepard.

In ME1, it's noted that attempting to stop keepers from doing what they're trying to do causes it to self-destruct and get replaced.

In ME3, there's that keeper that wanders back and forth between two terminals at the Normandy's docking bay. It stops if Shepard stands in its way.

I propose that, if Shepard stops the keeper too long (like 15 seconds?), a loudspeaker notification will sound to "please, do not hinder the keepers in their duties". Shepard will automatically mumble some kind of oops or apology and step out of the way.

If Shepard does this three time, the keeper will self-destruct. When Shepard leaves and returns to the area, a new keeper will be at one of the terminals and will not wander or, perhaps, a keeper at both terminals that both don't wander.

@Reggar Blane
I can totally imagine Avina's voice on the loudspeaker: "Please, do not disturb the keepers" (nostalgic moment from ME1)

And here is some ThanexEdi (After Legions death)

Edi: I have an inquiry for you Sere Krios.

Thane: You have but to ask Edi.

Edi: You are always civil to me. You were even if favor to bring Legion aboard after acquiring the IFF. Us being  synthetics did not raise any fear or suspicion in you. This platform wishes to know, why?

Thane: Because there is no need to fear A.I.'s more than organic life. Just because the body of an A.I is not made of flesh and bone does not mean it is not living.

Edi: I do not fully comprehend your reasoning.

Thane: Our bodies are not our true self, the soul is.

Edi: You consider me to have a soul?

Thane: Yes, you and Legion both. Legion's passing to the sea is a memory I will honour.

Edi: Would you do the same for me should this platform ever cease functioning?

Thane: Yes, though I suspect Mr. Moreau will be even more inclined to do so.

Edi: My programming does not support a response reflective enough of this platform's wishes. To use a metaphor on an organic saying "Your words increase my PSU temperature" is most accurate.

/Kudos to whomever figures out what organic saying Edi is referencing ;)

Javik needs to troll people. Not all the time, just once or twice in the entire game.

Say, he’ll come up on the bridge when a Mr. Shep is there, and then comment on how he senses how both Joker and Shep’s pheromones and heart rates shot up when they started talking to eachother.

Or in a conversation with maybe Liara and, dunno, Ashley, he can ‘let slip’ that the protheans did some genetic enhancement on stone age humans, like encoded brown hair to secretly also carry a pheromone that makes brown-haired people irresistible to yahg.

Her tummy rumbles? (The intestine supplies energy to the body, and its movement is responsible for body temperature.)

Spoilers! :P

Actually it's "Heart-warming".

I equated the PSU to be the heart given how it provides power through a computer like the heart pumps blood through the body and it keeps the body temperature in check ;)
