I'm using a human Infiltrator with the Black Widow and for the love of me cannot beat Reactor on Gold. It just doesn't benefit snipers and forces you to fight in cramped places with little to no manuverability. Can anyone tell me how to best use my Infiltrator to it's fullest in Reactor on Gold?

Wait...what? That map is a breeze for Infiltrators. Before the introduction of the Geth Infiltrator, I usually swapped between the Mantis X or Javelin I on either a Quarian or Salarian Infiltrator.
Now with the introduction of the Geth Infiltrator, as well as their bonus damage with Geth Weapons, I use the Javelin 100% of the time as Geth.
Anything else, and I still switch. The Mantis X just seems like it does a bunch of damage with a faster reload, as well as giving me the highest recast time out of all of my available Sniper Rifles. This way, even if I'm not shooting anything, I can still run in to steal objectives or revive team mates.
So try the Javelin. Especially if you have a Geth. Put Hunter Mode on, bump to the 15% extra health/shields in the bottom ability list, and then max out the other abilities. You'll have an insane amount of damage, although you can die easily with Hunter Mode on. However, you can see through walls with Hunter Mode, and you can see through walls with the Javelin too (so if HM is off, you can still spy on a target if they run behind cover and you are zoomed in).
The area to the right of the spawn:
When a match starts, I typically run to the right from spawn and instead of going all the way to the "water tank spot" (next to the ammo dump), I stay in that little corridor between there and the spawn. Basically, you end up in between two crates for cover, you get a great view of both ramps that lead up to the spawn location (the one directly in front of spawn, and the one near the water tanks), and you can also grab mobs coming up the ladder at that little secluded spot near the reactor core (the red glowing room).
The area in front of the spawn:
If I'm not there, I'm camping to the left of the spawn, in front of the ladder. Everyone knows this spot, but it's great for Infiltrators as we can pick off Brutes/Rocket Troops/Flamespitters (or whatever they're called) from there before they get to any of our team mates. Just be careful on some rounds because the enemy will spawn at OUR spawn location, so after every shot, while reloading, turn around and look behind you. As a Geth, you can see them coming, and roll backwards into the crate that they will inevitably walk in front of. At this point you can cloak + headshot, but if there are more than one, I recommend just yanking them over the side and introducing their face to your fist.
Across the map, at the computer terminal:
Again, here you want to stay in the little depressed area (so that your chest is where your comrade's feet are). You know, when you come out of the red reactor room? Turn left and you can hide behind there. Be careful, as it is thin enough to shoot through (especially Phantoms, etc). Anyway, you can freely move left/right here, to pick off targets coming from the reactor room, jumping from the rafters, coming from the far-side ledge, up the ramp in between the balcony/reactor. And if you leave the lowered area that you're hiding in, go to the left: you can hide behind the computer terminal if enemies come from the reactor room, and use that big water tank thing there for cover as well.
LOTS of cover at each of these areas, and each one of these locations has an ammo dump that you can reach without cloaking (although if you need to, obviously you should go for it and you can still get a shot in if you're quick on the reload).
The most important thing is to "play it by ear". Hear something around you? Cloak and make sure Hunter Mode is on if it wasn't already. Use the Javelin to zoom in on hiding spots to see if you can pick out a body behind there. Head shots when someone is hiding behind crates? So very, very fulfilling!
Good luck!
(Add me: "Nebulocity", my Origin picture is a red bearded dwarf). I'm not the best player in the world, but I LOVE Infiltrator in FB:R
PS - I generally run with the Armor Penetration mod (great against armor, shoot through thicker walls) and either Damage or Accuracy, depending on what map it is. Cerberus, I always go with Accuracy so that I can see thru smoke bombs better (and missing phantom head shots suck when you were right on target and they didn't move). Geth I generally go with Damage, and Reapers I generally go with Damage (I can drop Brutes in a few well-placed shots, assuming a biotic detonation doesn't shake my camera and cause me to not hit the head or spine, lol).

Are you trying to solo it or something? If not the answer is simply to get a decent team.
I prefer shotguns on my Human Infiltrator because the only power you have is Cryo, and the time of flight means that long range debuff then cloaked shots aren't really practical. At least you have a good rifle.
The areas covered in the post above are pretty good.

Thanks ;-)
Like I said, I'm no expert. My N7 rating is about 500'ish, which tells you about how many classes that I have promoted - more than the extremely casual folks, but much less than some of the 2000+ folks that I saw this weekend (2 weeks offline, had to order parts and build a new PC).
I'm HORRIBLE at Infiltrator, but on that specific map, with those specific strategies, I do very well. I also failed to mention that I usually equip either a Locust X or Tempest X equipped with the 45% not to use up rounds + weight reduction, so I have a sidearm to use close range and/or I run out of ammo and find myself not near an ammo box.
And by all means, you don't have to camp. You can be very mobile as an Infiltrator (sniping) in this game. But those are my "safe spots" becaues they allow me unparalleled vision of the battlefield while still providing cover and the ability to splat some heads. Just make sure enemies aren't sitting in your spot when you get there!

Sounds like you will need GPS X with proper ammo upgrade then you will blast it through in no time.

If you do that then Stardusk78 will go to your house and berate you for it though.FUS ROH DAH FTW wrote...

But yes, certain shotguns are excellent weapons. I run my GI with Claymore more often than a rifle (even though I have the rank 6 rifle evolution of cloak) and I also do the same on my SI every once and a while. But GPS is a very good weapon.
The map I personally think is the worst for rifles is Glacier. It's still workable if you are a quick shot.
